Tina returned home a mess, heart still trembling from Harry's dark expression.
She couldn't shake the feeling he might actually hurt her. Before she could collect her thoughts, her phone buzzed, Ruby.
"Tina, I need to tell you something. Anna seemed...off today," Ruby whispered.
Tina tensed. "What do you mean, 'off'?"
"Just now, Anna came back from Mr. Luke's office looking like she'd had the...'just-been-loved' face," Ruby said, voice small.
Tina's knees nearly went weak. "'just-been-loved' face?"
"Yeah. Even her lips looked swollen. I don't know what happened, so I thought you should know."
Rage flared so hot she could hardly breathe. If Anna had been with Harry while his medication took effect...
Tina's head spun and she nearly collapsed. She steadied herself and asked, "When did Anna go up there?"
"About forty minutes ago. She stayed maybe half an hour," Ruby answered.
That timing fit perfectly with when Harry must have been affected.
