Chapter 11 - An Awkward Question

The Gravity Chamber was repaired by Bulma. Trunks and Son Gohan dove into it, training constantly, only stopping to eat, drink, relieve themselves, and sleep.

This kind of training was a significant burden on their bodies, but extraordinary times called for extraordinary measures. To completely defeat the Androids, this training was necessary. Furthermore, with Ling An present, any injuries could be healed. Under these circumstances, both of them trained even harder.

Bulma watched, her heart aching, but she ultimately didn't interfere. Time flew by; another half a month passed quickly. During this period, the Androids attacked twice, destroying two cities. Son Gohan didn't intervene either time.

In truth, his intervention wouldn't have made much difference, especially when his strength was lacking. Each time, the Androids either destroyed the city before he could arrive or defeated him and then destroyed the city. His interventions only bought the ordinary citizens some time to escape, nothing more. He couldn't change the reality that the Androids would destroy the city.

Therefore, facing the Androids' attacks, Son Gohan poured all his rage into his training. As he trained day after day, Son Gohan and Trunks' combat power steadily increased.

Son Gohan didn't fully inherit Son Goku and Piccolo's martial arts, but after years of fighting and training, he had found a training method that suited him. Previously, he couldn't improve his strength because he was constantly dealing with the Androids and had little time to train. Moreover, he lacked external assistance for his training. But with the Gravity Chamber, things were different, especially with Trunks training alongside him. His progress was now visible.

Now, he couldn't say he could easily defeat both Androids together, but in a one-on-one fight, he could definitely kill one of them with ease, even the more powerful Android 17. Moreover, this was his combat power with only one arm. If he could recover his missing arm, he could handle both Androids together!

Therefore, with this level of combat power, Son Gohan slowed down his own training and instead focused on helping Trunks improve his strength. It wasn't realistic to make Trunks strong enough to fight the Androids in such a short time using the Gravity Chamber, but as long as Trunks could hold one of the Androids, Son Gohan could take advantage of that time to kill the other one!

So, with this kind of combat power, Gohan slowed down his training and instead helped Trunks improve his strength. Relying on the gravity chamber to make Trunks capable of rivaling the Androids in such a short time wasn't realistic. However, as long as Trunks could hold off one of the Androids, Gohan would have a way to kill the other one during that time!

This was the goal set from the beginning: to hold off, not to fight head-on. In other words, as long as Trunks could survive the Android's attacks, that would be enough.

Perhaps due to their confidence in their own strength, the Androids usually wouldn't attack together. One would fight while the other watched. The main reason Gohan was attacked by both Androids last time was because he had already threatened their safety, so they joined forces to eliminate the threat.

Therefore, the plan to split and defeat them had a high probability of success.

Gohan treated Trunks with the attitude of a strict teacher. Although Trunks from the future wasn't old, his mind was already mature. He also knew this was to deal with the Androids, so no matter how difficult it was, he gritted his teeth and endured it.

Watching the two of them working so hard, even Ling An was touched.

"Gohan and Trunks are really working hard. If it weren't for Ling An-chan's healing ability, I wouldn't dare to let them work so hard."

Bulma placed a glass of juice in front of Ling An. Looking at the gravity chamber, which was still glowing red, she sat down beside her and sighed helplessly, "I hope their efforts won't be in vain."

"Absolutely not, Aunt Bulma, you can rest assured. Gohan and Trunks are descendants of the Saiyans, they have unparalleled potential, and this is just the beginning." No one knew better than her what a Saiyan was. As she said, even Gohan, who now possessed the power to rival the Androids, had only just begun his journey on the path of the Super Saiyan.

After all, he hadn't even reached the second stage of Super Saiyan 1, not to mention Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 3, and Super Saiyan God!

I wonder, in this world, if the Saiyans become Super Saiyan 4 or Super Saiyan God? Theoretically, both should be possible, because it's impossible to reach the limit at three, and there's only one path to take... Ling An took a sip of juice, thinking silently.

"I hope so," Bulma nodded gently. After a moment, she looked at Ling An and asked, "By the way, Ling An-chan, are you feeling better? Are you still feeling unwell?"

