Chapter 47 - Chapter 47: Draktharr's Duskblade

Moon Fury Legion Commander was also surprised; while three hundred plus troll captives weren't many, it was important to remember that this was the achievement of the logistics unit and Alpha Squad.

Although the Priest Corps helped a little, it couldn't erase the contributions of the former two.

Not only could it not erase them, but the former two's contributions should account for the larger share.

Whether viewed from the battle report or based on the reports from the fishing boat soldiers, it was evident that Gale's construction of the base wall within three days played a huge role.

Then, he led the logistics unit to hold back the trolls' siege, stalling until Alpha Squad recovered its strength, until the Priest Corps arrived, and until Maiev blasted open the Shadow Hunter's Shadow energy shield.

Maiev, the Priest Corps, and even Alpha Squad could all be considered the final straw that broke the camel's back.

Moon Fury Legion Commander sent people to escort the troll captives to Sin'dorei, to present them to Queen Azshara, and to commend Gale and the others.

Azshara's mood was a bit complex; Gale's repeated performances on the battlefield made it difficult for her to suspect him of tampering with azshara's crown.

However, every time she thought of azshara's crown, Azshara would recall the mistaken perceptions it had brought her.

How could I not be the most beautiful woman in the world? It's simply ridiculous.

Thus, Azshara kept the commendation document, saying, "Mage Gale has always been a Kaldorei role model, and I will remember everything he has done for the empire.

However, Gale is, after all, a quartermaster; he should not be on the front lines, as that is not his primary duty."

Moon Fury Legion Commander was filled with trepidation; he hadn't expected that presenting captives would not only fail to earn praise but would instead incur the Queen's displeasure.

He completely overthought it; Azshara simply didn't want Gale to achieve any more merits.

However, Azshara's words made it very difficult for Yue Nu not to misunderstand; Gale shouldn't be on the front lines, those who should be on the front lines are them, the regular army, doesn't this imply she's dissatisfied with their slow actions?

Just as Moon Fury Legion Commander was accelerating the assembly of his troops, Gale and Maiev began researching the Shadow energy gem.

"I can feel an ominous aura within the gem," Maiev said with a frown.

"Gale, I advise you not to use it."

Gale nodded; he could feel it too.

The Shadow energy within the gem was not pure; instead, it contained some evil impurities.

He speculated that this Shadow energy gem might be related to Kishix, and the evil aura within it might be Kishix's evil genes.

"We can try to purify it; perhaps after purification, it can be used!"

Maiev thought for a moment, then called over several Priests.

They prayed to Elune, using the divine purification spell.

The divine purification spell enveloped the Shadow energy gem, and the evil impurities within the gem continuously overflowed and then dissipated into the air.

After purification, a significant amount of the Shadow energy on the gem dissipated, but it no longer posed any threat.

"Although it can be used now, its energy has weakened a lot, which is a bit of a shame," Maiev looked at Gale. "What do you plan to use him for?"

Gale was also a bit hesitant; according to the previous concentration of Shadow energy, with just a few more materials, he might have been able to create a divine artifact.

Unfortunately, now not only were the materials insufficient, but the gem's energy had also decayed, so he could only forge an epic weapon.

He considered the measurement data of the other four Mage Tower guards, and then imagined the equipment models from the game.

Gale quickly got the answer: "Let's make an epic sword!"

Maiev was even more curious; how would one make an epic sword from a gem?

Gale rummaged through his magic pouch and took out two refined iron ingots.

Then, he used a spell to merge the black refined iron ingots into one, forging them into a curved saber with serrations.

To prevent the serrations from being easily damaged, Gale took out a bit of thorium and incorporated it into the blade part.

As his strength increased, Gale could always use an ether spirit as a forging furnace, with Arcane Energy as the fuel, allowing him to forge equipment anywhere, anytime.

After the prototype of the sword was forged, Gale inlaid the Shadow energy gem at the bottom of the blade, close to the hilt.

Then, Gale took out a drill made of Asunite citrine.

This citrine had been kept from when azshara's crown was originally made, and Gale had fashioned it into a drill specifically for engraving runes on hard metals.

Maiev kept her eyes on Gale, watching him effortlessly create a sword with magic, and an unusual glint appeared in her eyes.

Soon, Gale put away the citrine drill and said with a smile to Maiev, "It's finished."

"That fast?" Maiev asked in surprise.

"Not that fast, I suppose!" Gale said, puzzled. "More than an hour has already passed."

Maiev was startled: Has it been that long?

She subconsciously didn't want to dwell on the topic, "Others take who knows how long to make an epic weapon! Tell me, what's special about this sword?"

Gale took out the sword, gesturing with it as he introduced, "This sword is entirely forged from refined iron.

The blade part has added thorium, which strengthens the hardness of the refined iron and increases its attack power.

When Shadow energy is channeled, it can increase armor penetration.

I've engraved a Haste rune on it, which can increase the user's attack speed."

"Its most important function is that it allows for rapid movement in shadows, and after killing an enemy, it can quickly enter stealth.

It's as if the night makes it impossible to see, so I call it Draksa's UmbraEdge."

"Draksa? Is that the warrior among your Mage Tower guards?" Maiev asked, puzzled. "This sword clearly seems more suitable for a Ranger."

"From its shape and size, it is indeed more suitable for a Ranger.

However, its weight is too heavy, so it's still more convenient for a warrior to use.

Moreover, Draksa cannot currently be considered a qualified warrior, nor does he need to fight like a warrior, at least not yet."

Although Gale intended to train Draksa as a tank, a qualified tank is not so easily trained.

Before he was fully trained, Gale needed to ensure that Draksa could grow smoothly, and becoming invisible after killing an enemy was perfectly suited for him.

After Draksa received the weapon, he was also confused, "Your Excellency, this weapon seems more suitable for Kana."

Kana Darkwalker clearly followed the path of an assassin rogue, and if the weapon's weight wasn't a consideration, Draksa's UmbraEdge would indeed be very suitable for him.

"Kana's weapon hasn't been made yet," Gale said.

"You use this weapon first; if you're not used to it after a while, I'll swap it for you."

"I... I didn't mean that!" Draksa said, blushing.

He really liked this weapon named after him, even though it looked a bit strange.

However, it seemed very comfortable for him to use; not only was the weight suitable, but the design of the serrations and the blade perfectly matched his usage habits.

Gale's thoughtfulness deeply moved him; this was indeed a weapon specially made for him.
