Chapter 144 - Chapter 145: Little Tracy seems to have grown up~

Chapter 145: Little Tracy, you seem to have grown up~

"Cap-Captain?! How did you get here...?"

Inside the dim stronghold, Mirso, the "Silver-Tongued," nearly dropped the wine glass in his hand.

He stared wide-eyed, incredulously at Tracy, who had suddenly pushed the Door open and entered.

She was wearing an ill-fitting men's trench coat, her dark hair was covered in dust, and her flushed cheeks still showed the redness from a hurried run, looking completely disheveled.

This was far from the image of the always valiant and well-dressed Captain in Mirso's memory.

"Why are you here?" Tracy didn't answer his question, instead, she coldly scanned the Third Mate who had joined them halfway.

Her icy gaze made Mirso involuntarily shrink his neck.

"Captain, during your absence, none of us dared to act rashly..." Mirso swallowed, speaking truthfully, "Plus, things have been tense lately, so I'm temporarily hiding here..."

He cautiously observed Tracy's expression and hesitantly asked, "By the way, Captain, where have you been all this time? The First Mate and the others said you were already in an accident...."

He swallowed the words before they were fully out, but the meaning was already clear.

"I'm not dead." Tracy's tone was icy. "Are you the only one here?"

"No." Mirso quickly shook his head, pointing out the window. "There are also six Sailors under me; they're in a bar not far from here."

In reality, as a new member, Mirso was being ostracized by the First Mate, Second Mate, and others. After the Captain's disappearance,

the power struggle on the ship grew more intense, and he, the "outsider," naturally became the target of everyone's criticism.

Rather than being ambushed on the ship, it was safer to hide here and drink alone; at least it was safe, and he didn't have to worry about being stabbed in the back.

Tracy's fingertips lightly traced her coat, lost in thought. She naturally understood Mirso's situation and knew that the Third Mate's loyalty was still under observation.

But now, she desperately needed people...

"Fate is on my side." She murmured to herself.

"Go call your men back." Tracy looked up and ordered in an urgent tone, "There's an important mission."

Tracy, along with Mirso and a few Sailors, hurried through the dark alleys of Bayam, finally returning to the dilapidated pirate ship.

The sea breeze, carrying a salty smell, ruffled her messy black hair.

Her heart was pounding, and for some reason, she felt an inexplicable unease.

Sure enough, when she pushed open the Door to the cabin, her unease was confirmed.

The cabin was empty.

"Where are they?!" Her voice suddenly rose, and her fingertips clenched the Door frame tightly.

Inside the cockpit, only scattered ropes remained; Brando was gone, and the Orange Cat was gone too.

"He woke up, no, impossible, not so fast."

"Could it be that cat, but that's also impossible. Just that cat couldn't move a person as big as Brando."

"Someone, someone else must have been here."

Tracy's chest heaved violently, and an indescribable regret and anger surged from within her.

She came to the bed and saw the burnt marks on the rope—

"Damn it!" Tracy cursed.

She should have thought of it earlier! She shouldn't have left Brando alone here! Even half an hour was enough for someone with intentions to take him away!

"Damn it—damn it!" She gritted her teeth, her nails digging deep into her palms, as if she felt no pain at all.

"Calm down, calm down!"

She forced herself to calm down and turned to rush into the storage room deep within the cabin.

The Beyonder materials piled high inside were still intact, and a strong spirituality spread out along the cabin Door.

"They didn't come for the materials—" She murmured to herself.

If the other party didn't come for the materials, then it meant their target was Luo En.

Who was it? The Storm Church? Or other pirates? Or—that damned Edwina Edwards.

Her thoughts churned, and her fingers unconsciously caressed the cuff of the trench coat.

It was Luo En's coat, and his scent still lingered on it.

"Who exactly did this, and why?"

"Why did they snatch him away!"

Tracy's eyes grew gloomy, and her entire being visibly sank into a dark mood.

And just as she was immersed in anger and regret, Mirso, behind her, was quietly surveying the Beyonder materials in the storage room.

When he saw the number of Beyonder materials in the cabin, a hint of greed uncontrollably flashed in his eyes.

So many—at least tens of thousands of pounds—

His gaze slowly shifted to Tracy's back.

Tracy was completely defenseless at this moment, without any Mystical Item on her, and she hadn't even noticed his abnormality.

There was no mirror to create a mirror substitute, and the staff that avoided damage was also not there.

Her emotions were also clearly out of control; she didn't pay him any mind at all.

Most importantly, Mirso also noticed that Tracy herself was not in good condition, likely injured.

"Opportunity!" Mirso keenly realized this was a good time.

The First Mate, Second Mate, and others on the ship all believed the Captain had met with an accident and was unlikely to survive.

That secret stronghold was only occupied by his subordinates, and they hadn't encountered anyone else along the way, meaning no one else knew about the Captain's return.

Mirso thought that as a newcomer, he hadn't gained complete trust, so rather than being dependent on others.

Why not—why not seize these materials and start his own faction?

"Everyone else thinks you're dead; how can I disappoint them?"

A hint of ruthlessness flashed in Mirso's eyes.

He was a "Silver-Tongued," skilled at manipulating people's hearts, but even more skilled at seizing opportunities.

The Captain was currently only a Sequence 5 in poor condition and injured, while he himself was a full-state Sequence 6; there wasn't such a huge gap between the two.

If he were to act now, with his abilities and experience, he had a certain degree of confidence in killing Tracy.

Opportunity waits for no one.

"Corrosion"

His expression darkened, and he quietly used the ability of "Corrosion."

However, just as Mirso was about to make his move.

"Oh, my."

A ripple suddenly appeared out of thin air in the narrow corridor, and then a graceful figure slowly materialized.

She wore a simple, holy white robe, with high slits on both sides, revealing a pair of flawless legs, skin like snow, as tender as a young girl's.

This woman had black hair and blue eyes, clear and beautiful, possessing an indescribable charm.

"Little Tracy, you've made me search for so long~"

"Mother, why are you here?" Looking at the suddenly appearing Katarina, Tracy snapped out of her regret.

Why was she here—

Mother? The Captain's Mother! Mirso, who had been engrossed in the other person's beauty, quickly came to his senses, frightened enough to immediately withdraw his ability.

"Little Tracy went missing, how could I not go looking for her—"

Katarina looked at Tracy, who was wearing a men's trench coat, and smiled, "Little Tracy, you seem to have grown up~"

"And—" Her gaze turned to the storage room behind Tracy, "You've found so much Tracy."
