Chapter 10 - Erasure

Is it over...?

Son Gohan exhaled softly, the intense exertion leaving him somewhat tired. Stamina had always been his biggest weakness when fighting the Androids.

Often, he could hold his own in a one-on-one fight, but his stamina issues usually led to the Androids turning the tables on him.

Therefore, even with his newfound power, Son Gohan didn't plan to challenge the Androids just yet. He would either wait for Trunks to gain the ability to hold one back, or he would become strong enough to easily crush them. Otherwise, completely eliminating the Androids would be quite difficult.

Thinking of what Ling An had said about Cell's numerous gene fusions, and the possibility of his revival if not completely erased, Son Gohan conducted a thorough inspection. Only when he was absolutely certain that there wasn't a trace of Cell did he leave to meet up with Ling An.

However, after Son Gohan departed, a blob of green, dough-like material stirred to life not far from the explosion's epicenter. Slowly, it reformed into Cell's likeness, though much smaller than the original adult-sized Cell.

"Damn you, Son Gohan..."

Cell's eyes flashed with resentment. "Fortunately, I have Piccolo's genes, which protected my core cells at the crucial moment, preventing Son Gohan from truly killing me!"

"But..." Although it hadn't been killed by Son Gohan, the resurrection had consumed a large amount of its stamina and power, leaving it only able to grow this large. To Cell, this was a disgrace. Looking at its hand, Cell's eyes flashed with a strange light: "However, thanks to Son Gohan, I've realized that the Saiyan genes have this function. My strength has increased significantly. When my stamina recovers, I will definitely reach the level of Android 18..."

"Heh heh, when the time comes, I'll absorb some humans and gain power surpassing Android 17 and Android 18. Then... becoming Perfect Cell, I can easily deal with Son Gohan... Son Gohan, just you wait. The humiliation you've brought me today, I will return it in full one day!"

Thinking of this, Cell couldn't help but laugh out loud. However, just as it was feeling smug, a Kamehameha suddenly flew toward its head. Caught off guard, Cell's entire body was contorted by the Kamehameha.

"How is this possible... Son Gohan, why are you still here!"

Son Gohan, it was actually Son Gohan!

Resisting the terrifying destructive power of the Kamehameha, feeling the pain of its body being eroded by the Kamehameha, Cell roared, also feeling disbelief, because at this moment, Son Gohan appeared not far away from it, and it was obvious that the Kamehameha had been fired by Son Gohan.

"Hmph hmph, Cell, you really faked your death. Luckily, Ling An reminded me, otherwise I would have let you escape. Cell, you should obediently go report to Other World!" With that, Son Gohan gathered another Kamehameha in his hand and threw it toward Cell's location!

With a loud bang, Cell's body was twisted by the terrifying power of the Kamehameha, and finally, it was completely annihilated because it couldn't resist the terrible power of the Kamehameha...

"Sooooon! Goooohaaaan!!!"

"Cell is really cunning. Now, we've finally taken care of it."

Ling An suddenly appeared beside Son Gohan. Looking at the chaotic scene ahead, she gently exhaled. Having watched the original story, she knew Cell very well and understood that to defeat Cell, it had to be completely annihilated; otherwise, it could potentially resurrect.

Therefore, she reminded Son Gohan from the start to pay attention to Cell. As Ling An had predicted, Cell did indeed revive. However, with her control, Cell was ultimately annihilated by Son Gohan, making any resurrection impossible.

"Fortunately, we eliminated Cell while its power was still average. If it had absorbed the Androids, it would have had the power to suppress Son Gohan's Super Saiyan 2. If it weren't for Son Goku's help, the main storyline might not have been able to defeat Cell." Ling An thought to herself.

Gohan nodded in agreement; he was also frightened by Cell's ability to revive. He had indeed searched carefully just now and found nothing. If he hadn't pretended to leave, he wouldn't have been able to trick Cell.

"Ling An, let's leave here first. Let's collect Bulma's materials, and also, such intense fighting here might attract the Androids. In my current state, dealing with the two Androids is still very dangerous."

Maintaining the Super Saiyan state was somewhat taxing for Son Gohan, who hadn't received Son Goku's deeper training. He could easily enter this state, but he couldn't maintain it easily. In other words, he could only use the Super Saiyan form during battle, unlike in the main timeline, where Son Goku trained Son Gohan to unlock his potential, allowing him to maintain Super Saiyan even while eating and sleeping.

