Both Maya and Adrian had teamed up against Ariana, unknowingly to her, Maya on the hand had been very occupied she barely had time to chit chat around, Kelly had been trying to get to talk to her but Maya couldn't turn a blind eye to Adrian's warning.
"It's like you are avoiding me" Kelly said as she caught up to Maya in the hallway
"Oh no I'm just busy, I got a part time job, so everything is a bit packed, besides the debate is coming and Adrian and I haven't worked anything out" Maya said with an exhausted sigh
"Well it's like we haven't had time to chit chat ever since that drug scandal..... Did you ever find out who framed you?" Kelly asked feigning concern
"Not really, the school board is on it" Maya said
"Xavier told me he thinks It's Ariana, I wouldn't be surprise, she is really dangerous" Kelly said
"Why do you care, when that drug was found in my locker, you never sided me, you were acting two faced, don't think I didn't notice it" Maya said with a stern look
"I don't know you well, it's possible that you do drugs..... I'm so sorry by the way" Kelly apologies, Maya just looked at her and smiled, wanting to change the topic
"What do you plan on doing about Ariana" Kelly suddenly asked
"She has more power than me, what do you think I can actually do that her money won't fix" Maya said
"So you aren't planning on doing anything?" Kelly asked, a bit confused
"I'm thinking about dropping out, this school is really too much for me, it has always being my dream school tho, but I bet my mum can afford a middle class school of my class" Maya said with a shrug
"That's not possible, you can't just drop out, you are a fierce fighter, why are you giving up" Kelly asked, she was utterly confused, she knew Maya couldn't just leave school
"They are somethings that happened recently, I haven't gotten the opportunity to tell you, but I kinda told my mum, and she doesn't want me in this school again" Maya said
"I'm really sorry about that, letter you have to fill me in on everything" Kelly said putting on a fake smile
"Yes sure, I just wish I could do something tho, but my mum is so paranoid..... I have to get to class" Maya said, closing her locker as she headed to class, leaving Kelly behind
Kelly on the other hand was busy smiling like a lost cause, she was happy but felt strange to know that Maya was just giving up and being less trouble, all she had to do now was just try to get closer to Xavier.

Maya had discreetly met Adrian to have a chit chat about any recent updates
"She um... Deleted it" he said, his eyes never leaving her face
"That's great, I'll just do what I have to..... Thanks" She said
"I.... I just don't understand how my dad got me engaged to a psychotic and a lunatic bitch, where did she even get the nerve to do such" he said
"Well at least if this works, you won't be her fiance" Maya said, for the first time they were actually talking without insulting each other
"Have you spoken with Xavier yet?" Adrian asked
"No, I've been ignoring his calls, I'm just a little busy for....." She shrugged, after a brief pause, neither of them saying anything, then he let out a dry cough, causing her to stare at him
"I've been wanting to talk to you about something" he suddenly said
"What is it?" Maya asked
"It's..... I um..... Well never mind, maybe when all this Ariana stuff is cleared up and not to add much problem" he said, Maya could only nod her head, she was curious to know what he wanted to say, suddenly someone interrupted them with a cough, both of them looked up to see their friend standing, hands crossed staring at them
"I had no idea you both were hanging out" Xavier said, with a dry smile, giving Adrian a pat on the back
"We aren't hanging out, the debate is due and she hasn't done anything" Adrian said
"Not like you were working hard for it" she retorted
"Oh really, and who submitted the last one for trial?" he said
"That's enough, can you two ever talk without a fight?" Xavier chimed in
"Hey um... Maya I've been trying to talk to you, let's um head to class😊" he said
"Sure let's go" she said as they both left not without giving Adrian a stern look.

Xavier and Maya, were walking down the hall, when they saw Kelly, she approached them, with a smile glued to her face, Maya knew Xavier wanted to talk to her at least not while Kelly was here, it made the whole situation awkward, but that didn't stop Xavier.
"Maya I really wanted to apologise for the way I reacted, I knew you didn't steal the bracelet, I don't know who framed you but I'm really sorry" he suddenly said, stopping both Maya and Kelly mid tracks, Maya was surprised he was apologising and even blindly believing she didn't steal it, even when there wasn't a prove, while Kelly was shocked and burned with jealousy fueled by rage, how was Xavier begging for a crime Maya allegedly committed
"No Xavier it's not your fault, that bracelet belongs to your mum, I didn't steal it but you have every right to feel upset" Maya said with a smile as she rubbed his arm, letting him know he shouldn't be bothered
"Thanks... That's why I love you Maya.. Ughh so understanding" he sighed, as he pulled her in a hug and both just laughed, Maya absolutely saw it as nothing, Xavier saw it as a big step and Kelly saw it like a scene that could make her commit suicide.
"You two should go to class, I'll be ditching bio class today, I have a pending issue with the board" Maya said
"Bye Maya" both Kelly and Xavier waved at her and left.
Maya quickly retreated to her favourite lonely corner of the school, she had to make her move, one's she was settled she pulled out her phone and laptop, then she started making an edit with the record on her phone.... As soon as she was done she quickly set her camera, then started making a video of herself, she was crying and saying what Ariana did to her.
With a final editing she joined it with the record. Then she smiled to herself, she had a smug look on her face and a feeling that she had played the game well
'If this people think their money and power will save them from every of their sins, let's see who saves them from the neitizens', the press, the bloggers, the public' Maya muttered to herself, if she was going to leave the school, it'd be a shame without a good fight.
