Chapter 49 - Chapter 49: Show off! You can eat Teyvat’s fruits!

"Uhm…" Furina looked at Alex, who had summoned a miniature Furina continuously spouting a water jet from her mouth, and replied with some uncertainty, "It should work, but I think it's best if we ask Neuvillette about this. He has a very good understanding of water."

Alex took a cup, filled it himself, looked at it, but still didn't dare to drink it.

The summoned creature's duration expired, and Alex didn't summon it again. "Alright, let's go find Neuvillette!"

Furina followed Alex, and it wasn't long before they arrived at Neuvillette's office.

They were quite lucky; Neuvillette was currently working in his office.

After waiting a moment longer, Neuvillette looked at the cup he had just placed on his desk. "Water for me?"

"Stare~~~" Neuvillette finished speaking and silently stared at the water cup.

Alex and Furina, however, were staring at Neuvillette.

Neuvillette began to move, slowly reaching his hand towards the cup.

Alex was hoping that Hydro element water could be drunk. That way, there would be no need to worry about water sources, and it would be very convenient.

Furina, on the other hand, had a hint of doubt and a bit of a smirk. She had seen how this water was made from start to finish. If Neuvillette drank it, wouldn't that mean he was drinking her saliva?

The next moment, Furina saw Neuvillette already bringing the cup to his lips.

Furina couldn't help but give Alex a light, playful punch.

Of all the people to turn your summoned creature into, why me?

"Hmm…" Neuvillette pondered for a moment before giving his answer. "Is this water generated from the Hydro element?"

Furina still couldn't help but exclaim in admiration, "Wow! Neuvillette, you're still as amazing as ever; you can taste what kind of water it is!"

Neuvillette slowly asked, "So, what do you mean by giving me a cup to drink?"

"We just have a question we'd like to ask, Neuvillette," Alex scratched his cheek, looking a bit embarrassed.

Neuvillette said, "Go ahead, I will tell you everything I know."

"Can I use water from the Hydro element to make fruit tea for everyone in Teyvat to drink? Will there be any problems if they drink too much?" Alex asked, "After all, I know that continuously drinking pure water can cause problems for the human body; the spring water and other water we drink all contain minerals."

"Oh? So you're making fruit tea? I want some too, you must let me try it," Furina narrowed her eyes.

Neuvillette replied, "I understand what you mean. Water generated from the Hydro element also comes from within the world. While long-term consumption of water generated from the Hydro element can indeed be bad for the human body, as long as the missing nutrients can be supplemented, there will be no problem."

"Great! Then there's no problem, after all, who would drink this kind of fruit tea like water every day?" Alex relaxed. Besides, he wasn't a machine, and his production capacity was very limited; occasionally giving it to them to drink would certainly be fine.

So, Alex clasped his hands in farewell and left the office, with Furina following closely behind.

"I want to drink it, I want to drink fruit tea! Is it ready yet?" Furina kept saying this all the way, urging Alex to make it for her to try now.

"The fruit isn't ready yet!" Alex shook his head.

"What? Not ready yet?! Look, aren't there vendors selling Bubble Oranges and Plump Peaches right ahead? How can there be none?" Furina pointed to a distant fruit and vegetable stall.

"Now that you mention it…" Alex was a bit apologetic, as he only just remembered that he hadn't yet tasted the specialty fruits from allogene.

This was a good opportunity… The stall owner was shouting, "Want to see some fresh fruits and vegetables?"

"Boss, I'll take two of each fruit," Alex grabbed them directly and put them together.

The boss smiled and helped Alex reach for fruits he couldn't reach, saying, "Alright, please feel free to choose. I, Eugenie, would never do dishonest business. I guarantee all my fruits are plump and juicy."

"Come again when you have time; I will have the sweetest fruits ready for you," Eugenie, the stall owner, waved goodbye at the end.

Having bought some fruits for tasting, Alex decided to take Furina back to his home next.

He wanted to show Furina the two kinds of fruits that Teyvat didn't have yet, even though they weren't ripe yet.

But speaking of which, everyone still really liked the big star, Furina.

On the way, Alex couldn't help but exclaim, "With Furina accompanying me to buy things, the fruit and vegetable stall owner even secretly gave me many extra kinds of fruit in the end."

"Hmph, of course. I'm a very well-liked big star!" Furina said proudly.

Alex used his Combat Skill to have the mini Furina spray water a few times onto the Plump Peach in his hand. After cleaning it, he looked at the still-proud Furina and said, "Want some?"

"Alright, then I'll accept your kind offer," Furina took the Plump Peach and started eating it.

As expected of a fruit from Sumeru, it was truly delicious and sweet.

"But I didn't expect Valberry to sell for so much," Alex took out the Mondstadt specialty, Valberry.

"Of course, you don't even consider how far away Mondstadt is from here!" Furina said, taking the freshly cleaned Valberry from Alex's hand and devouring it.

I haven't even tasted one yet… Alex was speechless and took out another Valberry.

Unexpectedly, Furina suddenly picked up the summoned creature, which had turned into a mini Furina, and directed it towards the Valberry in Alex's hand, offering to help clean his Valberry.

"Pfft~" The mini Furina spouted a small jet of water, completely turning into a mobile faucet.

"Haha, your summoned creature is so much fun," Furina said happily.

Alex looked at Furina, who was playing with his summoned creature again, but said nothing. He opened his mouth and popped the Valberry in, eating it. "Mmm, it's sweet and sour, really delicious."

Alex finished one and saw Furina still playing. He suddenly thought of something even more interesting. "How about a tiny Neuvillette?"

Furina stopped her actions, then looked at Alex's face slowly breaking into a smile, her eyes seemingly sparkling. "Of course!"

The mini Furina instantly transformed into a mini Neuvillette.

And so, Furina was even happier than when she held a mini version of herself.

Especially when she saw the water jet sprayed by the tiny Neuvillette, which was less than half a palm long before falling due to gravity, looking as if it had withered.

The appearance of his summoned creature at that moment made Furina, who had once seen Neuvillette spray an incredibly long and large water jet, even more amused.

Soon after, not far from Fontaine, Alex brought Furina to his home.

"That's it, you can see for yourself," Alex pointed to an empty plot of land on the other side. There was a patch of only ten meters in area, with just five lemon trees, and low-lying green foliage covering the entire ten-meter expanse.

Hmm, he hadn't paid much attention before, but now he realized that each gacha pull gave him one seed, and one seed could only cultivate a ten-meter area.

But it didn't matter; it would only be a little less at first, as plants could still produce seeds, and seeds would then grow into plants.

Sons and grandsons, endless. That truly was sustainable development.
