Then Aion took Daniel's two spirit pets and headed toward the Mirage Pavilion. He also brought along Michael's spirit pet. After reaching, he activated the pavilion's training function and placed each of them in separate rooms.
After some thought, he secretly transferred the memories of all the beasts he had seen, fought, and studied into the Mirage Pavilion's system within the secret realm. He adjusted the difficulty according to each beast's strength and then activated the training session for Daniel's pets.
Next, he activated another session for Michael's beast, setting it to fight against its mirror image. By doing this together, he managed to save a few origin points since each activation cost him 20 points.
Now, he had only 20 origin points left—not enough to keep things running which is risky for the shop's function stability. Deciding not to take chances, he planned to recharge soon.
Since he had earned a good amount today, he placed an order for resources worth 200,000 star coins through Spirit Web. After finishing all his tasks, Aion sat back and waited for the delivery to arrive.
After two hours, the Mirage Pavilion's training session finally ended. The beasts were completely exhausted—Daniel's pets, in particular, had no strength left to even move. The opponents they had faced were modeled after the fierce trial beasts Aion once encountered in the secret realm, and though the battle was virtual, the exhaustion and impact were very real. Both of Daniel's beasts had been beaten black and blue, while Michael's wolf spirit fared a little better, managing to stay on its feet, as this is not first time it faced it's Mirror image.
Aion carefully moved all of them into the Spirit Nurturing Chamber to rest and digest what they had learned from the intense training. Within the shop's protective environment, no one could harm Aion, and all the spirit beasts followed his commands without resistance.
As he looked at the resting beasts inside the chamber, the delivery he had been waiting for finally arrived. Opening the package, Aion found four Spirit Beast Cores of elite-rank peak—each worth fifty thousand star coins. Without hesitation, he absorbed their energy. Origin energy surged through his body in powerful waves, nearly pushing him to the next level, but he skillfully redirected and refined the energy into pure origin points instead.
When the process ended, he had gained a total of 3100 origin points.
He could have used that energy to strengthen himself directly, but the thought of entering the secret realm trial again held him back from advancing further . The rewards in secret realm trial were far greater which will be shortcut to his rapid growth—and if he could secure the inheritance hidden within, it would be the perfect opportunity to rise even faster.
Now, with more than 3,000 origin points in his possession, Aion was one step closer to fulfilling the requirements for his next shop upgrade.
He entered the Mirage Pavilion and looked at the remaining spirit beasts with his Insight Eye. He could see that all of these beasts had evolution potential and could be evolved into Rank 4, which would be cost-effective and more profitable. He currently had 300,000 star coins left in his balance. After considering his options, he decided to buy the necessary resources to evolve them to Rank 4 potential.
Since he could not bring them into his Origin Pet Shop—they were not his bonded beasts—he resolved to spend another 200,000 star coins to purchase resources and evolve the beasts that required the least amount of resources. After reviewing them, he found four such beasts. He ordered the resources on Spirit Web, as going himself to buy them would take too much time.
No new customers arrived for two hours, so Aion put the beasts into the Mirage Pavilion for training again. Daniel's beasts whimpered—they hadn't forgotten their last torturous experience—but could only follow, dejectedly. Aion looked at their expressions and thought they might be cursing him—fortunately, he couldn't understand them, and they couldn't speak human language. This will make you strong for the finals, he mused softly.
This time, Hazel and Umbry joined in for the first time. Aurin watched them with wide, curious eyes, anticipation written all over his face. For now, though, his own power was still transforming with Aion's talent, so he had to sit out, observing the chaos with what looked like restrained excitement.
After activating the Mirage Pavilion, which cost him 20 origin points, Aion went to check the Spirit Web for recent news. This time, the secret realm had become widely known, and everyone was talking about it with anticipation of the secret realm opening. However, the Clark family was a major name, with many king-rank beast tamers in their ranks and even Overload Rank person in charge. Most people could only sigh and lament the family's incredible good fortune.
After the resources arrived, Aion took them and selected four beasts that were currently at Rank 1:
Springtail and Verdicrawler, both with only early Soldier Rank 2 potential.
Ashfang Jackal and Horizon Stag, both with Early Elite Rank 3 potential.
All four required relatively low resources to evolve into Rank 4 potential, so he chose them carefully.
Aion selected one room in the Mirage Pavilion and prepared the resources for the Ashfang Jackal first, mixing them in precise proportions according to the data from Origin Insight. Aurin sat by his side, watching curiously.
The Ashfang Jackal immediately consumed the prepared resource and rested it to digest it. Knowing that natural evolution took time, Aion prepared the resources for the remaining beasts one by one. Each beast consumed its share and rested to digest the energy.
Once everything was in place, Aion instructed Aurin to keep an eye on them and moved to the shop counter, half-closing his eyes to rest while keeping watch.
After about half an hour, Aion received Aurin's thoughts and rushed to the room. The evolution lights were flickering on each of the beasts. His heart pounded—he was nervous yet excited. According to the system, the chances are 100%, but… what if something goes wrong? Even with the certainty, Aion couldn't shake the thought of "what if."
After some time, the lights stabilized, but the beasts could evolve at any moment. One by one, each beast began its transformation. Aion's excitement surged with every flicker. Aurin, who had never witnessed anything like this before, stared wide-eyed in awe.
Aion's pulse raced as he watched the final moments of the evolution. When it ended, he looked at their new forms, a satisfied smile spreading across his face.
He quickly used Origin Insight to examine their updated information.

Looking at the new beasts and their skill descriptions, Aion realized that each wind-type beast now had an additional passive effect: fire resistance. The Ashfang Wolf had evolved into Galeash Wolf instead of Inferno Wolf, now displaying characteristics of both wind and fire.
Aion's thoughts raced as he tried to understand the cause. He called out to the system, and a voice replied,
"The beasts should evolve in an environment without interference from external factors. But you evolved all four of them in the same place, so their affinities influenced each other. You are lucky they survived; otherwise, their lives would have been in danger."
Aion broke out in a cold sweat, realizing the magnitude of his mistake. How could I make such a rookie error as a breeder, with all the knowledge I possess about beasts? he thought. In his excitement, he hadn't considered the risks. Now, he reminded himself to think everything through carefully before proceeding, vowing never to forget such critical information again.
He looked at all the beasts. They ran to him, circling around and tenderly touching him, as if thanking him. He provided them with some beast food and let them eat their fill.
Afterward, he stepped outside. Seeing Aion leave, Aurin was stunned by his master's prowess and followed him out of the Mirage Pavilion room, his curiosity and admiration clear in his eyes.
