"Sustainable development."
"One-and-done deal."
"Dust, which do you think is more suitable?" Persephone left the choice to Alistair.
As a subordinate god, she could offer suggestions, but the final decision was never hers to make.
Even if the divine master didn't mind, Persephone had to tread carefully. After all, Zeus was a prime example.
Irritable, wrathful, lustful, vigilant, suspicious...
That was Zeus' character.
He was undeniably powerful, but his flaws were numerous.
Metis. Prometheus. Those two gods of wisdom who aided Zeus—weren't they the perfect cautionary tales?
"Which is more suitable?" Alistair mused for a moment. "Tell me about the benefits of each."
"The power of faith and world power are sustainable in the first approach," Persephone explained. "Additionally, as a world grows, the divine artifacts it produces become a continuous source of income. The second method, however, only yields faith and world power with no further benefits."
Alistair nodded. "So, the one-and-done deal brings lower returns."
"But it requires far less effort. Managing and planning a world is, in itself, quite troublesome."
"Let's go with the first plan for now."
Alistair and Persephone discussed, ultimately settling on the first approach: sustainable development.
"Good," Persephone said with a smile, nodding. "Next, we can start considering how to plan and develop these worlds."
"Dust, is there a time limit for using the Dimensional Star Chart?"
"Yes," Alistair replied. "Three months. If the portal remains open, there's no issue. But if it's closed, it takes three months to reopen."
He explained the star chart's mechanics. The Dimensional Star Chart required a three-month cooldown and could only maintain one portal at a time, incapable of multi-threading for now.
Of course, Alistair suspected this was tied to his divine power. He was still too weak. Multi-threading or higher capacities would likely cause issues.
In the future, as he grew stronger and his divine power increased, it would become much simpler.
"In that case..." Persephone gazed at the star chart, deep in thought.
Ker was also pondering.
As for Pandora, she was struggling to think. Alistair's advances were growing fiercer, his assault overwhelming.
"World power. Faith power. These are the fundamental benefits of a world," Persephone continued. "Additionally, each world can serve as a training ground for Specters, selecting geniuses to nurture the Demon Stars."
"That's worth noting."
Persephone was planning their next steps.
Ker spoke softly, "Lord of the Underworld, do you think we could cultivate the world's Children of Destiny as Specters?"
"Children of Destiny?" Persephone glanced at Alistair and Pandora's position, then shook her head. "They're not suitable. We could, however, select Daughters of Destiny to train as Specters."
"I understand," Ker said, catching her meaning after a moment's pause.
"For now, let's settle on this approach," Persephone concluded, outlining a brief plan.
It wasn't that she lacked deeper ideas.
Rather, at this stage, more detailed planning was premature. The priority was confirming their ability to traverse these worlds. Only then could they refine their strategy.
"Besides, we're severely short on manpower!" Persephone sighed. Managing and developing worlds required significant resources.
It wasn't something that could be explained in a few words.
Moreover, Persephone's plan wasn't about laissez-faire governance. Under these conditions, careful consideration was essential, and they needed far more hands.
"How's the planning going?" Alistair asked, releasing the defeated Pandora, who lay exhausted on the sofa, battered and weary.
He turned his attention to Persephone and Ker.
Persephone nodded. "Dust, I've drafted a preliminary plan focusing on Daughters of Destiny, world power, faith power, and initial development. But it all depends on actually traversing the myriad worlds to confirm."
Alistair nodded in agreement. "Indeed. We need to assess the specifics further. Otherwise, we'll run into all sorts of issues."
"So," he mused, "Persephone, in your opinion, which world should we start with?"
"The world codenamed Akame ga Kill," Persephone replied without hesitation.
Alistair slowly zoomed in on the coordinates of the Akame ga Kill world, saying with interest, "This is your first choice?"
"I thought you'd pick the simplest world."
"Hmm~~~" Persephone shook her head. "Dust, that world is too simple. No mystery, no advanced technology—almost meaningless. We can send someone to handle it later without wasting time."
