At the old Luke family residence, after everything that had happened the night before, Tina decided to make some soup herself.
The servants watched her carefully slicing, stirring, and tasting, their eyes filled with admiration. "The young mistress is so thoughtful," one whispered. "She's making soup just for Mr. Luke."
Just as Tina finished, Shawn suddenly appeared at the kitchen doorway.
His dark eyes locked on her for a long moment before he finally said, "I'm feeling a bit cold. Can you go upstairs and get me a jacket?"
Tina blinked in surprise.
With the servants around, she didn't want to cause a scene. She forced a gentle smile. "Shawn, Mommy's busy right now. Let your Nanny get it for you, okay?"
His nanny immediately stepped forward. "Young master, I'll fetch it for you."
But Shawn stood his ground, his little face full of stubbornness. "I want you to get it. You're my mom. Can't you even get your son a jacket?"
