"What else could it be?"
Cassius flipped to the first page of the document, pointing at the bold letters. "Do you see this clearly?"
Following his finger, Nevaeh read the words Cooperation Agreement. It wasn't a divorce agreement after all.
Suddenly, she remembered that during their argument, she had suggested signing an agreement, but in her anger, she had completely forgotten about it.
Cassius's voice was calm as he reminded her, "What's wrong? You proposed this, and now you've forgotten so quickly?"
Nevaeh didn't want to argue with him and reached for the agreement to leave.
But just as she was about to grab it, Cassius pressed down on her hand.
"What's your point, Cassius?" she snapped, frustration bubbling up inside her.
"You said you saved my life," Cassius replied, his tone still steady. "What do you mean by that?"
It suddenly clicked for him.
After he woke up, Nevaeh had told him that she saved his life.
