Chapter 79 - Reminiscing, Recalling the Past

The banquet ended with everyone raising their glasses in celebration.

The next morning, Anna had just woken up when she received a phone call. She glanced at the unfamiliar number, hesitating for a moment before answering.

On the other end came a familiar voice, gentle and soft. "Anna, it's Rainie. I got your number from Harry. Can we meet?"

"Sure, when and where?" Anna asked.

"The tea restaurant on Henghu Road, at 11 a.m.," Rainie said before hanging up.

Anna stared at the disconnected call, a flicker of confusion in her eyes.

Something about Rainie's tone made her feel like there was more to the call than Rainie was letting on.

At exactly 11 a.m., Anna arrived at the tea restaurant Rainie had mentioned.

The hostess asked for her name and then led her to a private room.

Inside, Rainie was already seated.

She looked low-profile today, dressed in a long black top and tight pants, with a baseball cap pulled low over her head.