"Cough... I'm much better now."

Hearing Bulma's concerned question, Ling An almost choked.

I really didn't expect that even someone with such immense power would feel unwell due to their period. But thinking about it, even someone as powerful as Goku would die from heart disease, so it's understandable.

Bulma's murmuring made Ling An couldn't help but smile wryly. To be honest, she didn't know why she would feel uncomfortable because of her period, and this discomfort was not only physical, but also psychological. After all, she used to be a boy, a boy who didn't need to experience a period. The worst thing was that the healing skills only worked on injuries, and didn't have any significant effect on her own illness, just like how the Senzu Bean couldn't cure Goku's heart disease.

For example, with certain illnesses, the stronger your body is, the more potent the ailment becomes, rather than your strength resolving the issue.

Perhaps this is the only explanation for why, despite being so powerful, capable of casually destroying the Earth, they still experience significant discomfort during their periods.

Over two years, Ling An had gone from initially struggling to accept becoming a woman to now accepting it with equanimity. Although her mentality hadn't fully shifted towards a female perspective, she had developed many thoughts and viewpoints different from when she was male. Even so, every time her period came, she always missed being a man.

But it was also fortunate. Although uncomfortable, it wasn't unbearable. It might affect her during combat, but it was generally fine in daily life.

During this period of discomfort, Ling An hadn't forgotten to calculate her critical hit battle power multiplier. She thought her previous observations were correct. Compared to when she was alone, her critical hit multiplier was significantly higher now that she was with Son Gohan. Although it wasn't a terrifying several times increase, she no longer experienced the embarrassing situation of most multipliers being zero point zero zero something.

Many times, she could achieve a multiplier of zero point zero something, which was already a terrifying number. Even if it was only zero point zero one every day, starting with a battle power of seventy million for her first critical hit, she could gain over seven million battle power in ten days. And sometimes, it wasn't just zero point zero one; she could get even higher.

Therefore, she could now gain nearly a million battle power every day without doing anything, and sometimes, with a high critical hit multiplier, she could instantly gain battle power comparable to Trunks in his base form.

Consequently, the battle power she gained during this time was far greater than that of Trunks and Son Gohan. She had faintly touched the hundred-million level, and she estimated that she would break through to a hundred million battle power in a few days. If she could, like the Saiyans, have a fifty-fold increase in battle power upon transforming, she would now have fifty billion battle power.

Too bad, I can't…

"Ling An-chan, you must take good care of yourself, okay? Even though you have great power, you're still a girl. Fighting and killing isn't just a man's thing in my book, but Ling An-chan is so cute and pretty! If you were to train and fight all day like those guys, you'd get all stinky, and you'd end up with muscles all over. Just the thought of it is awful, so that won't do at all," Bulma said with a chuckle.

Hearing Bulma's words, Ling An giggled. To be honest, she didn't particularly like fighting. However, it wasn't for the reasons Bulma mentioned, like getting all muscly, nor was it about smelling bad. The main reason was that she was afraid of pain and death.

Don't think that fighting is just about pew-pew-pew sounds, in actual combat, people can die or get injured at any moment. As someone who grew up in a peaceful world, Ling An wasn't very enthusiastic about fighting.

She didn't reject fighting, but she knew it was best to avoid it whenever possible. Only fight when there's no other choice. As for her combat power, the most important thing was to be able to protect herself. It's like you don't have to fight, but you should have a way to protect yourself.

"By the way, Ling An-chan, what do you think of Gohan?"

Suddenly, Bulma asked. Ling An blinked in confusion. What did she mean by what she thought of Gohan? She thought for a moment and then said, "Gohan is a determined and hardworking person. His ability to fight the Androids time and time again proves his courage. I think he's an excellent warrior, completely on par with his father, Mr. Son Goku."

This was Ling An's assessment of the future Gohan. Compared to the Gohan in the main timeline, the Gohan of the future was indeed very promising. However, she thought she was just giving her opinion of Son Gohan, but she had no idea that Bulma's next sentence would make Ling An, who was drinking juice, spit it out.

"So, Ling An, do you have your eye on the excellent Son Gohan?"
