Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: God's Approval? Not Guilty!

The scene was silent for a long time; everyone was motionless, yet it was not a static picture.

Alex's actions had silenced everyone, leaving them stunned.

What was happening? Someone actually dared to say such words in front of everyone, in front of the Archon.

This was a confession, it had to be. This wasn't just an expression of fondness for Fontaine's superstar... He was incredibly bold, not just ordinarily so.

Those words, spoken as if he had cast aside everything... Sincere! It was sincerity visible to the naked eye.

Half the people admired him, thinking he was truly brave; the other half found it romantic, wondering when they would meet someone who loved them so genuinely.

It wasn't until two 'click, click' sounds broke the long silence in the Opera House that everyone snapped back to reality.

"Ah!!!!!!" Hydro Archon Furina gasped, then stiffly took two steps back, turned, and scurried away... Unaware of the explosive situation, Neuvillette, whose heart remained unperturbed, immediately noticed Furina trying to escape and called out, "Ahem, Lady Furina, where are you going?"

"Ah, that, this... right, right!" Furina turned back, stammering. Her eyes had lost their focus, almost turning into spinning circles. She was completely dizzy. Her face unconsciously turned a delicate pink.

Connection lost... After a good while, Furina reconnected, letting out a tiny whimper only she could hear: "Death. Death... Death... Penalty."

It must be the death penalty. This person really should be erased from the world! Furina's consciousness began to darken, and she silently pulled out a very long knife, usually used for cutting cakes.

On the other side, the long-silent phone task finally showed as completed.

Alex looked at the phone floating in front of him again. He scanned left and right, nodding internally.

Indeed, they couldn't see the phone in front of me at all. Not when I was arrested, not when the trial began, and not now.

Alex extended his right hand again and took the phone.

He lit up the screen; the task icon was pulsating.

Just as Alex tapped the task, the phone suddenly began to vibrate rapidly. Then, with a 'bang,' the phone vanished. At the same time, the spot where it disappeared began to glow with multicolored light.

This sudden burst of light was noticed by everyone in the audience. Ordinary people looking at Alex could only see blinding light. They instinctively looked away or covered their eyes.

Only Neuvillette, Hydro Archon Furina, and those with a Vision could see Alex standing in the center of the light.

The light lasted only a few seconds, then rapidly transformed into a beautiful, pure sky blue. Finally, in the middle of these lights, a deep blue vortex formed, quickly swallowing all the overflowing sky-blue light.

What appeared before everyone's eyes in the end was, incredibly!!!

"A Vision!!!" Suddenly, someone in the audience shouted in disbelief.

It was a Vision, a Vision! The entire venue erupted into an even louder clamor than before.

Even the Chief justice, who had been tapping his cane on the floor and shouting, "Silence, silence," took a long time for his words to take effect and for the crowd to slowly quiet down.

Hydro, a Vision, huh... Alex looked at the blue icon on it, confirming it in his mind.

Vaporize, Electro-Charged, Frozen, Bloom. Quite versatile, not bad at all. And I quite like blue, Alex was very satisfied... It was a universally acknowledged fact in Teyvat.

A Vision is obtained through the gaze of an Archon.

And that person had just received one right after declaring his confession in front of an Archon.

What did these two pieces of information combined equal?

Lady Hydro Archon Furina accepted a confession from an outsider!!!

"Breaking news!!!"

The pink-haired girl in the red hat, who had filmed the entire process, had stars in her eyes.

Later, she absolutely had to find a way to meet this young man named Alex. She had to get an exclusive interview!!!

"No, it wasn't me!!" Furina instantly cried out in a panic, but no one paid her any attention.

Did I grant this? It was clearly Celestia who did it.

This infuriates me, is this person doing this on purpose! Fury seemed to ignite in Furina's eyes. If this weren't a courtroom, she'd really want to teleport over and choke him.

The Heavenly Principles are also accomplices! If she weren't weaker, Furina would want to directly kill her way to Celestia! Everyone must face justice!!!

