Cassius stared into her deep, captivating eyes and felt something he couldn't control, a pull, as if her gaze could drag him into her world.
He quickly looked away, refusing to meet her eyes again. Instead of answering her question, he said coldly, "Stay away from Samuel."
Nevaeh frowned, confused. "What do you mean? He's your friend."
Cassius gave a sharp, humorless laugh. "Anyone who has their eyes on you is off-limits."
Nevaeh blinked, completely taken aback.
She had always thought of Samuel as kind, composed, and gentlemanly, someone who never crossed the line.
