Chapter 63 - Chapter 63 Red Proto-Dragon Mount

Looking at the Proto-Dragon falling from the sky, the people on the city wall couldn't help but click their tongues.

They remembered that not long ago, when the fortress faced this Proto-Dragon, it was so passive that it was almost slaughtered by it.

But now, such a powerful Proto-Dragon was subdued by Gale in an instant.

Hmm… it seemed to be just a little short.

Gale flashed down from the high mountain and appeared beside the Proto-Dragon.

The Proto-Dragon struggled to get up. Although the ice spikes had injured it, they were far from life-threatening. It didn't think it was defeated; instead, it angrily sprayed Dragon Breath at Gale, venting its frustration.

Gale had anticipated this and raised Aggramar's Shield in front of him. The powerful Titan shield blocked the Dragon Breath. He slightly shook Nash's Fang, and a huge chunk of ice fell from the sky, hitting the Proto-Dragon's head.

"Crash!"

The ice shattered everywhere, and the Proto-Dragon was left dizzy and disoriented. Its Dragon Breath was choked back, leaving only a wisp of black smoke coming from its mouth.

Gale jumped onto the Proto-Dragon's back, and a rein appeared out of thin air. He pulled the rein with his hand, while simultaneously conjuring two huge ice spikes and holding them against the Proto-Dragon's eyes.

"Obey my commands if you want to live!"

The Proto-Dragon's eyes flickered, wanting to resist, but it was afraid of having its eyes poked out by the ice spikes.

Gale said coldly, "I know you can understand me, so don't pretend to be deaf and mute. And don't pretend to be tough; since you can become mounts for the Dragon Rider Clan, you can naturally become my mount. If you dare to disobey, I don't mind killing you."

The Proto-Dragon was surprised. It didn't know why Gale understood Proto-Dragons so well or why he knew about the Dragon Rider Clan. However, its last layer of disguise was torn away by Gale, and hiding any longer would be a dead end.

And it didn't want to die!

It lowered its head, showing submission to Gale.

Gale waved Nash's Fang, and the ice spikes on the Proto-Dragon immediately dissipated. With its powerful self-healing ability, the Proto-Dragon's wounds quickly healed.

Gale pulled the rein, and a piece of information was transmitted into the Proto-Dragon's mind. The Proto-Dragon pushed off with its legs and leaped into the air.

"Lord Commander, the Drakkari Troll Army has disintegrated. I must return to Sin'dorei first."

Yue Nu also wanted to go back. If he could show his loyalty to Azshara at this time, he would definitely gain Azshara's attention. Unfortunately, he couldn't go with Gale; he still had to organize the army's retreat.

"Give my regards to Her Majesty!"

Gale nodded and pulled the rein again. The Proto-Dragon flapped its wings, soared into the sky, and flew rapidly southward.

Gale remembered the magic map clearly. Through his deductions, he roughly knew where the Troll Army would arrive. So he had the Proto-Dragon change direction and fly southwest.

Sin'dorei was still peaceful, but the Eternal Palace was already bustling with activity.

Ever since Tulan brought back the news that the Troll Army was going to attack Sin'dorei, there had been no peace in the Eternal Palace.

Azshara was furious. She considered herself benevolent and had not put the Trolls to the sword. Yet, the Trolls had provoked her repeatedly, and this time they even wanted to attack Sin'dorei.

"Immediately mobilize the army and Mages. This time, we must teach the Trolls a lesson."

The order was secretly issued. Suramar, Nasalas, and the surrounding towns and villages had almost all their defensive forces withdrawn. Whether they were warriors, Rangers, or Mages, they all headed to Sin'dorei.

Savis was in charge of the reconnaissance work against the Trolls. With Gale's previous information, Savis quickly discovered the Troll Army about two hundred miles east of Sin'dorei. Looking at the dense mass of Trolls, Savis felt his scalp tingle, as if he had developed trypophobia.

However, he didn't put the Troll Army in his eyes at all.

Sin'dorei had hundreds of Archmages and was backed by the Well of Eternity, possessing infinite energy. No matter how many Trolls came, it would just be a matter of one super-large spell.

The only thing to consider now was where to set the battlefield. Under the walls of Sin'dorei, or in the Duskwood Forest to the east?

Savis reported to Azshara, and Azshara made a decision.

"Set the battlefield in Duskwood Forest, and let the Trolls taste the flames."

Savis immediately led the army. He specifically chose a suitable location as the battlefield. Then he had the Mages draw magic circles in a hidden location. As soon as the Troll Army arrived, he would activate the circles and present the Trolls with a welcoming gift.

The Trolls still didn't know they had been discovered. They were still marching slowly. Moving an army of 100,000 was a very cumbersome task. Especially after entering Duskwood Forest, without the use of rivers, the Trolls could only rely on manpower to transport supplies.

With no other option, except for the Trolls responsible for reconnaissance, all other Trolls had to help the logistics unit carry supplies.

As a result, what should have taken only ten days to reach the walls of Sin'dorei had only covered one-third of the distance. This not only gave Savis ample time to set up an ambush but also gave Gale ample time to arrive.

Just as the Kaldorei Mages were waiting for the Trolls to enter the ambush site, a red Proto-Dragon descended from the sky.

"Enemy attack!"

The Rangers all sounded the alarm, and everyone looked warily at the sky.

However, the Proto-Dragon only landed in an open space and did not attack the Kaldorei. As everyone remained vigilant, the Proto-Dragon lowered its large head, revealing a Kaldorei figure.

"Gale?"

Tulan exclaimed. He had spent the most time with Gale, so he was the first to recognize him.

The Mages all looked at Gale in astonishment. They never imagined that Gale would return from the front lines riding a Proto-Dragon.

Gale jumped off the dragon's back, pulled a wild boar from his magic pouch, and threw it to the Proto-Dragon. The Proto-Dragon happily opened its mouth to catch it, swallowing the wild boar in two or three bites. The Proto-Dragon had a huge appetite and needed to stop frequently along the way to hunt beasts.

Gale had to find a herd of wild boars, kill all the large ones, and use them as food for the Proto-Dragon. The Proto-Dragon had grown accustomed to being fed, becoming increasingly docile.

After eating its fill, the Proto-Dragon let out a satisfied burp and lay on the ground, snoring loudly.

Gale's mouth twitched. He realized he seemed to have become a "dragon slave," even having to hunt to feed the Proto-Dragon. However, Gale would not let the Proto-Dragon go hunting by itself, otherwise, it might cause some other trouble. Without his suppression, there was a high probability that this fellow would fly to Sin'dorei to eat Kaldorei civilians.

Gale came before Savis and the others. "At the Trolls' speed, it will be at least three more days before they reach your ambush circle."

Savis didn't like Gale, but he couldn't express it in front of a large crowd.

"We are already tracking the Trolls' position. Do you have any information we don't know?"

Gale curled his lips, "Does the Troll Army having a loa count?"