Furina kept looking at Neuvillette, blinking to signal him. Save me! Save me!

Neuvillette glanced at Furina, then pondered for a moment: "Mr. Alex's will is clear for all to see. And his desire to protect has indeed been recognized by the Archon, thus granting him a Vision."

"Wow!" This was the crowd's reaction after hearing Neuvillette's affirmation, their emotions once again a mix of feelings. Had Fontaine's superstar officially announced something? It was so sudden.

"Waaah!!!" This was Furina's sound of utter collapse.

I'm crying, I'm really crying, Neuvillette!

Resentment dissipates, resentment dissipates.

This situation truly couldn't be denied, otherwise, where would the Archon's dignity be? Everyone's beliefs would collapse.

"But this is unrelated to the current trial; the trial continues," Neuvillette slowly said, "Defendant Mr. Alex, do you have any further objections to this trial?"

"No, I don't..." Well, although Alex really wanted to say something like 'a pound of pressure,' there really wasn't anything left to argue. Even Yanfei would probably come to the same conclusion... "Then," Neuvillette took out the card provided by the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale. He looked at the contents.

"I declare, Mr. Alex..."

Oh, this task is really a trap. It even gave me a megaphone, and that's fine. I mustered the courage to shout it out, and it even gave me a "server-wide announcement."

Alright, alright, so this is how we're playing. I just transmigrated and haven't even enjoyed myself properly, and now I'm going to jail!

Death penalty, death penalty, death penalty! For the first time, Furina desperately hoped that the result from the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale would align with her wishes.

"Not guilty!" Neuvillette delivered the final verdict.

"Huh?" Everyone exclaimed in surprise. This result was somewhat unexpected, yet also within reason.

"Huh?" This left Alex, who was ready to visit Sigewinne, the head nurse of the Meropide Fortress prison, with mixed feelings.

Upon learning he was not guilty, Alex, who had relaxed, suddenly thought that going to prison wouldn't be so bad; life there was quite simple and laid-back!

It was just big and winding, with no sunlight. But there were rare, humanoid Melusine lolis.

"No! This isn't right!" Furina loudly raised an objection. "The Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale must be broken! I request a retrial!"

"Lady Furina, the verdict has been rendered. Do you think this is reasonable?" Neuvillette tapped his cane on the floor.

Ugh... Damn it, why did this thing rule this way! Furina also had no recourse against the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale. After all, its results were invariably the most just.

"Then, I declare this trial concerning Mr. Alex..."

Just as Neuvillette was about to announce the end of the trial and dismiss everyone, Furina spoke again.

Furina might have been desperate; at the very end, a flash of inspiration struck, and her Frozen brain suddenly became active.

"Wait!" Furina shouted in an extremely loud voice.

Neuvillette suddenly experienced another human emotion. He was truly about to lose his temper.

"Lady Furina, are you unaware that interrupting a court's pronouncement is an illegal act? Without a reasonable explanation, I will enforce the laws of Fontaine."

Furina was momentarily stunned by Neuvillette's authority: "I, I still have the final right of judgment! And everyone present overlooked one point in the final process!"

"Oh?" Neuvillette looked at Furina.

The crowd below was also somewhat confused. Had the Hydro Archon discovered something everyone had missed? Everyone speculated in their minds.

The actual trial, aside from the lengthy defendant's statement, and after a moment's thought, only left... The clever ones had already figured it out!

"That's right, that's right!" Furina raised her head, looking at Alex triumphantly, and extended her right hand, pointing with conviction: "He also said one sentence! One that all of us here overlooked!"

"I am..." Furina deliberately paused, partly to create the calm before the storm, a dramatic effect for the highest point of the play.

Secondly, saying it herself felt really strange.

"Focalors's dog!!!"

Hmph, this guy didn't just say 'wife'! He's also my dog!

Oh, right! If I just make him my dog! Then the concept of 'wife' disappears, doesn't it?

Hahaha, I'm so smart!

Furina narrowed her eyes, and an imaginary figure inside her mind happily jumped up and down.
