Chapter 20 - Planning for secret realm trial and Daniel Invitation

After this, he took the resources from the Beast Ring and released the Jadevine Monkeys into the Mirage Pavilion for a simple stay. The Mirage Pavilion in the original pet shop was vast enough to comfortably house these beasts.

Then he gathered all the spirit materials he had obtained from the secret realm. Looking at the dazzling array of resources, Aion's eyes sparkled. There were hundreds of Rank 1 herbs and fruits, and many Rank 2 herbs, including Lunaris Herb, Wild Tapioca Fruit, and Amberfruits. This would greatly increase the variety in his shop.

Among the Rank 3 items, there were three spirit fruits:

Souldew Melon – Nourishes both soul and body, keeping energy balanced and helping stabilize breakthroughs during Rank 4 advancement.

Spiritberry – Refreshes the mind, improving focus and recovery speed. Often used in recovery potions or fed directly to exhausted beasts of Rank 3 or below.

Green Pulse Apple – Gradually enhances overall physical strength and endurance over time.

There were also two Rank 3 herbs:

1. Whisperleaf Mint – Used to refine Whisperfocus Potion, which temporarily increases the learning ability of wind-type spirit beasts. There were five stalks in total.

2. Ironheart Ginseng – Dense with spirit essence, it is used to make Iron Power Potion, reinforcing muscles and spiritual veins to boost total power output temporarily. There were six stalks.

Both of these herbs were extremely useful. With all these additions, the variety of merchandise in his shop had increased significantly.

Aurin, the white monkey, spoke to Aion through their bond, revealing that he could brew a special kind of wine—one that could benefit both beasts and beast tamers. The effect, of course, depended on the type of spirit fruit and herb used. Aion smiled and told him that if he ever needed anything, he was free to take it from his collection.

Aurin carefully picked a few Rank 2 and Rank 1 spirit herbs and fruits. Aion had more than enough of these—if he converted them into Origin Points, he could gain hundreds just from the lower-ranked resources. Yet, he knew he could earn even more by selling them first and then exchanging the money for rarer materials. With that in mind, he stored the remaining resources safely in his Beast Ring.

He then wandered through the Mirage Pavilion, gazing at the lively creatures within. There were many Jadevine Monkeys: ten at Rank 2, four at early Rank 3, and a single mid Rank 3 at Level 35. Twelve playful cubs at Rank 1 tumbled about, their tiny limbs scrambling over one another in innocent chaos.

He couldn't bring them all back to his small shop—the Mirage Pavilion there could hold only twenty-four beasts at a time, and overcrowding would hinder its true function. But here, the rooms of this Mirage Pavilion were vast and airy, perfect for housing them safely. Maintaining such an environment would cost 50 Origin Points per day, but it was worth it.

As he stepped out, Aion spotted Hazel and decided she, too, would begin her training here tomorrow. He hadn't forgotten the sting of his defeat, and he shared his plan with her. Hazel listened, her eyes gleaming with determination, a quiet fire promising that she was ready to face whatever came next.

Afterwards, Aion asked the system if there was a potion that could strengthen his physique.

The system's voice echoed softly in his mind: "Currently, your strength is comparable to a mid-rank Rank 2 spirit beast. Once you reach Rank 4, it is recommended you take the Titanheart Elixir, specially crafted by the shop in Origin Alchemy Hall For 6,000 Origin Points, it can raise your physique to early Rank 4."

Aion considered the cost. At his current stage, he could afford it easily—but he decided to wait. With the pace he was advancing, Rank 4 would be within reach in about a week. But he also wants to enter the secret realm to complete the trial of possible but the problem is the will of secret realm would not allow him to enter again.

He paused, curiosity tugging at him. "Is there a way to bypass the Realm Will?" he asked the system.

The system's reply carried a hint of caution. "You may spend 10,000 Origin Points to evade detection and enter the trial directly. However, you cannot bring the Spiritbrew Monkey King along , as it originates from the secret realm; the cost for that would be significantly higher."

Aion's gaze hardened. He could not use Aurin, his third pet, in this trial. Hazel would have to shoulder the challenge alone again and this realization strengthened his determination to start Hazel training in Mirage Pavilion from next day.

After that, he placed Hazel and Aurin into his Beast Space and decided to go back. The silver tattoo on his hand glowed with faint light , and Aion found himself back in his room. It was early morning, and he felt a little tired, so he decided to take a short nap before opening his shop at 10 a.m.

After waking up and freshening up, Aion first headed to the Breeder Association. It was early morning, so the streets were quiet, and travel was easy. When he reached the counter, the young receptionist looked surprised to see someone visiting so early.

Aion inquired about the intermediate breeder assessment and submitted his details, along with a brief summary of his experiment on the healing skill learning process. He kept the full details private, but what he shared was enough to count toward his merit for intermediate breeding. The receptionist explained that he would only need to pass a written test and a small practical assessment.

