Chapter 115 - Chapter 115: Urginus, the Dark Lord

In Highmountain, Kana rapidly ran across the mountains, with hundreds of spiders chasing him.

He had just infiltrated the spider's camp when he was discovered. Those spiders actually possessed the ability to detect invisibility, and if Kana hadn't escaped by Shadowstep, he would have been engulfed by magic projectiles.

Kana dodged left and right, moving up and down, constantly evading the incoming magic projectiles.

He had run a long way, but these spiders were persistent, showing no signs of giving up until he was dead.

Did I uncover some secret?

Kana racked his brain but couldn't figure out what this so-called secret was.

Soon, Kana arrived at a valley. As he passed through, dozens of Tauren suddenly appeared on the slopes on both sides.

The Tauren charged from above, their massive bodies crushing the spiders like bulldozers. The spiders tried to escape, but the Tauren shamans communicated with nature, using fire to cut off their retreat.

Soon, the battle ended, and all the spiders were killed.

Kana turned back and expressed his gratitude to the Tauren: "Thank you for your help."

"Mr. Elf, this is what we should do. Your Lord has given us strong support, and all Elves are our friends. I am Moraine Highmountain, Chieftain of the Highmountain Tribe."

The elderly Tauren Chieftain was robust in spirit. He held a thick runic spear, inscribed with many Tauren characters.

Just then, a Tauren shaman walked over, "Sir, these spiders must have been chasing you for a long time."

Kana nodded, "Indeed, I wanted to scout their camp. The moment I stepped in, I was discovered. But these spiders are a bit strange; they've been relentlessly pursuing me. This makes me suspect I might have scouted some important intelligence, but after thinking for a long time, I haven't found anything unusual."

"Perhaps you forgot!" the shaman said with a smile.

"Forgot?" Kana asked, puzzled, "My memory is very strong, how could I forget?"

"Someone made you forget!" The shaman walked over, "Relax, I can help you check. If your memory has been sealed, I can help you unseal it."

Kana was very curious, "Really?"

"Of course!" The shaman closed his eyes and began to cast a spell.

Soon, a strange memory emerged in Kana's mind. He saw himself arriving in the middle of the camp, and in the depths of the camp, he saw a tall figure. The figure only looked at him once, and he froze.

"Kill him!"

A voice that seemed to come from hell jolted him, allowing him to move again.

The spiders surrounded him, and Kana, in a panic, turned and ran. The spiders shot magic projectiles at him, and he immediately cast Shadowstep—

The memory fragment abruptly ended there, but it shocked Kana to his core.

He finally remembered; before, he couldn't quite recall how he entered the shadows. Because he was busy escaping, he subconsciously overlooked this matter.

Moraine: "It seems you've remembered something."

"That's right, I've recovered a memory. It turns out I had already infiltrated the spider's camp and, in the depths of the camp, saw their commander, a giant monster covered in tentacles."

Kana spoke while drawing the terrifying monster on a stone, "It seemed to come from hell, dozens of yards tall. I only had to be looked at by it once to forget this experience."

"That is Dark magic," the shaman said, "These spiders also use Dark magic, filled with darkness and evil; it's not an exaggeration to say they come from hell."

Moraine: "It seems this monster's power is very strong."

"Indeed!" The shaman looked at Moraine, "It seems we need to think of a solution."

Moraine looked at the runic spear in his hand, seemingly having made up his mind.

"Boom—boom—boom…"

A series of dull footsteps approached, each one shaking the ground.

Kana felt a familiar aura and immediately shouted, "It's here!"

Moraine immediately ordered, "Retreat!"

The Tauren immediately withdrew from the valley, and looking back, they saw the monster Kana had drawn appear in the valley. At its feet, endless spiders advanced.

The monster slammed the pincers on its two arms onto the slopes on both sides of the valley, slowly bending down, and let out an eerie voice.

"mortals, I am Dark Lord Urginesh. Surrender to me, and I will spare your lives."

"Dream on!" Kana said through gritted teeth, infuriated by his sealed memory. He only regretted his own weakness, unable to kill this monster with his own hands.

Moraine patted him on the shoulder, "Don't let hatred blind your eyes. I don't think your Lord wants you to act rashly."

Kana quickly regained his composure, "Chieftain Moraine, I need to return to Andu Talla and report what happened here to Lord Gale."

Moraine nodded, "Go ahead! And please, deliver a message for me: the Tauren have reached a critical moment of life and death. I hope Lord Gale will send us the weapons we need as soon as possible."

"I will!"

Kana nodded vigorously, feeling admiration for Moraine. Even at this critical juncture, Moraine was unwilling to ask the Kaldorei for help, seemingly wanting to bear everything alone.

"Thank you!"

Moraine expressed his gratitude to Kana, then quickly retreated with the Tauren.

Kana took a deep look at Urginesh, then disappeared into the shadows before the spiders could get close.

A few days later, Kana returned to Andu Talla and reported the intelligence to Gale.

Gale had not been idle these past few days either. He had already used the Arcane Eye to scout the general terrain of Highmountain. On the magic map, he marked Urginesh's appearance location, which was still some distance from the Tauren's dwelling, Thunder Totem. Highmountain's terrain was complex and very favorable for Tauren defense; Urginesh wouldn't be able to advance much in a few days.

However, Urginesh was a Faceless One, extremely powerful, and the Tauren simply couldn't kill him.

If the devourer of gods were unsealed, there might be a chance to kill Urginesh, but the probability wasn't very high. If they alerted him, it might attract the attention of Yogg-Saron, which Gale did not want to see.

It seems he could only ask for help!

He turned his gaze to Cenarius Grove. Winter Veil had passed; Malorne should have time now, right?

"Go tell Antalia to speed up production. As soon as a crate of weapons is full, send it directly to Highmountain."

"Notify Salador to take the Rangers to help the Tauren."

"Also, tell the Tauren that I will give them other assistance."

Kana advised, "Master, your body has not fully recovered yet, so it's best not to go yourself."

"The assistance I speak of is not me, but a demigod."]}
