The unfamiliar man in her passenger seat was injured.She'd stopped the bleeding with her needles, but he needed a proper check-up at a hospital to rule out any serious complications.
"Who are you?" a deep, wary voice suddenly broke the tense silence inside the car.
Nevaeh pulled over and turned to see the man in her back seat had regained consciousness, his eyes open and alert.
"You were in an accident. You passed out and you're hurt. I'm taking you to the hospital," she explained calmly.
The man's eyes scanned her with intense suspicion, his voice cold and hard. "You. You saved me?"
"It was nothing, really," Nevaeh replied. She
wasn't someone who usually went looking for trouble,but the car had been on fire, and he was unconscious. She couldn't just leave him there.