It could be said that before the Cell Games in the main timeline, Son Goku and Son Gohan could already maintain their Super Saiyan forms at will.

Ling An nodded upon hearing this, and then followed Son Gohan to a nearby volcano to collect the Energy Crystals needed to operate the Gravity Chamber.

Their auras could protect them from the high temperatures of the volcano for a short time. That was all they could do, as this was the future timeline ravaged by the Androids. Bulma had neither the time nor the resources to make them protective suits.

With their combined strength, they could easily destroy this volcano, even the Earth itself, but they couldn't avoid the effects of the volcano's heat, nor could they survive the terrifying power of a planet exploding.

They took turns, one going down while the other rested. In this manner, they collected enough Energy Crystals in just a few hours.

Then, they hurried back to Bulma's house.

"Aunt Bulma, these are the Energy Crystals you asked for. We've collected them. Please take a look to see if they're suitable."

Son Gohan threw a storage capsule onto the ground, and a multitude of Energy Crystals spilled out. Bulma picked one up to examine it. After a while, she touched and inspected the Energy Crystals on the ground. After a period of this, she said with a smile, "These Energy Crystals are quite good. With these, the Gravity Chamber can run for at least a month. I'll put them in the energy storage later. Gohan and Trunks, you can use the Gravity Chamber for training from now on."

"Thank you, Aunt Bulma," Son Gohan said, a happy smile on his face. The three hours he'd spent in the Gravity Chamber had already shown him that it was the best way for them to get stronger, especially without his father or Piccolo to train them.

The thought of becoming stronger through the Gravity Chamber and finally defeating the Androids made his smile even brighter.

"Alright, you two go eat first. I'll handle things here. I, Bulma, am full of energy these days!"

Shaking her shoulders, Bulma picked up the Energy Crystals from the ground and walked towards the Gravity Chamber. Son Gohan and Ling An exchanged a look and smiled, then went into Bulma's house. Seeing them, Trunks immediately came over.

The three of them then began to eat. Bulma was a good cook, and with the ingredients Son Gohan and Ling An had gathered earlier, the meal was quite plentiful. Even Ling An, who didn't eat much, ate a lot.

Ling An actually really liked this kind of hot food. As the saying goes, you only know how precious something is when you lose it. After transmigrating to the Dragon Ball world, to avoid being discovered by the Androids, she'd even prepared pre-made food. She avoided using fire whenever possible, being extremely cautious.

Even the most delicious dried rations get boring after a while. Later, Ling An even ate only one meal a day, just to meet her basic needs. Since she didn't need to train to gain combat power, she wasn't very enthusiastic about eating dried rations or canned food, which caused her appetite to get smaller and smaller, and she grew to like hot meals even more.

"So, putting everything else aside, even just to keep eating such a hot meal, the evil Androids must die!"

Bulma worked quickly. She had already replaced the older, possibly non-functional parts of the Gravity Chamber with new materials. All that was left was to inject energy, so it didn't take long before she gave it a tap, signaling it was ready to go.

Son Gohan and Trunks, upon hearing the news, quickly devoured their food. Then, without a moment's hesitation, they ran to the Gravity Chamber to train.

"These two kids are really in a hurry, aren't they?"

Seeing their actions, Bulma shook her head helplessly, but she didn't stop them. Although she didn't entirely approve of her son Trunks fighting the terrifying and evil Androids, she understood. She was well aware that, on Earth, Son Gohan and Trunks were the only ones who could stand against them.

So, despite her reluctance and attachment, Bulma ultimately chose to let them go. This was, of course, because there was now a hope of defeating the Androids. Otherwise, Bulma wouldn't have been so willing to let them go.

Ling An, watching the Gravity Chamber begin to glow, first drank a large bottle of water, letting out a comfortable sigh. Then, she said to Bulma, "Aunt Bulma, Gohan and the others are racing against time for the sake of Earth and humanity's future. With their current enthusiasm, I believe they will be able to defeat the Androids soon. Then, Earth will be peaceful again."

"Let's hope so," Bulma said with a slight smile, a hint of hope in her eyes.
