Chapter 5 - Ch 5. The Trident and the First Gate

After Poseidon fell into his deep slumber, the world grew silent.

The sea still rippled with waves, carrying life, but the temple itself was wrapped in a vast stillness without its master.

PoseiBot and Moro spent long days exploring the vast temple, slowly finding their places within its endless halls.

They wandered through corridors that stretched beyond sight, mosaicked chambers that shimmered with light, sanctuaries, and treasure vaults. Bit by bit, they grew accustomed to the place, yet countless hidden rooms still denied their steps.

It felt as if the temple itself was alive, guarding secrets deep within its walls.

The Temple of Poseidon rested deep beneath the sea. Yet, a colossal veil of water encased it, shielding the temple from the ocean outside. Inside, currents of air flowed like on land, leaving no trace of seawater.

Protected from intrusion, it stood as a sacred sanctuary. Beyond its walls, pods of orcas and colossal sea turtles patrolled, while the Sentinels of the Current soared between the sea and the temple, defending the temple's sanctity.

PoseiBot had claimed the temple's heart: the Dimensional Core Room.

Veins of radiant light pulsed along the walls like the heartbeat of the sea, and at its center, a massive sphere throbbed in sync with the Aqua Crystals.

This was no mere control chamber. It was a fusion of divine relics and futuristic technology, a brain that decoded coordinates to open gates and assigned missions to restore balance to the seas.

From PoseiBot's sapphire eyes flowed streams of data, connecting with the sphere. Soon a vast holographic map unfolded above them, and crimson points began to flare into view—each marking the scattered locations of the Crystal Orbs.

One point glowed brighter, accompanied by a message:

"The first destination… a land where the bloodline of our master remains."

Moro cocked his head, puzzled.

"Bloodline? You mean… Poseidon's family?"

PoseiBot said nothing, but his gaze confirmed it. From that clue, he began sifting through knowledge, preparing for their first journey.

On another wing of the temple lay Moro's Room.

It was a den of a true adventurer, decorated with dusty bookshelves and tattered maps. Desks and shelves overflowed with gear and strange trinkets.

Moro, clad in a small leather jacket and goggles perched on his head, tapped his pouch as he moved across the room. Pulling a weathered tome from the shelf, he triggered a hidden mechanism. The bookcase groaned and slid aside, revealing a concealed doorway.

Behind it stood a reinforced wall with a rotating lock. Moro pressed his small frame into the scanner, and the security system recognized him. The heavy door yielded at last.

Inside stretched a secret chamber lined with rows of glowing Crystal Orbs, each shining in different colors.

This was the vault of gateways—the arsenal that would help them survive perilous trials and discover new paths yet unseen.

The tridents were Poseidon's incarnate power, relics of divine authority.

Deep within the temple's grand hall stood the Trident Vault, lined with towering columns beneath a vaulted ceiling. Rows of golden tridents gleamed, each one bound by ancient seals.

Every trident held the ability to summon the Gate's frame, and only Poseidon himself had been able to wield them. But now, with their master asleep, PoseiBot stepped forward as his successor.

Surrounded by the grandeur of countless weapons, PoseiBot reached for the smallest, lightest trident.

At once, faint sigils on the wall shimmered, and an echo drifted through the air.

Poseidon's voice, like a whispering tide:

"Protect my daughter… She and the Orb are the keys to balance."

PoseiBot's eyes flickered with hesitation, then blazed with renewed resolve.

PoseiBot and Moro returned to the Core Room to review the data.

The balance of the seas had been shattered, and only through this journey could it be restored.

PoseiBot carried the small trident; Moro slipped several Crystal Orbs into his pouch. Together, they bowed briefly before the sleeping god. They offered farewells to the dolphins and turtles, and to the Sentinels that circled between the sea and the temple.

The corridors of the temple fell silent once more. Yet within that silence lay their unspoken vow. PoseiBot lifted his gaze to the towering ceiling, still resonant with Poseidon's lingering aura. Its weight pressed upon him, but it also sharpened his purpose. Moro's tail flicked, betraying both nerves and excitement. Deep down, he knew this was more than a mission—it was a test of their very existence.

At that moment, neither wavered. With their master's legacy in their hearts, they readied themselves to take the first step toward destiny.

The moment of departure had come. The temple seemed to hold its breath, every echo heavy with tension. History and divine will converged in this instant, demanding courage.

PoseiBot tightened his grip on the trident, then drove it firmly into the circular socket of the floor. A thunderous tremor surged upward from the depths, rattling the temple's foundation. Blue light erupted, racing outward in radiant veins, before exploding into a massive ring of power. From the crackling ground rose a colossal gate of azure light, roaring as waves of water surged across its threshold.

Moro darted forward, slipping a Crystal Orb into the slot of the gate's pillar. The orb pulsed, and the pillars awakened with a resonant hum, exhaling streams of light. Finally, a beam lanced from PoseiBot's eyes, engraving coordinates upon the liquid surface of the gate. The glowing lines intertwined like constellations, fixing the portal in place.

Trident + Orb + Coordinates.

With the triple lock complete, the temple resounded like a war drum, its walls quaking with power. A vast whirlpool wrapped the gate as the very boundary of dimensions split open. Then, from within the blinding brilliance, the Gate of Tides emerged in full. Beyond its shimmering threshold, glimpses of an unknown yet wondrous world appeared and vanished, beckoning them onward.

PoseiBot gazed into the swirling light and declared:

"The first destination… there await our master's daughter, and the Emerald Orb."

Moro grinned, tugging down his goggles.

"Well then, this mission's already shaping up to be a real adventure."

Side by side, the two stepped forward into the Gate of Tides.

And so, the first chapter of a new legend began.
