Chapter 148 - Chapter 149 Blonde Maid: The Captain Has Changed His Heart

Chapter 149: The Blonde Maid: The Captain Has Changed Her Heart

"Advancement?" Danitz was stunned for a moment, then frowned. "Now? Brando, are you mistaken? Have you already digested your potion?"

How long had he taken the potion? He had already digested it!

"You were there the day I drank the potion. A Lucky One, after all," Luo En looked at Danitz.

"Surviving a shipwreck, encountering ruins while drifting—even though I stumbled at the end, the first two items alone are enough for digestion."

He didn't dare to mention that it had "melted in his mouth" at the time, fearing he would scare the other person.

"Alright then." Danitz reluctantly accepted Luo En's explanation. "However, things are very tense in Bayam right now. If you're planning anything, it's better to wait a couple of days."

"Tense? What's going on?" Luo En asked.

Danitz walked to the window, pulled back a corner of the heavy curtain, glanced outside, and then spoke.

"I'm not sure of the specifics, but there are indeed rumors of martial law in Bayam, and the Storm Church has been unusually active recently."

"Although the Official hasn't taken any actual action, most pirates and Bounty Hunters have chosen to lay low for now. The Storm Church? Could it be related to me?" Luo En recalled the thunderstorm above that primitive island.

"In any case," Danitz lowered his voice, his expression serious, "if you want to find Roy King, I advise you to wait for a while until the situation becomes clearer."

Luo En was silent for a moment, then said, "If I want to leave Bayam immediately, can I just buy a ticket and go?"

With Bayam in such chaos, if he could just leave and get away from this troubled place, it wouldn't be a bad option for Luo En.

Danitz rejected this idea: "Whenever there's martial law, the docks are a key inspection area."

"Moreover, almost every influential pirate has his own people at the port. If Disease Maiden really still wants to catch you, leaving now is too risky."

"So troublesome—" Luo En rubbed his Sun. The identity of Brando itself was fabricated and couldn't withstand strict scrutiny, plus a Tracy… Sigh!

It seemed he was temporarily trapped in Bayam.

"Eat something first." Danitz pushed the plate of already somewhat cold food on the table towards him, then couldn't help but ask curiously:

"By the way, why do you think Disease Maiden will come to catch you again?"

"To silence me, of course—" Luo En replied casually.

He was indeed hungry. After confirming that his spiritual intuition was fine, he picked up the spoon and ate heartily.

Although the food didn't taste great, the warmth from the calories finally brought a hint of comfort to his weak body.

After eating, Luo En looked down at his still bare upper body and the ambiguous "rashes" on his neck,

He felt completely uncomfortable.

He looked up, his gaze falling on the rather nice-looking linen jacket Danitz was wearing.

"Danitz—" he suddenly spoke.

"What is it?" Danitz was sitting in a chair nearby.

Luo En scrutinized him, then said in a sincere tone: "Your jacket looks very new."

"Of course!" Danitz said with a hint of pride, "I specifically bought it for a high price before my vacation. It's made from the hide of a Beyonder creature."

"Does it have an inner pocket?"

"Yes, why are you asking that for…—"

"Wait!"

Before he could finish, he saw Luo En looking at him with a "you know what I mean" expression. Danitz's smile instantly froze.

"—What do you want?" He protectively hugged his arms.

"You see, I have no clothes to wear." Luo En pointed at himself.

"As a close friend, you'll help me, right?"

The "Black Death."

When Tracy, wearing a clearly ill-fitting men's jacket and exuding an aura of exhaustion and gloom, stepped onto the deck of the Black Death again,

The entire pirate crew burst into disbelieving gasps.

"Cap… Captain! You're alive!"

Tracy ignored the surprised and fearful gazes of her subordinates. Surrounded by all the Sailors, she emotionlessly announced her return.

Then, her gaze swept across the crowd, finally landing on the Third Mate, Misol, like a cold knife.

She said nothing, just stared at him with her unfathomable eyes. An invisible pressure instantly enveloped Misol, making him feel as if he was being targeted by a venomous snake.

Misol shivered in fear, instinctively lowered his head, and cold sweat immediately trickled down his forehead. He knew the Captain must have noticed something.

After what she considered a sufficient warning, Tracy did not linger, walking directly to her Captain's cabin.

"Captain! You're back!"

A beautiful blonde, blue-eyed maid with a graceful figure ran out of the Captain's cabin, her face full of joyful surprise, wanting to throw herself into her arms as usual.

She was Tracy's maid and her "playmate."

However, as soon as she ran up to her, Tracy's cold gaze stopped her in her tracks.

"Captain?" The blonde maid's surprise instantly froze, and a hint of confusion and unease welled up in her heart.

She had never seen the Captain look at her with such eyes; there wasn't a trace of warmth in them, only an aloofness that pushed people a thousand miles away.

Tracy ignored her mistake, pushed open the door, and walked in without a sound.

The blonde maid stood frozen, completely unable to understand Tracy's reaction, and hesitantly followed her in.

As soon as she entered the Captain's cabin, Tracy stopped, turned around, and pointed at the large bed she hadn't seen in a long time.

Seeing this gesture, the blonde maid's heart skipped a beat, and a blush immediately spread across her cheeks.

"So that's it—"

She thought Tracy was only cold on the surface, but in reality, after such an accident, she was already impatient and wanted to have some fun with her.

Thinking this, she shyly lowered her head, ready to unbutton her clothes as usual.

However, what Tracy said next completely exceeded her expectations, like a bucket of ice water poured over her, chilling her to the bone.

"From now on, except for necessary cleaning, you are not allowed to enter my room again," Tracy said, enunciating each word. "Especially—do not touch my bed again. Do not leave any of your scent on it."

The blonde maid stood completely stunned, her mind blank. She couldn't understand why, after only being missing for a while, the Captain, who used to dote on her so much, had suddenly become a different person.

"Captain, why—" Her eyes reddened slightly, and she wanted to say something.

But Tracy didn't give her any explanation. She just looked at the blonde maid with an expressionless face.

The blonde maid had no choice but to silently exit the room under that cold gaze.

"Click."

The door was mercilessly locked.

After completely isolating herself from the outside world, Tracy seemed to have all her strength drained, collapsing onto her large bed, burying her face deeply in the bedding.

She was so tired, both physically and mentally.

The experiences on this journey had left her feeling an unprecedented exhaustion. And finally, Luo En being taken away due to her mistake made her taste bone-chchilling despair.

"Brando, where on earth did you go?"

She tightly hugged the jacket on her, which still carried Luo En's scent.

Her cheeks gradually turned crimson, and her breathing began to quicken. In her private Captain's cabin, she hugged the men's jacket…

After a long while, everything returned to peace.

Just then, the surface of the large full-length mirror in her room suddenly shimmered with a strange ripple.

Immediately after, a beautiful woman with black hair and blue eyes, dressed in a pure white robe, walked out of the mirror with a smile.

"Oh, my~" Katarina looked at Tracy, who was disheveled and dazed on the bed, and chuckled mischievously, "My little Tracy, you seem to be having a lot of fun."

"Mother, why are you still here?"

"Of course, to talk about those Tracys."
