Grace's POV
"Sometimes I wonder if I'm too cold-hearted because I didn't mourn him for very long…."
"You don't need to mourn for him. I'm certain Tristan wouldn't want you grieving either. He wasn't the kind of person who'd want to weigh down anyone's heart," Miguel reassured me.
Having grown up with Tristan, Miguel understood him so thoroughly that he could easily predict what Tristan might say or do in any given moment.
"To me, Carlos is like a younger brother who needs guidance. Since he's bold enough to show his interest in you, I'll help him achieve what he's after," Miguel stated. He cleared his throat and changed the subject, "Why don't we grab something light to eat before we tackle the prenup cancellation."
Miguel summoned the waiter and placed our order, but I couldn't help noticing he requested several servings of macarons.
When our food arrived and I took a bite, I realized the macaron selection favored berry flavors over chocolate varieties.
