'I would do it,' Amethyst said as she looks into Mrs. Ashbluff's eyes, courage in her brown eyes, no hint of regret.
Mrs. Ashbluff sneered, a devilish grin on her face.
'Really? Are you proving to be a diligent lover? Proving that you're loyal and that you love my son?' She asked, her gaze as she glare at Amethyst filled with disgust.
'I would do anything for Nathan….
'save the story. Are you sure you are not backing down?'
'Yes ma'am.'
'have you taken anything this morning?
'No, I couldn't eat with my heart still…
'Save the story. You not taking anything would speed up the surgery. Get into the car and let's go to the hospital at once.' She said and stood up from the table, dropping the cup of coffee that she was holding. Amethyst stood up too and followed Victoria as she walk out of the restaurant and got into the car. The car zoomed off.
The car appeared in front of the hospital and they alighted. Mrs. Ashbluff walked at the fore front while Amethyst scurried after her, nervous, uneasy and sometimes, scared but with the thought of 'I can be with Nathan.' She snoozed everything off.
They met few doctors and talked. Mrs. Ashbluff made several call and finally, a paper was brought for her to sign. stating that she has offer one of her eyes, one of her kidney and half of her liver to Mrs. Ashbluff. she felt reluctant and scared but…. It's Nathan's live we are talking about. She's ready to do anything for it.' With this in her mind, she scribbled down her signature and was wheeled to the operating room, a wide smile on Mrs. Ashbluff's face all along.
**Goldie's Apartment**
'Ammy, mom is home.' Goldie said as she walked into Amethyst's room but no one is there. She had checked the sitting room and the kitchen earlier before but she was not there… or… did something happen to her? Did he go out or is she in the restroom? She pondered as she walk toward the restroom and pull the door open, glaring through everything but Amethyst is nowhere to be found.
What's wrong?
She turn back swiftly with a creased brow but her brow creased more when she saw a paper lying on the bed. She walked toward it and pick it up, unwrapping it uneasily.
'I'm sorry mom, you must have been extremely disappointed in the daughter you have but… I'm madly in love in Nathan, I choose to give him my organs.'
The paper Goldie was holding dropped while she stood there, stunned but soon get back to her senses. She walked back to the sitting room and picked up her car keys before running out of the house madly.
Amethyst is making a mistake. That covetous woman is just taking her organ for her own greed, not for the sake of Nathan. It is something…. That had once happen to her and she foolishly fall for it, now it's her daughter too. She must stop it. She would stop it, she just hopes it is not too late.
**Back at the hospital**
Amethyst's eyes shut open slowly, hit by the sudden brightness that filled the room. She felt the numbness of her body, weak and light with one of her face plastered.
Surely, her eyes is gone!
She raised her two hand too touch her belly and se could feel two different plaster in two different places.
One of her kidney and half of her liver is gone!
She closes her one eye to push back the tears that want to break free from it. Soon, she heard some shout and yell outside.
'Where's my daughter?! What have you done to my daughter you witch!' Goldie's voice rang from the other side while Amethyst struggled to stand on her feet, stumbling toward the door weakly. She push open the door and everywhere went silent.
'Ammy.' Goldie called, her face white like someone who had just seen a ghost but as soon as she noticed Amethyst's bandaged eyes, she lose steady and fall down, loosing consciousness. Her daughter had made the same mistake as her. The biggest mistake ever.