She also told him that the next group assessment for advancing to intermediate breeder would be in three days. Aion nodded, satisfied, and then headed off to open his shop.

Aion reached the entrance of his shop and opened it. He took Michael spirit pet from the pavilion and placed it in the Spirit Nurturing Chamber, providing energy cubes as food. Then he summoned his other pets. Aurin, his third pet, looked around with particular interest. Having visited the Origin Pet Shop last night and now seeing this new shop in the morning, he realized that his master, Aion, was the owner of both. His curiosity and admiration toward Aion grew with every moment.

Aion placed both Hazel and Umbry into the Spirit Nurturing Chamber as well. The cost of 30 Origin Points was automatically deducted from his balance. He did not put Aurin in, as he had already reached the peak of Rank 3.

Next, he arranged all the spirit herbs and fruits in the shop display, labeling each container clearly. He then checked on the spirit beasts in his shop and provided them with food. Once everything was in order, he waited for new customers. He also posted his shop information on the Spirit Web to attract buyers.

After about an hour, a notification appeared on the Spirit Web. Someone had placed an order for four Spiritberries and all five stalks of Whisperleaf Mint. He had priced each Spiritberry at 10,000 Star Coins and each stalk of Whisperleaf Mint at 20,000 Star Coins, as it was the main ingredient for the Whisperfocus Potion.

He accepted the order. The total came to 140,000 Star Coins, and after a 10% deduction for using the Spirit Web, he received 126,000 Star Coins.

Some time later, a delivery agent arrived. After checking the order quality, he took the items from Aion. A few more customers came afterward—some buying spirit pet food, while others only inquired without making a purchase. In the process, Aion earned an additional 6,000 Star Coins. The amount was modest, but it was still profit.

The shop bell chimed as Daniel burst through the door, his grin wide and his energy even wider.

"Hey, boss! You're really amazing!" he shouted, striding over with arms open for a dramatic hug.

Aion's eyes widened. He took a quick step back, hand raised defensively.

"Wait !! I'm not into men—keep that enthusiasm over there!" he said, half-joking, half-serious.

Daniel froze mid-step, his arms still hanging awkwardly in the air before he scratched his head with an embarrassed chuckle.

"Ha… come on, it's just a friendly hug! Don't make it sound weird."

Aion smirked, crossing his arms. "Then stop running at me like that."

Seeing Aion expression Daniel laugh awkardly with embarrassment.

Aion raised an eyebrow and asked, "Why are you so happy?"

Daniel's face lit up instantly. "Damn, you should've been there to see it! I won both the quarterfinals and semifinals! Everyone was cheering for me—it felt like I was on top of the world!"

He grinned wide, barely able to contain his excitement. "Boss, it's all thanks to your timely help. Without that, I would've been eliminated back in the quarters."

Aion smiled slightly, crossing his arms. "You performed well. I didn't expect you to be that good at fighting," he said, giving Daniel an approving nod. "Keep it up—and good luck for the finals."

Daniel scratched his cheek with a shy grin. "Heh, thanks, boss. Oh, and if you're free, come watch my match tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m.!"

Aion gave a small chuckle. "If I've got time, I'll drop by. Wouldn't want to miss seeing my employee become a champion."

Daniel laughed, his mood even brighter than before. "Then you better come—I'll make sure it's worth watching!"

Then Aion looked at Daniel and asked with a small smile, "Do you want to train your pets in the Mirage Pavilion? It could help them improve faster."

Daniel paused, thinking it over. The idea sounded tempting—especially with the finals approaching. "That doesn't sound bad," he said. "How much does it cost, though?"

"The cost is 2,000 star coins per use," Aion explained. "Each session lasts two hours."

Daniel rubbed his chin, considering it for a moment. "Hmm… then I'll go for six hours."

With that, he summoned his second spirit beast—and to Aion's mild surprise, a small Electrosquirrel appeared, its fur faintly crackling with golden sparks.

Aion raised a brow in interest and quietly activated Origin Insight to view its information, curious about the creature's abilities

Species: Electrosquirrel

1. Spark Guard(Rank D, Perfect) – Conjures a flickering shield of lightning that absorbs incoming attacks.

2. Flash Rush(Rank C , Advanced)– Dashes at blinding speed, striking foes multiple times or evading danger instantly.

3.Thunder Jolt (Rank C , Proficient)– Launches a small bolt of electricity that can stun or paralyze the target briefly.

Daniel trusted Aion completely. After all, without Aion's help, he wouldn't even be standing in the finals tomorrow. Though he didn't expect his beasts to grow much stronger in just a day, he still wanted to repay the favor somehow.

So, he decided to help Aion with his shop's business—at least that way, he could show his gratitude in action.

Looking at Aion's calm, smiling face, Daniel nodded firmly. "Alright, boss. I'll get going for now," he said before heading toward the door.

Aion watched his back as he left, a faint smile tugging at his lips. How could Daniel's little thoughts escape his eyes? Shaking his head with quiet amusement, Aion turned and walked back into the shop.
