After the awakening was concluded, a few security officers that were stationed all around the academy stadium ran out to the field and picked up the students from the dark Rimstone one after the other, taking them off the field.
Each officer wore safety gear from head to toe, to make sure they weren't affected by the radiation from the powerful rimstone. Taking the students away from the eyes of the crowd to the inner corridors of the stadium.
While they did this the masses in the crowd were addressed once more by professor Kresha who stated the fact that a dashboard of all students and their awakening would be displayed for all to see ranking them according to their awakening and abilities.
This was clearly not just a about showing the Information of all the students to the crowd, however, it was a way for the big donators and factions to identify potential students to join their clan or organizations.
Kresha took his time explaining a few Informations to that prospect before finishing up and leaving the field shortly after following behind the students and security guards that carried them leaving the crowd as rowdy and violent as ever as they stayed in wait anxious for the next follow up of the awakening event.
Meanwhile, each of the newly Awakened were taken into a large waiting room, all placed on large wooden benches to sit. Those that had lost consciousness from being awakened were lyed while others were sat down by the officers.
Luckily there was enough space for all students to sit around.
And while they waited many engaged themselves in conversations, happy, empty and others saddened by the results of their awakening.
Drake sat down on his own at the far end of a bench rested on a side of the walls of the waiting room checking on his system.
{Name: Drake Drakon}
{Class: SSS Rank}
{Dragon necromancy}
*Description.
This had been what he stared at for moments now, Dragon necromancy? What was that supposed to be. 'Isn's necromancy a summoning type ability... I'm not sure whether to be excited it's a SSS Rank ability or conflicted it's a summoning type ability.'
He thought on that for a while recalling how weak summoning talent was in his previous life, would it be the same now?
After a long moment of thoughts he took his eyes off the notification screen and his gaze slowly fell on a female sitting close to him.
It was Tessa who was equally invested in checking her stats ever since entering the waiting room.
"Hey," he spoke In a low tone to get her attention.
Tessa turned to him and forced a smile.
"So what rank did you awaken,— saw you floating in the air," he smiled to add more lightness to his words.
Tessa laughed at his sorry attempt to sound nice. Drake was not the type to be so warm, especially for things like this, and seeing his forced smile every now and then was a joy Tessa could not pass up on.
"Yeah, I'll tell if you tell me yours first," Tessa teased shaking her head like a disobedient child.
Drake frowned, "I awakened an SSS Rank Dragon summoning ability, wasn't quite what I expected..." He froze a little almost stuttering before continuing, "now your turn."
Tessa pouted her lips and shook her head with a naughty look on her demeanor, "I awakened a SS rank fire ability, but it's different from normal fire from what I have seen in the descriptions, it has more use than just burning things up." She said staring down at her palms which seemed to give out a small flicker of light for a fleeting second before dispersing.
Drakon nodded at her words, at least she was accepting of her awakening, 'Will this be enough.' young Drake clenched his teeth thinking hard about what his abilities would be able to do, still he was from a clan and had seen many displays from his family on how strong their dragon lineage was, but would that be enough... 'if the devil's were to come back?' he passed his breathing heavy.
The strength of his family was something feared and idolized by the other clan. However he had never heard about a summoning ability ever awakened in his family. He was the first and something about this made him rather intruiged of this aspect than frightened.
Well for that, he just had to wait and find out when it was time to test out abilities.
"Huhhh Tess—" before Drake could speak any further a voice broke above all the murmurs and conversations in the room causing a ruckus that could not be missed.
Drake arched his eyes as his gaze fell onto a student there, one dressed in the school's dashing white uniform, having his long red hair drape down his neck to his collars and his hands stretched out in a manner that showed superiority.
Drake let out a sigh. This was one of the students that Awakened a S rank ability clearly; Rumar, an original from a clan that rivaled the Drakon.
Rumar began with spouting words like how he had awakened one of the craziest talents no one had ever seen before, yelling out so that everyone could hear. He even went as far as to walk up to those he knew had lesser talents than he to make them feel inconvenient. this Infuriated the other originals watching.
"It's scum like this that makes the original's name irritating," Tessa frowned placing her hands over her ears and turning to Drake as if begging him to do something.
Drake had the same in mind, for some reason he could do something to stop Rumar not to help but to shut his annoying mouth... Or break it.
The same went for the other originals who were surely having the same thought in mind. Stoping the bullying. however things weren't as simple.
Drake's current position as a clan's direct descendant meant he could not anger other clans. If at least he did, that could cause a clan war or worse a civil war among humans. The same went for the other originals.
'I wonder what his talent is, to have him so hyped,' he was anxious from the show displayed.
In the next moments the massive oakwood double doors of the Room swung open and in stepped the instructors.
There was a difference in their formation this time, professor Kresha was at the back and another person had taken the lead in front, a much older man who had not been in the field earlier but was here for their briefing.
He was Headmaster Stoick.
The old man ran his fingers through his long white beard and smiled at the students full of intent, "since we already know what's happening next, let's cut to the chase and begin the preparation for your first dungeon hunt."
