Night fell.
Naruto tossed and turned in bed.
How to save the Uchiha clan… how to pull them out of this looming crisis—that question kept circling in his mind.
Of course, there were simple, brutal options.
Like the ones he and Shisui joked about before: march up to the Third Hokage and Danzo, beat them bloody, and show them that the biggest fist makes the rules.
After all, wasn't that exactly how Sarutobi and Danzo kept the Uchiha in check? By flexing the full weight of Konoha's power?
But Naruto knew if he went that route, the village would plunge into chaos.
Because the truth was, the Uchiha weren't well-liked in Konoha.
Hearts are fickle things.
If the clan hadn't isolated themselves, if they hadn't carried that aura of arrogance, the Third probably wouldn't have dared to push them so far. It was because they stood alone that they were treated like soft persimmons, easy to squeeze.
Naruto muttered drowsily, words tumbling out half like a dream:
"Steal the sky, change the day… civet for the crown prince… maybe that's the way…"
And then he drifted off.
The sapphire pendant at his chest pulsed with light.
"Wish confirmed… executing…"
"Luck consumed… wish fulfilled…"
The glow faded. Silence returned.
When Naruto woke the next morning, he glanced at his bedside out of habit—and froze.
A model sat there.
The moment he picked it up, knowledge flooded his mind.
An unnamed town. A subspace. Habitable. Can serve as a secret base for the Host. Can 'swap' with a location in reality, creating a perfect stand-in.
Naruto blinked. Then slowly, a grin stretched across his face.
Moments later, he burst out laughing, loud enough to make the Anbu outside his door exchange worried glances.
The pendant had given him a town.
Better yet, it was portable. He could carry it with him, summon a gateway, and step in or out anytime.
Naruto wasted no time. He left a clone to handle daily routines and opened the door.
Inside lay an empty town.
Stone streets crisscrossed into neat grids. Shops and houses lined the avenues. Everything looked complete—just missing people.
The roads were paved with smooth blue stone, the air crisp and clean.
Naruto strolled down the main street, arms wide, laughing like he'd just inherited the world.
"So many houses… all mine. The whole town—mine!"
"Tonight I'll sleep here. Tomorrow over there. One house, two houses—hell, a hundred houses! Who else gets this?!"
The joy bubbling in his chest was overwhelming. For once, it didn't matter whether he solved the Uchiha's problems. This alone was enough to make him giddy.
Sure, his apartment in Konoha was decent for a kid. But this? A whole town? It was every orphan's dream come true.
"In the future, no one dares laugh at me! If anyone tries, I'll just smack them with a dozen deeds! 'No mortgage, no rent—still jealous? Too bad!'"
The absurd thought cracked him up again, his laughter echoing through the empty streets.
He wandered further. Beyond the town stretched farmland, forests, and hills.
Twenty miles out, he finally hit an invisible barrier.
"Twenty miles around, huh? Not small at all."
Back inside, he climbed the tallest clock tower and surveyed his domain.
"Feels a little plain though… would be nice if I could change it."
As if answering his thoughts, a light screen appeared in midair, showing a structural map of the town and its surrounding land.
"You mean… I can change it?"
Naruto crouched over the screen, eyes sparkling, and started experimenting.
In an instant, the whole town shifted—buildings warping, streets twisting, mountains rising, rivers splitting. Every wild idea that popped into his head reshaped the landscape.
He messed around for a long while, but finally gave up with a sigh.
"Damn. Guess I don't have any talent for design. Everything I make looks… ugly."
In the end, he restored it to its original layout.
Still, excitement pulsed in his chest.
"This town… it's perfect for the Red Sun Society. And if needed, it can be a refuge for the Uchiha."
"Problem solved. Congratulations to me!"
That night, Naruto met again with Shisui and Itachi, leading them through the gateway into the town.
"This," Naruto declared proudly, "is the future base of the Red Sun Society. I've given both of you access—come and go whenever you want."
"Our work starts here. From this small town, we'll shake the whole ninja world."
His words rang with youthful arrogance, but also conviction.
Shisui and Itachi couldn't help but feel their blood stir. The empty town suddenly looked less like stone and wood—and more like the foundation of something greater.
