The customers in the shop were mesmerized by Luya's catchy advertisement slogan—and Luya was quite pleased with the reaction. Everyone was eager to buy the [Yu-Gi-Oh! Scratch Cards]. After all, with just 2,000 Mora, there was a chance—no matter how small—to obtain a Vision. Who wouldn't want to test their luck after hearing such a claim?
Though Luya had completely made up the part about scratching out a Vision, it wasn't entirely false either… since the system's own description of the Scratch Cards stated that you could "obtain anything."
Luya casually pulled out a large stack of Scratch Cards from his system inventory. They were bound like small booklets, each featuring a unique illustration. The rules were simple: scratch off the marked area to reveal your prize.
"So this is a Scratch Card..."
"I can't tell what's on it at all."
"Looks kinda weird."
"How do you even scratch it?"
"Interesting…"
Seeing the growing curiosity among the crowd, Luya began explaining, "You just need to scratch this prize zone open. Then you'll get your reward—simple as that."
As he spoke, he handed one of the cards to Ganyu. Being a Qilin, her luck was usually quite good—so she seemed ideal for the demonstration. After all, yesterday he had scratched one himself and gotten [Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon]. His luck was probably spent for now.
Ganyu accepted the card from Luya, delighted yet a little nervous. "Then I'll... start scratching."
Printed across the card were images of the seven Millennium Items: [Millennium Puzzle], [Millennium Eye], [Millennium Ring], and more. Luya handed her a scratching tool—a small metal scraper forged from iron, excellent for removing the surface without damaging one's nails.
Ganyu held the scraper and gently scratched the first area. The crowd leaned in, trying to see what she would reveal. She placed the card flat on the table. Unlike Luya's card from yesterday—which had only one prize area and instantly yielded [Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon]—Ganyu's card had seven chances. She had to scratch all seven, and if any revealed one of the Millennium Item symbols, she'd win a mystery prize.
She began scratching the first area. A smiling Kuriboh face appeared—no win. She scratched again—this time a mischievous Ghost Trick pattern. Still no win. Four scratches in—nothing.
"Ah... this win rate's pretty low, huh?"
"Guess you can't expect much for 2,000 Mora."
"Could this thing be rigged?"
"I think I'll wait to see if anyone actually wins first."
Hearing the customers' murmurs of doubt, Ganyu started feeling pressured. If she couldn't win anything, it might hurt business.
Please, please... she prayed in her heart. Let me win something this time!
Taking a deep breath, she steeled herself—staking her pride and her bond with Liyue Harbor on this final scratch. She scraped the last area with determination.
"Here we go!"
The [Millennium Eye] symbol appeared clearly in the final slot! And as it did, a burst of golden light erupted from the Scratch Card. The entire shop glowed brightly, bathed in gold—it was as though a divine radiance had descended upon the store. The golden aura shimmered like a soft veil across every surface. Then, the card disintegrated into dust.
Above Ganyu's head, a golden roulette wheel appeared, spinning rapidly. The pointer flicked across many prizes:
[300 million Mora]
[100-year lifespan]
[Body of a Demon God]
[Millennium Puzzle]
And finally…
It stopped on [Pyro Vision]!
The spinning halted. A blazing Vision—radiating fiery red light—floated before Ganyu. She reached out and caught it, feeling its scorching warmth.
In Teyvat, when a person's desire burns strong enough, they may be granted a [Vision]—an external magical organ bestowed by the gods, allowing them to channel elemental power. Those blessed with a Vision can use it as a conduit, their elemental type determined by their inner nature.
When mortals face circumstances beyond their control, they often lament their own helplessness... Yet at the steepest crossroads of fate—if a mortal's will reaches its limit—the gaze of a god descends. That is the Vision: a divine acknowledgment of mortal potential, an external magical organ that channels elemental energy.
The heavens are the realm of the gods. When Vision holders pass away, they ascend to Celestia. Every bearer of a Vision is one qualified to become divine—a so-called "Original God," with the right to reach the heavens above. This was a secret known only to true gods.
However, Ganyu already had a Vision. She never expected that a Scratch Card could grant her another one. She was utterly astonished.
Meanwhile, the crowd was in chaos.
"What the—!?"
"No way!!!"
"She actually scratched out a Vision!?"
"I'll never doubt the shopkeeper again!"
"I was wrong!!!"
"These Scratch Cards are insane!"
"Forget that… the real miracle is Miss Ganyu's luck!"
Even Luya was stunned. He had just made that claim up—yet his best employee, Ganyu, had actually scratched out a real Vision!?
This was... the perfect advertisement.
With Ganyu's single-draw Vision story, Luya was certain all 500,000 Scratch Cards would sell out within a day.
Having [Divine Hand Lv10], Luya wasn't particularly surprised by Visions anymore.
Albeit, to ordinary people, the allure of a Vision was overwhelming… an artifact of divine power capable of controlling the elements. Many in the crowd looked on with envy.
Among them stood a wealthy young man—[Childe] Tartaglia. Witnessing the miraculous scene of Ganyu winning a Vision, he couldn't resist.
"Shopkeeper, we meet again! I'll take 50,000 of them~"
Tartaglia casually tossed Luya a Northland Bank check worth 100 million Mora.
