Chapter 126 - Chapter 126: Sword of Domination

Metri glared at Sogus and then turned his gaze to the Apostle.

Nash's Fang emitted a powerful chill, condensing into dozens of ice spears that flew straight towards it.

The Apostle had just recovered from the effects of the Flash spell when it was pierced by the ice spears, turning it into a sieve.

Immediately after the ice spears passed, a Tauren charged towards it.

The Apostle furiously fired a barrage of Shadow energy at the Tauren and raised its pincers, smashing them down.

However, a shield appeared around the Tauren, blocking the Shadow energy barrage.

Then, he leaped up, narrowly dodging its pincers.

The Tauren raised his spear in mid-air and vigorously thrust it into its chest.

"Boom—"

A powerful energy explosion killed the Apostle, and the Tauren shouted loudly: "Eagle Spear!"

That's right, the one who had just defeated the Apostle was Moraine Highmountain.

Sogus became even more enraged when he saw the Apostle killed.

Just as he was about to dispatch another Apostle, he saw Malorne's and Cenarius's two small teams approaching it.

"Do you wish to challenge me?"

He sensed the strength of the two Demigods and did not speak in a contemptuous tone.

However, his words were still impolite, and he did not take the two Demigods too seriously.

The two Demigods sneered, manipulating natural energy to quickly kill the spiders and Faceless Ones that dared to block their path.

The Drogbar followed behind the two Demigods, essentially parading.

Soon, the three powerhouses clashed.

For a time, natural energy and Shadow energy flew everywhere, forcing the nearby Faceless Ones and spiders to flee in a panic, and the Drogbar also quickly retreated.

With their battlefield as the center, hundreds of yards became a dangerous zone.

Hundreds of yards away, the Faceless Ones and spiders attacked the Drogbar, who were also seeking refuge, and the Drogbar immediately counterattacked.

The two sides fought, and the thick-skinned Drogbar were not afraid of spiders and could even contend with the Faceless Ones.

Just as the two sides were entangled, Gale, who had just disappeared, suddenly appeared on another side of the battlefield.

He held up the devourer of gods, condensed Sun Power, and swept it across the Faceless Ones who were battling the Stone Giant.

Gale's exquisite micro-control allowed the Sun Power to bypass the Stone Giant, slicing the Faceless Ones in half one by one.

The Stone Giants were stunned to see the sudden reinforcements.

To stop Sogus, only a dozen of them remained.

If they did not receive reinforcements, they would launch a desperate charge at Sogus, eliminating Sogus before they all fell in battle.

Only by doing so could they prevent Sogus from breaking the seal of the Water Elementals plane.

Gale saluted the Stone Giants; although these Titan constructs were not truly living beings, they steadfastly carried out the Titan's command to protect this world, a spirit worthy of admiration.

The Stone Giants looked at each other, then regrouped, preparing to attack Sogus again.

Gale stopped them, "You have sacrificed enough; leave the rest of the battle to us!"

The Stone Giants looked down at Gale, "Elf, although your strength is great, it is still far less than Sogus."

"I admit I am not as good as Sogus," Gale said with a smile, "but I am confident I can kill him."

"Lord Malorne and Lord Cenarius are currently fighting Sogus, which gives me an opportunity to ambush him.

As long as I injure Sogus, under the encirclement of the three of us, Sogus will have no chance of survival."

The Stone Giant was silent for a moment, feeling it was not entirely certain.

"We will move closer.

If you fail, we will continue to attack Sogus."

Gale nodded, "Alright!"

With that, he turned and flashed away, heading to the battlefield where the three powerhouses were clashing.

The Stone Giants followed with large strides, re-entering combat mode.

Gale took out Aggramar's Shield and flashed into the energy storm.

He held up the devourer of gods, condensed Sun Power, and attacked Sogus.

However, Sogus was prepared; a Shadow energy shield blocked the Sun Power.

Although the Sun Power pierced through the Shadow energy shield, it did not cause much damage to Sogus.

Gale smiled; Sogus had actually heard what he had just said.

Seeing Gale miss, the Stone Giants thought Gale had failed and immediately charged.

They rushed into the energy storm, allowing the powerful energy to shatter their bodies, yet still raising their weapons at Sogus.

"Stop!"

Gale wanted to prevent the Stone Giants' suicidal behavior, but they simply wouldn't listen.

One by one, the Stone Giants fell; they never even reached Sogus.

After the Stone Giants died, they would turn into piles of stones, but in Gale's eyes, it was more tragic than rivers of blood.

As the last Stone Giant was about to fall, Gale quickly flashed over and expanded the energy shield of Aggramar's Shield to protect him.

Gale raised the devourer of gods into the air, grabbed the greatsword the Stone Giant had dropped, and infused all the divine power of the four loa into it.

Then he manipulated the greatsword to rise into the sky, reaching a sufficient height before letting it freefall.

The greatsword's speed increased from slow to fast, the sound of it breaking the air turning into a sonic boom, and flames ignited on the greatsword due to friction.

The two Demigods vigilantly looked up, saw the greatsword falling, and immediately disengaged from combat.

Sogus also wanted to escape, but was tied to the spot by the combined efforts of the two Demigods.

Sogus unleashed all the Shadow energy within his body, tearing apart the roots and successfully escaping.

Metri flashed over and cast a Frost Nova, freezing its feet.

Sogus shattered the ice with its pincers and dodged again.

But how could Gale let it escape?

He used Arcane to guide the greatsword to adjust its direction; the greatsword drew an arc in the air, like a Red Flag-17, and despite Sogus's continuous changes in positioning, it still plunged into its head.

"Boom—"

A mushroom cloud rose, and the massive shockwave annihilated all the surrounding spiders and Faceless Ones.

Malorne and Cenarius quickly ran towards the Drogbar, protecting them.

Metri also flashed back to the Kaldorei and Tauren, using the eternal holy grail to recharge and creating a massive ice wall with Nash's Fang, blocking most of the shockwave's power.

After the smoke cleared, Gale put away Aggramar's Shield and calmly looked at the giant crater not far away.

Sogus was already slumped on the ground, and the greatsword, shimmering with magical light, was suppressing Sogus's soul.

Gale flashed to the edge of the pit, plunged the Soul Blade into Sogus's corpse, and allowed the devourer of gods to consume its soul.

Then he waved his hand, casting a spell to pile all the dust around the giant crater into the pit.

This formed a small mountain, with the greatsword plunged into its peak.

Later, when the Alliance Army retreated, the Kaldorei of Amissaran discovered this place and called it the Sword of the Overlord.

Eventually, through word of mouth, this battle was passed down as the War of the Overlord, where the Titans killed the Old Gods.
