The command chair enveloped Cyrus, molding perfectly to his shape. Cyrus just sat still; his eyes scanned across the huge Strategic Command Hall.
Streams of data kept flashing on those massive holographic screens, casting a soft blue glow over his face.
For a few moments, he just allowed himself to relax as he leaned back in the command chair, liking the feeling of control, the seat of authority, and the every heartbeat of the Ark.
He quickly snapped out of it and rubbed his eyes; he couldn't allow himself to relax, not now, as he had a lot of business to attend to.
Right now, although the Ark looked marvelous on the surface, according to Noah, some parts are tough and need repairs, and he also needs strength to defend it when the apocalypse arrives.
Additionally, supplies are needed to sustain it; without soldiers to protect it, the Ark will just be a sleeping giant.
Cyrus shifted his attention to Noah as his expression hardened, becoming more serious than ever.
"Noah! Help me formulate a plan," he asked firmly.
"Yes! Administrator," Noah immediately replied.
Just then, the holographic screens in the hall disappeared as dozens of others appeared around Cyrus.
Overlapping screens filled with streams of data cascaded through the screens: graphs, figures, schematics, and charts.
Cyrus slightly leaned forward with narrowed eyes as he looked at the screens revolving around him.
"Administrator, the current status of the Ark is Level, and the energy reserves are currently 300,000 points of energy."
Cyrus frowned when he heard Noah, "300,000?"
"Yes," Noah replied, its tone as cold as ever. "50% of the initial energy was used to build the Ark. The remaining energy points must be held and allocated efficiently to ensure maximum operation when the apocalypse arrives."
Cyrus was silent for a moment, his eyes narrowed into slits as he tapped his fingers on the glass table with a thoughtful face.
Half of the energy is was used to build the arc, that means they have used up half of their resources to build the Ark.
So the remaining energy needs to be spent wisely.
A moment later, he raised his head and looked at Noah, and asked, "So where do i start?"
Without hesitation, Noah immediately responded.
"First, you need to purchase a large amount of supplies as soon as possible to fill the officer areas. The Ark must secure a massive food and resource supply to be self-sustainable."
Cyrus nodded slowly; he knew the true importance of food in the apocalypse.
After all, in the end times, hunger can kill you as fast as any zombie.
"Second, you need to activate the Android Production Base to start breeding personnel staff. These Androids will serve as soldiers, security, and management within the Ark. Without them, logistics and combat efficiency will drop."
"Third, you need to repair the Weapon and Defense Production Bases. If these bases are not repaired, the Ark will be vulnerable against the initial waves of the apocalypse."
Cyrus narrowed his eyes as he listened to Noah, he leaned back in his chair with his arms crossed over his chest as his silver white hair fluttered slightly.
His gaze was deep as he fell into deep thoughts.
On the surface, what Noah listed seems easy to handle, but it's not that easy at all.
To buy such a large amount of supplies has a high risk of exposure; breeding the androids and repairing the weapon bases also requires energy, which he doesn't have the luxury to spend.
As for the supplies side, he had little concern over that; he has already bought huge warehouse facilities located away from the city center, and with Noah's powerful computing ability, the risk of exposure is zero to none.
Cyrus's eyes flickered as he looked at Noah and asked, "Noah, how many people can the Ark accommodate?"
Noah immediately responded without hesitation.
"Excluding the androids, the Ark can currently accommodate 500,000 people."
"...Half a million people, huh!" Cyrus raised an eyebrow as surprise flashed in his eyes, but he quickly calmed down a moment later.
Come to think about, half a million people isn't that much compared to the total population of Gaia even in Apex City alone, half a million is a drop in the ocean.
He fell silent as memories of his previous life flooded back. Billions of people died screaming in assaults, starved to death, killed by their own people.
Entire cities soaked in blood, relentless hordes of zombies and mutated beasts tearing humanity apart.
So, half a million people... feels small compared to billions... is a mere drop in the ocean of despair.
But hey, against being extinct, these half a million are hope, a seed planted amidst chaos.
He came back to his senses and took a slow breath and nodded, "Good."
Leaning forward with his elbows resting on the table and his eyes glued to the holographic screens filled with data in front of him, he asked, "So how much food can these officer areas hold?"
The holographic screens in front of him flickered before dissolving and transforming into intricate schematics, showcasing a three-dimensional blueprint showing vast underground vaults rotating above the command table.
"The Ark contains 30 storage areas, each area is 3.6 million cubic meters, making up to a total of 108 million cubic meters."
Noah's cold voice sounded.
Cyrus couldn't help but let out a laugh; his eyes flickering with surprise, "That's even bigger than entire city districts."
"Correct, Administrator. Each officer area is tailored to meet specific resource needs. There are 10 cold storage areas for frozen goods, 8 storage areas for grains, flour, and cereals, 5 storage areas for liquid, oils, beverages, etc., 4 areas for preserved goods and medical supplies, and finally 3 areas for miscellaneous items."
Cyrus looked at the gigantic vaults on the holographic screens. Steel racks towered high, huge and gigantic containers, massive refrigeration vaults.
Cyrus was really satisfied with the storage areas; he couldn't help but laugh out, his eyes filled with glee. With these gigantic storage areas, the amount of food and supplies he can hoard is beyond imagination. With these kinds of supplies, he will never go hungry in the apocalypse.
In his previous life, he had witnessed unspeakable horrors - cannibalism, people killing each other for just a piece of bread, women selling themselves just to have a single strand of noodles.
But now, with this kind of storage vault, he can have food to last for years.
He took in a deep breath, "Noah."
"Yes, Administrator!"
"Immediately start placing orders now: rice, wheat, meat, oils, fruits, vegetables, etc.,anything that can be eaten, place an order. Medical supplies too. I want hundreds of thousands of tons of everything; fill every single one of those storage areas to the brim. And also place an order for livestock as well: 300 each of male and female chickens, cows, sheeps, any livestock that can be reared and eaten."
"Yes, Administrator," Noah replied.
And immediately on the screen before him, item lists began to flash in rapid succession while electronic orders were processed through cyberspace in real time.
Looking at all this unfolding before him, Cyrus was simply stunned by Noah's capabilities once again.
Offshore and shadow companies were established overnight, and shipments were arranged at lightning speed. Cargo routes across Gaia lit up in glowing lines as Noah controlled the logistics systems.
Cyrus's eyes sparkled with satisfaction as he nodded his head, "Good."
Leaning back in the chair, he asked, "Noah, how many energy points will it take to repair the Weapon Production Bases?"
"It will take approximately 100,000 energy points, Administrator."
Cyrus's eyes flickered as he fell into thought; that's one third of the current energy points.
He thought for a moment and then nodded his head and said firmly, "Do it."
"Yes, Administrator. Weapon Production Bases undergoing repair, it will be completed within two days."
Two days is neither too long nor too short, it will pass in a blink of an eye.
Finally, Cyrus stood up from the chair and said," Noah take me to the Android Production Base ".
"Yes Administrator " Noah immediately responded.
Cyrus nodded and without any hesitation he walked out of the Strategic Command Hall with big strides.
