'Shut your mouth and look for them. You must get me that girl tonight!' Orests barked while his two friends look away. He flash the light around once again but couldn't see anything. He turned around to leave but paused when he noticed something. Pointing the light back at the tree, he dimmed his eyes and there he saw a little flashlight beside it. He look at the other end and then, he saw a woolen cloth peeping at him, as though someone is hiding behind the tree.
Oh such a fool, did she think she can escape from him?
A smirk left his lips. 'There they are.' He said then walk over to the tree and jut as he had guessed, Amethyst sat there with her eyes shut, scared while Nathan sat beside her, unconscious. He smiled mischievously and jumped to the front.
'Here you are Ammy, do you think you can escape my claws?' he mocked, walking toward her but he paused midway.
'Right, let me teach this psycho that fills in your head a lesson.' He added as he swung his leg to the back to hit Nathan but as soon as the first leg the leave the floor, Nathan hit his second leg to, making him loose balance and fall forward, wanting to fall on him but he quickly roll to the side, which make Orests hit his head on the tree hardly and he fell to the floor, losing consciousness,'
Nathan stood up, his silver hair now having a bit of thick red, lightning strikes and thunder roared highlighting his face which make him look more scary and without wasting a seconds, Abigor and adder took off on their heels and ran away, not daring to turn to look at the back with the fear of seeing him chasing them even when they 70% sure that he is not after them.
Amethyst stood up quickly and support Nathan who had began to feel weak, his nimble movement a while ago make his head ring, singing him a lullaby that makes him feels sleepy or rather, a strong headache that make him almost pass out.
'let's quickly get out of here Nathan.' She said as she lead him down the street, toward the large gate that led out of the university walls.
'Thank you Ammy.' Nathan mumbled, getting more than weak but pushing himself to go further, he don't want to be the one slowing down her movement. He had already cause her lots of problems, he did not want to add to it.
'It's nothing Nath, let's get to the hospital first, okay?' she said, walking him down till they reach the gate. But…. It was locked by a giant padlock.
'How would we open this?' Amethyst wondered, her brow creased worriedly. Time flew by but they were still stucked by the door, Nathan grow weaker and weaker, his eyes dimming and losing consciousness, giving in to the enticing lullaby that is calling him to sleep while Amethyts keep banging on the security man's door, till her hand bleed.
What bastard being! How can a security man sleep this much? Even if thieves try breaking in here, they would steal the entire building along with them without him getting to know a thing.
After what seems like forever, the grumpy old man later came out and after seeing Nathan's face, he didn't even dare to ask question as he open the door for them.
Nathan force his eyes open, staggering out of the university gate with Amethyst but deep down, he knew he wouldn't make it. Deep down, he knew it is possible he would not survive this, he just can't hold on anymore.
'Amethyst.' He called, pausing in his tracks while Amethyst turn slightly to look at him.
'What's wrong? Did you need anything? Did it hurt really much?' she asked, her brow creasing curiously.
'Let me sit.' He said while Amethyst nodded, leading him to a place to sit. The hospital is miles away, they can't walk there. The only thing that could save him is to see a fast car that would take them there … but … it's the middle of the night, there would be no cab around and also no passerby that could offer help.
'Are you okay?' Amethyst asked as Nathan took a sit, staring at him with curiousness in her eyes, her heart pounding hardly in her chest.
'I'm sorry Ammy but… I can't go further… i… leave without me … it is inevitable… I would die, I know but…. I want you to take care of yourself, protect yourself without me.'
'wh… what are you saying… what …. What did you mean Nathan?' she stammered, scared than ever.
'I appreciate your effort Amethyst…. I hope I could stay by your side forever but…. Fate is far against us…
'stop saying shits Nathan…
'I can't survive this Amethyst.'

'I hope I could, I'm sorry…'

'Nathan please, wee would soon find a passerby that would help us to the hospital.

'I'm sorry for the pain I've caused you…
'Nathan please, I would die, look at me…' she called, slapping his cheek severally so that he would keep looking at her but instead, his eyes shut slowly, a smile at the corner of his lips.
'I love you purple.' He mumbled his last word, his eyes brimming as he gaze at Amethyst whose face is now blurry to him. He couldn't see her clearly. Her loud cries made its way into his ear, like music but the background was the strong lullaby that keep calling him to sleep. He wanted to stay alive and play with her like before but he has no choice so with a sense of satisfaction, he give in to the lullaby and close his eyes, knowing she is here by his side until his final goodbye. Though his life was cut short, his love will forever remain and in her heart, his memory would forever sustain.
