Marcus wasn't just looking at him. Marcus was reading him. The same way Levi had been reading the news about Noah.
'When, Marcus?' The thought formed in Levi's mind. When are you going to ask me for what you really want?
Because this studio, the team, the support. It wasn't charity. Marcus had spent four years in retirement. He didn't come back just because Levi had a pretty voice. Or because Levi saved him. He came back because …. Because Levi surviving Noah meant maybe, possibly, Marcus's own Type B alpha son might have a chance.
