A distant range photo and close range photo showing off an achieved intimacy of him and the knew model on the block Angie, snapped from different spots as it was clearly showed to him by his wife who was now in despair, turned out a hard nut for Madrat to crack with just an ordinary explanation.
Especially now that his musculine voice was turning up a big disappointment _ not bold enough to give a convincing accountability.
Overcome by despair, on yellowish, nearly tearing eyes, Shee Bah reminded Madrat:
"On your thirtieth birthday just the other year, you forced me to cover my makeup that took me almost a full hour to wear. When I stepped down those stairs so appetizing, ready for my man's special day, what did you tell me? Only for my entire beauty to end up covered behind a black Arab female veil _ just like you asked me to!"
Quoting her husband's words, in a reported speech Shee Bah added aggressively:
"All because; once the media knows about us it is going to ruin us; Sentences like: what the world does not know about they can't ruin; you're not ready to see a tear roll down any of my eyes _ bla bla... And all other excuses you said to my face just to make sure no one out there gets to know about the bond we share!"
Softly with emphasis, Madrat said:
"I meant every word Shee Bah. I don't want what we cherish this much to turn into wary."
"I believed you. But right now, you've left me with no choice."
He can stand and sit in anxiety, walk around the room confoundedly, after all his words alone were too weak at the moment to satisfy the doubts he had created in his wife, which were inspired by obvious evidence in photos flooding her inbox. His head spinning as he scratched the back of it, trying to search for a convincing explanation to give her, mentally Madrat questioned himself:
"How can I turn the tables...? If at all I can!"
Overly puzzled, Shee Bah sat back down on the chair. Infact, she never wanted herself to get lost in this whole scenario in the first place. All she had wanted was a reasonable explanation from her husband _ to prove to her that his kissing with another woman is not what it seems to look like, so that she can rest her case on a clear mind.
After all, for the two years of their marriage, she has always been both the main and side dish on his menu.
But the surfacing lies were clear loopholes in Madrat's road map.
However, the relationship needed to stand on healthy grounds. And if it was to come to a stand still, at least not Madrat to be that bustard who initiated the break. He stood up from the bed side. It was high time to prepare a safe ground for himself to land, before bad turns to worse. He walked towards his wife and dropped down; his knees right next to her feet, slightly in touch. With remorseful stares, Madrat looked at Shee Bah before he placed both his hands on her laps.
Wearing very innocent eyes like a hungry cat looking at a milkman milking his cow;
"You have all reasons not to trust me....! Am sorry for not being true to you this time. You need proof that there's nothing serious going on between me and Angie, right? I'll provide concrete proof. I need you to understand that with the all of me, our marriage means a lot. I can't do anything foolish."
As his hubby, looking at him on his knees carrying his cross, Shee Bah felt some sort of sympathy.
And in a Piteous voice she replied:
"I've always been the listening one here, the patient and tolerant one. And maybe with all that, I am reaping the fruits of my labour."
Madrat stood up:
"Of course not sweetheart!"
Very vulnerable he leaned in, closer to her face while he caressed on both her upper arms. And with a deep gaze into her brown eyes he added:
"That is part of a million reasons I give myself for loving you!"
Shee Bah sighed in wary and faced away. Silent for a few seconds:
"You know I'm not stupid, right? So, whether you're in support of my decision or not, I've made up my mind _ to call the cameras and share our love story to the public."
Madrat raised, distancing away from her in total wary:
"No! You can't do that!"
She insisted:
"Yes, I'm going to do it! Why not?"
In a vulnerable voice he showed her the repercussion:
"Look sweetheart, you can't! It's going to ruin everything for me! Think of the controversy it will bring between my fans, yours and Angie! Think about the multimillion dollar contracts I may loose! Come on sweetheart!"
He desperately added:
"The public eyes is a sadist!"
Shee Bah stood up laughing indifferently. She turned and looked him in the eyes.
"Your career, right? How about mine? I'm a public figure too with a reputation to keep. Is it really about ruining your career or you're scared that your new relationship with Angie may loose grip?"
She added, stressing:
"A point to remember, I am your wife!"
Bringing up an argument, he said to her:
"As a celebrity, you should be knowing how any reckless decision can put my career at steak! I don't think that's what you would wish for your personal person!"
Out of control, Shee Bah responded:
"My personal person you said?! Then why didn't that click in your mind while having a good time with Angie? Holding hands all over the place... drowning in eachother's lips like you were eating ice cream! You're just being selfish here Madrat."
"No Shee Bah, it is you being over sensitive here!"
Shee Bah wasn't at any point to give Madrat an excuse for his behavior. Angered and hurt more by his words:
"As a celebrity too, you would've known the losses you were to incur before making such a careless move."
Bravely, she added quarreling:
"We can't keep our relationship in shadows forever! Stories like; what the public doesn't know, they can't ruin _ have not yielded any positive results for me! And now that I'm the one being lied to by the man I claim to be my husband with his ring holding tight on my finger, who knows what I will have to face in the next dispute?"
Shee Bah was to stop at nothing to go back on her decision. Boldface, once again she added:
"Come to think of it; this can be a fantastic promotion strategy for my new music album which will have its premiere two weeks from now!"
With Shee Bah's aggressive words, what else is Madrat left with to say, to call his wife to order? Perhaps to command and show her that am the man of the house _ you must obey now when I talk.
