Chapter 52 - JINWEI SECURITY

The sky was azure, dotted with white clouds of various shapes, and the scorching sun hung at the zenith, radiating endless light and heat.

After Wang Guofei left, Tang Yuan did not continue to sit in the living room. Instead, he got up and walked out of the villa, strolling on the lush green lawn, basking in the warm and bright sunshine.

"Mr. Tang, there's something I'd like to report to you."

Xiao Yayue walked with Tang Yuan in the courtyard for a while, then she suddenly spoke softly.

Hearing this, Tang Yuan slowly stopped, turned around, and smiled, "If I'm not mistaken, what you're about to say should be related to the security company, right?"

Xiao Yayue nodded, confirming Tang Yuan's guess, but she didn't speak immediately. Instead, she meaningfully glanced at Su Xiaoxiao, who was beside Tang Yuan, with a hint of avoidance in her eyes.

Su Xiaoxiao was a smart person. She knew that Xiao Yayue likely had something to discuss with Tang Yuan, so she tactfully took the initiative to say, "Senior, I want to go for a walk in the backyard. I'll be back soon."

"Go ahead."

Tang Yuan responded softly.

After Su Xiaoxiao left, Tang Yuan stopped strolling and found a place to sit down with Xiao Yayue.

"Tell me."

"What are the results of your market research regarding the acquisition of a security company?"

Tang Yuan got straight to the point, asking Xiao Yayuedirectly.

"Mr. Tang, based on your requirements, this is a list of acquisition targets that I've screened for you from dozens of domestic security companies, complete with detailed introductions for your selection."

Xiao Yayue took out a document about half a centimeter thick from her handbag and presented it to Tang Yuan with both hands.

Tang Yuan took the document from Xiao Yayue and casually asked, "Are all of these elite security companies?"

"Yes, they are."

After receiving Xiao Yayue's affirmative answer, Tang Yuan said no more and carefully flipped through the document in his hand. It totaled over twenty pages, with roughly two pages dedicated to each security company.

Time passed quickly, and Tang Yuan soon finished reviewing the document.

"Do you have any good suggestions?"

Tang Yuan casually placed the document on the round table in front of him and asked Xiao Yayue.

"Mr. Tang, among these 12 security companies, I am most optimistic about Jinwei Security."

Facing Tang Yuan's inquiry, Xiao Yayue did not hesitate and directly offered her professional opinion.

"Why?"

Tang Yuan's expression remained unchanged as he pressed further.

"Jinwei Security was established in 1998, with its headquarters in Hong Kong. It has been operating for 20 years and has consistently maintained an excellent reputation in the industry.

From its inception, the company has always pursued an elite strategy. Its security personnel primarily come from three sources: the first part consists of elite police officers high-salary recruited by Jinwei Security from the Hong Kong Police Force's VIP Protection Unit, the Special Duties Unit, and Airport Security Unit; the second part comprises retired soldiers from domestic special forces; and the third part includes retired soldiers from the British Army's Special Air Service."

"Jinwei Security has a total of 107 security personnel, with a male to female ratio of 4:1. All of them have undergone the most rigorous training and are subject to an extremely strict assessment mechanism, with evaluations every six months. If their performance is unsatisfactory, they will be directly dismissed."

"In addition, Jinwei Security also boasts three senior security consultants: one was formerly the head of the Hong Kong Police Force's VIP Protection Unit, another was a special operations commander in the British Foreign Legion, and the third was the chief instructor for close protection at AMA, a top global security company."

"The comprehensive quality of its grassroots security personnel, the experienced capabilities of its senior security consultants, and the company's internal training and assessment mechanisms have allowed Jinwei Security to form a stable pyramid structure. As long as you don't go to war-torn regions like Afghanistan or Syria in the future, the current configuration of Jinwei Security should be more than sufficient to meet your security needs in most places, both domestically and internationally."

Facing Tang Yuan's inquiry, Xiao Yayue clearly articulated her reasons, reciting all sorts of information about Jinwei Security as if it were second nature.

Tang Yuan nodded slightly. In fact, after reviewing the document, he also favored Jinwei Security the most.

As for the other security companies, some were too large and unwieldy, while others had security personnel of mixed quality. Only Jinwei Security had the highest degree of elitism and a suitable scale.

"Among these 12 security companies, Jinwei Securityis indeed the most suitable." Tang Yuan affirmed Xiao Yayue's suggestion, then he asked again, "What is the estimated valuation of Jinwei Security? Is it possible to acquire it entirely?"

"Mr. Tang, the estimated valuation of Jinwei Securityis around 80 million. Its current operational status is good, and its profits are stable. If you wish to acquire it entirely, it would have to be an acquisition at a premium. As for how much of a premium would be required, based on my calculations, it should not be less than 25%, and could even be higher."

Xiao Yayue pondered for a moment before replying to Tang Yuan.

"I'll leave this matter to you."

"Tomorrow, you will go to Hong Kong. If the premium is below 30%, you have full authority to make the decision."

Since Jinwei Security was the optimal choice, Tang Yuan no longer hesitated and directly assigned Xiao Yayue the acquisition task.

When it came to personal safety, Tang Yuan would not feel any heartache, no matter how much money it cost.

"Understood."

Xiao Yayue nodded in agreement.

After discussing this matter, Tang Yuan saw that Wang Guofei had not yet returned, so he asked Xiao Yayue again, "A couple of days ago, I asked you to keep an eye out for news regarding jade thumb rings being auctioned domestically and internationally. Do you have any information on that?"

"Yes, I do." Xiao Yayue sat up straighter and replied, "Sotheby's and Christie's, two international auction houses, will successively hold their 2018 autumn auctions within the next week. At that time, a batch of precious jade thumb rings will be put up for auction."

One week…

Tang Yuan silently calculated the time in his mind; it was barely enough.

"Let me know immediately if you get any news."

Tang Yuan knew that some things couldn't be rushed, so he simply cautioned Xiao Yayue and said no more.

The two sat chatting on the rattan chairs, and time seemed to fly by.

About twenty minutes after Wang Guofei left, he returned to the villa in a hurry with two subordinates.

"Mr. Tang, I apologize for the wait, for the long wait."

Wang Guofei's forehead was covered in fine sweat. Upon seeing Tang Yuan, he repeatedly bowed in apology.

"It's fine." Tang Yuan waved his hand indifferently, "The sun is nice today; it's quite comfortable to bask in it."

"Mr. Tang, the purchase intent agreement is ready. Please take a look…"

Wang Guofei placed the purchase contract in front of Tang Yuan, a hint of fawning smile on his face.

Hearing this, Tang Yuan said nothing. He picked up the purchase contract and looked it over. Seeing that everything was correct, he directly picked up a pen and signed his name in the blank space for the purchaser.

"Here…"

"Just swipe the card for the down payment."

After doing all this, Tang Yuan took out a bank card from his pocket and handed it to Wang Guofei with a smile...
