Chapter 43 - Chapter 43 Food Creation Technique

In a forest east of Suramar, Gale led the logistics troops to clear a space to serve as a logistics base.

The warehouse had already been built, and the logistics troops were making the fish they caught into salted fish for easy storage. Gale sent Salador to lead the Rangers into the forest to scout, preventing Trolls from approaching.

Although this was not yet the main area of Troll activity, the Trolls could infiltrate eastern Suramar from here, so they must have been very familiar with it.

The fishing boat was sent back to Suramar by Gale to notify the Moon Fury Legion Commander.

After the victory of the Heda'shal battle, Yue Nu was promoted for his meritorious service in combat. In this war against the Trolls, Yue Nu became the overall commander of the army.

The Moon Fury Legion Commander was under immense pressure; this war severely lacked basic resources. There were no military funds, insufficient intelligence, low morale, and the wrong season—from every angle, a war should not have been launched.

However, Queen Azshara had already given the order, so he could only bite the bullet and proceed.

Fortunately, the quartermaster was Gale; otherwise, he truly wouldn't have known what to do.

Before the army departed, Gale had already sent him the first great gift. Traveling by fishing boat along the river, they could actually reach the Troll border. Gale had already built a base there and was gathering intelligence. They just needed the army to arrive to launch an attack.

There was only one fishing boat, capable of transporting only a few dozen people to the base at a time. The Moon Fury Legion Commander decided to have the Mages build a few more, first transporting the reorganized Alpha Squad. Since the base was newly established, it would definitely need manpower to help, so the Alpha Squad would first take over the scouting mission and collect Troll intelligence.

After the base expanded, the First Legion would gradually be transported over. Then, a surprise attack would be launched against the Trolls, and after securing an advantageous position, all legions would be gathered there.

His idea was to ideally build a city, using defense as offense, to lure the Trolls to their deaths. Moreover, if they didn't penetrate deep into Troll territory, captured prisoners would be easier to transport back.

Soon, the boats were built, and the Alpha Squad arrived at the base, taking over the scouting mission, so Gale recalled the Rangers. More hands working would also speed up the base's construction.

The increase in personnel led to a sharp consumption of food, which also worried Gale. They hadn't even started fighting yet! A lot of food had already been consumed, and after the fighting began, who knew how much more would be consumed!

Although there were fish catches to supplement, they couldn't always eat fish, could they? Moreover, there weren't too many fish; after all, winter was the dry season, and finding one or two schools of fish was already quite good.

The food crisis made Gale lament, if only he could use a 'conjure food' spell like in games.

Wait!

Conjure Food?

Gale's mind was instantly enlightened.

According to the Dungeon spell system, Conjure Food is a conjuration spell. From an Arcane perspective, Conjure Food is a manifestation of Arcane altering reality.

Following the shape of bread, he designed an ether spirit. Then he infused Arcane Energy into the ether spirit, and then twisted the Arcane Energy, changing the laws of reality.

Soon, a piece of bread appeared in Gale's hand.

Conjure Food, it was that simple!

Gale smiled smugly and took a bite of the bread. The next second, he spat the bread directly onto the ground. This bread was not only rock-hard but also completely tasteless.

After some thought, Gale decided to make changes from the magical idealism direction.

Casting Conjure Food again, a magical bread was created once more. However, this time it was significantly better; the softness was almost comparable to whole-wheat bread, and it also emitted a wheaty aroma.

Tasting it again, the texture was a bit astringent, and the taste was still a bit lacking.

Then continue to improve!

Soon, the magical bread created by Gale was already comparable to the bread sold in modern world bakeries. It was fragrant and sweet, even more delicious than the bread specially supplied to Azshara.

If he ever went bankrupt, Gale could live in Sin'dorei by selling magical bread.

That night, Gale made a large pile of magical bread for everyone to taste. Both the logistics troops and the Alpha Squad warriors gave Gale's magical bread a big thumbs up.

"It's so delicious!"

"I've never eaten such delicious bread."

Carlos was also transferred to the Alpha Squad, becoming its commander, an appointment made by Yue Nu to win over Gale. He curiously leaned over, "Gale, are these breads really made by you using magic?"

Gale nodded, "A spell I just researched, I call it Conjure Food."

"Having spells is great!" Carlos was full of envy, then said, "How many such breads can you make in a day? If you could supply an army of ten thousand, we wouldn't have a food crisis."

Gale was speechless, did you really want him to be a bread-making machine?

He could imagine, if he admitted it, he probably wouldn't be doing anything else in the coming days.

"Do you think Arcane is worthless? I can supply at most a few hundred people; any more and I'd run out of mana."

Carlos was a little disappointed, "It seems we still need to find a way to get food."

Gale: "Don't worry, the land on both sides of the river is fertile; once cleared, it will be good farmland. There's still some time until spring, so we can use this time to capture more Trolls to grow food. As long as we wait until the autumn harvest, we won't lack food."

"Before the autumn harvest, we can only rely on you Mages."

"This is what we should do!"

Gale had some regrets; Conjure Food was the culprit that demoted Mages from Blizzard's favorite child to chefs.

Fortunately, Carlos reported the matter of Conjure Food to the Moon Fury Legion Commander. The Moon Fury Legion Commander immediately took it seriously; his biggest concern right now was insufficient food, and now having a spell that could create bread was simply too good.

The Moon Fury Legion Commander immediately sent the Mages over, strictly ordering all Mages to learn Conjure Food.

Gale saw hope for relief and shared everything he knew with these Mages, even teaching them how to weave ether spirits. With ether spirits, the Mages would be able to create magical bread faster and in greater quantities.

After the Mages learned Conjure Food, the Moon Fury Legion Commander recalled most of the Mages to ensure the logistics of the main force. Some Mages also stayed behind to help Gale build the base.

Among these Mages, a talented Mage named Metri caught Gale's attention.

Metri was the fastest among all Mages to master Conjure Food, and also the fastest to master ether spirits. Moreover, he was very diligent and maintained a strong curiosity for the unknown.

After learning about ether spirits, he immediately felt the greatness of this "Arcane model."

Therefore, he applied to stay to consult Gale about the knowledge of ether spirits.

Gale always felt Metri's name was somewhat familiar, but he couldn't recall where he had heard it. However, any name that made him feel familiar must be an existence that left its mark in the history of Warcraft.

So Gale spoke freely, preparing for the next step of recruiting Metri.
