'Huh—! Am I not alone?'
That was the first conscious thought I could form as my instincts warned me about the eyes looking at me in the hallway.
I wanted to check it out, but my body's needs won over my curiosity and I decided to head to the bathroom.
Thankfully, those eyes did not follow me to the washroom and I could relieve myself in silence and serenity. But they came back once I walked toward the kitchen and looked intensely when I went back.
I closed my bedroom door to hopefully get rid of the presence and I was finally successful.
Once again, my eyes closed and I relaxed my body. I was out within seconds, totally unaware of the presence that had snuck beside me and decided to share the bed with me.
When my consciousness slowly came back during morning hours, I felt a little startled by the sudden weight on top of my waist.
My mind was considerably sharper compared to last night and the first thing I noticed were the familiar scents as well as Theo's alpha pheromones.
