Chapter 48 - Chapter 48: Preparing to Earn Rough Stones

Furina's face seemed to puff up, and her eyes began to glare fiercely at Alex.

This guy was definitely still laughing at her, wasn't he!

Damn it, I made such a big decision to confide in you.

Alex saw that Furina had started staring at him without speaking, and after a moment's thought, he immediately understood what was going on.

Furina thought he was making fun of her, but he wasn't; he was just doing his part as a straight man in a comedy duo.

"But, doesn't my Baron Bunny have an invincible characteristic, a protective bubble? It can't kill anyone," Alex said.

"Exactly! At that time, a bubble appeared around that person, and he wasn't injured at all," Furina said, feeling even more wronged in her heart: "I didn't expect that person to come out of the bubble and start cursing at me. He even said he wasn't good with water and almost got sent away by that bubble."

"How novel ~" Alex spread his hands.

"The main thing is, even if he cursed, I was indeed at fault first... I didn't expect him to actually make a move. If it weren't for your Baron Bunny blocking the attack, the consequences would have been unimaginable," Furina said, feeling scared.

"Who says it isn't so... This person actually dared to make a move against you, a God of Fontaine? Does he not want to live?" Alex was truly surprised; this person was too bold. In Fontaine, did he not recognize the Hydro Archon of Fontaine?

Hearing Alex say that, Furina suddenly realized that she was a God; she almost exposed that she was afraid of a human.

Furina quickly put her hands on her hips, looking proud: "Exactly, exactly! Originally, this God had already forgiven his disrespectful actions. I didn't expect him to actually try to attack a God! If it weren't for your Baron Bunny stopping him, he would have been thrown into prison! The consequences would have been unimaginable."

"Isn't that right!" Alex nodded, then asked: "And then what?"

"There's no 'then what,' I just came to find you!" Furina hastily ended the topic, after all, she had ridden the Baron Bunny and fled in a hurry after that. How could she say that?

Alex summoned the Baron Bunny, got on the vehicle, and said resentfully: "Where is he? Tell me, I'll go avenge you!"

"Oh, no! No need!" Furina quickly pulled Alex, not wanting him to dwell on the matter.

"Let's go back and have a meal, I just got back and I'm a bit hungry," Furina said.

"Then Furina, don't take this to heart. You can still drive with confidence in the future. Anyway, people hit by the Baron Bunny won't die... You're the Hydro Archon of Fontaine! If you hit anyone, no one will say anything."

Furina weakly said: "Isn't that bad...?"

Alex looked at Furina, realizing she truly was a good God. Even when hitting someone without causing any injury, she would feel bad about it.

Furina thought about it and still refused to drive herself. Driving herself was really nerve-wracking, and she didn't have the courage to drive that fast: "It's better if you take me!"

Alright, it seems Furina doesn't want to be a female biker right now.

If Furina doesn't hit, then I will!

How cool is this. There's absolutely no risk involved; you can drive with your eyes closed.

After having afternoon tea with Furina, Alex asked her if she wanted to go on a commission with him.

Furina, however, shook her head, stating that she wanted to go home to rest and told him to go by himself.

"Alright, then I'll see you next time. I estimate I'll be running until evening, and then I'll go home to rest too," Alex nodded, telling Furina his schedule.

"Okay!" Furina said, walking towards Palais Mermonia.

Seeing Furina walk away, Alex immediately teleported, choosing a Waypoint close to the commission's target location.

Arriving next to the Waypoint, Alex thought. He had just said goodbye to Furina, so how would they contact each other if something came up?

Furina was only a secondary user of the phone. She wasn't using a second phone. So, contacting each other would be very troublesome.

"I think I should give Furina a phone clone, what do you think?" Alex said to his phone, hoping for a buzzing sound.

He waited for a long time but didn't see anything unlock. In the end, was he just overthinking it? Perhaps he could only have this one phone.

"Towards the star..." "Thank you..."

"Towards..." "Thank..."

It wasn't until Alex had been doing commissions until past ten at night that Katheryne, still standing at the Adventurers' Guild counter, saw Alex about to ask for four more commissions and finally changed her lines: "I'm sorry, I no longer have any Subjugation commissions for you to accept."

"You can choose to accept other types of commission quests, there are many with very generous Rewards too ~" Katheryne brought out other quests.

"Huh?" Alex was confused; he hadn't thought about this before, only focusing on accepting and completing tasks.

He hadn't expected it, but after coming here, while being able to continuously accept commissions was good, the quantity really wasn't much.

"Are there any simpler tasks?" Alex asked.

Katheryne said: "There are commission quests for searching, commission quests for crafting..."

"Alright, I'm an Adventurer who specializes in Subjugation quests. If there are new monsters, remember to contact me." Alex listened to Katheryne mention many tasks that sounded troublesome and felt a headache coming on.

Subjugation quests only give Mora. These other quests are troublesome and don't give Primogems, so I'm too lazy to do them.

You can just wait for the kind-hearted blonde to help you later.

So Alex went home to sleep.

The next day, Alex looked at the strawberries and lemons, which were halfway grown.

Alex began to prepare to earn Primogems.

First, he went to the street and bought many kinds of tea leaves. Then he ordered some disposable cups.

That's right, Alex's idea was to sell fruit tea himself.

After all, gacha pulls give both Spirit Fields and fruit. Not using them would be a waste.

Fruit tea that only accepts Primogems and not Mora will definitely have super high sales!

Even if a child just picks up these shiny stones, they can drink several cups. They make a huge profit, and I make even more!

Moreover, Alex wouldn't spend too long doing this. He would just grab a wave of Primogems from everyone in Fontaine and then leave.

If he kept doing this, he wouldn't have the leisure.

Unless it became a huge hit and everyone wanted to drink it, maybe he would consider hiring someone to help.

But how could that be... "Hmm, I can also buy some sugar cubes... And then, I'll need some ice cubes." Alex ran back and forth on the street, purchasing items.

"What else do I need?" Alex pondered.

As for the water source for the fruit tea, he had a Hydro Vision, after all. The water spat out by his summoned creatures should be fine, right? This could truly be considered pure water!

Alex wasn't too sure, so he decided to go ask Furina...
