Mrs. Luke finally let out a laugh, though it was more out of frustration than amusement.
She glared at the person before her and said sharply, "Neil, you're the heir to the Walker family! You've had a top-notch education since you were a child. How could you fall for a woman like her?"
Hearing Mrs. Luke's disparaging remarks about Anna, a flash of anger crossed Neil's face, but he quickly regained his composure.
"Aunt, this is my choice. Anna is a good woman."
"A good woman?" Mrs. Luke's voice rose, dripping with sarcasm as she stared at him coldly. "Six years ago, she got pregnant out of wedlock with some random man and had two illegitimate children. What do you see in a woman who doesn't even respect herself?"
Her venomous words were like daggers aimed at Anna.
Before Neil could respond, Kyle, who was in his arms, spoke up firmly, "My mom is not a bad woman."
