"I think you have the wrong person. I just came here to look for my lost cat. I am not someone dangerous."
I told the person holding that sharp edge against my neck. My voice was also getting filtered by a mask, so I was sure I looked just as suspicious as the other person did to me.
There was no answer from the person behind me, but I did not mistake that silence as them letting me go.
Instead, I braced myself and threw my body forward as soon as I sensed danger. My hands touched the ground and I instantly rolled toward my right before pushing myself back on my feet and kicking the knife away from me.
"What the-"
The person who tried to intimidate me seconds ago looked shocked at what happened, and I used that opportunity to reach out and grab him.
The only things visible from behind the mask were those eerily red eyes that looked familiar. Those were the same eyes that had been looking inside my room before.
"Let's see who's beneath this mask."
