Chapter 134 - Chapter 134: Protection Mage Antalia

Because they were so busy, the two had been in love for almost a hundred years. For most creatures, a lifetime would have passed.

But for the Kaldorei, this was normal. The Kaldorei were not only long-lived but also deeply devoted. Kaldorei generally only had one partner, and even if their partner died, many remained so infatuated that they would never love anyone else.

In the world of warcraft, there was a guy in Darkshore who missed his deceased wife for ten thousand years. It sounded truly incredible.

With positive examples, there were also negative ones. Nobles were often more frivolous. Marcus, the world of warcraft's top playboy, got involved with a pair of High Elf sisters.

The love between Gale and Maiev, while not as profound as the infatuated one in Darkshore, was comparable to that of most Kaldorei.

As Maiev had nothing to do, the two went to Andu Talla together. Gale was going to teach his apprentice mages, and Maiev was also very curious about it.

As Andu Talla's primary contributor, Antalia had been busy with government affairs all these years, and her strength had almost stagnated. Metri, who had the best talent, had already become an Archmage. Meijia and Luden, who were from her same period, and Rielly, who graduated a few years after her, were also about to be promoted to Archmage. Even Nalarex, who had already changed professions to Druid, was stronger than her in Arcane cultivation.

Even so, Antalia had managed Andu Talla without complaint or regret all these years. Gale prided himself on rewarding merit, so how could he stand by and watch her waste her talent?

Antalia had good talent, but she didn't have any particular preferences. She was kind and didn't particularly like offensive spells. Therefore, Gale set her on the development path of a Protection Mage.

Protection Mage was not a talent tree in the world of warcraft, but one of the dungeon spell schools.

Azeroth's spells had not deviated from the dungeon spell schools. By slightly organizing the spells, Protection spells could be categorized.

However, before that, he had to create a custom piece of equipment for Antalia. He had initially planned to make a staff, but while he was in the Emerald Dream, Antalia had crafted an epic staff herself. So, Gale changed the equipment to a Mage Robe.

linen cloth was the main material, with truesilver used to create protection runes, which were embellished on the robe. Then, two bases were set on the two shoulders, with two orbs inlaid in the bases—one condensing fire essence and the other condensing water essence. Around the orbs, two crescent moons made of mithril were set, forming a circle with the orbs.

Gale enchanted the crescent moons with Fire Armor and Frost Armor, set up a magic conduction circuit, and powered them with the elemental essence from the orbs.

After the Mage Robe was completed, Gale called for Antalia.

"This is the Twilight Robe, the custom equipment I promised you."

Antalia was immediately drawn to the Twilight Robe. This robe was still far from the witch's cloak. However, the protection spells on it perfectly suited her personality. She had also discovered that she didn't like offensive spells, so she had spent her free time researching protection spells all these years. It was just that doing so was somewhat unconventional, completely unlike a Kaldorei mage.

After hearing Antalia's thoughts, Gale said, "Don't mind others; what suits you is the best. Even if you didn't say it, I wanted you to become a Protection Mage. The Twilight Robe was made according to the development direction of a Protection Mage."

To show his support, Gale took Antalia's staff again and enchanted it with a Mana Shield.

This way, whether it was Arcane, Fire, or Frost protection spells, Antalia could cast them freely. Although these were not all the protection spells, they were enough for Antalia to deal with enemies.

"These few protection spells are not enough. You should have your own Protection Spell Book. Like the Elemental Spell Codex, record all the protection spells in it."

Antalia nodded, "I'm already collecting protection spells, but currently, there aren't many types, so I haven't started making it yet."

Gale: "Once you've collected enough, start making it. If you still want to add more spells, just leave some blank pages."

Antalia thought of the method for making the devourer of gods and immediately nodded, "I understand."

Gale: "During this time, focus on improving your strength. Temporarily hand over government affairs to others. Your current task is to be promoted to Archmage as soon as possible."

Antalia: "Yes!"

Maiev watched Antalia leave happily and asked curiously, "If she only learns protection spells, won't she only be able to passively defend in the future?"

Gale explained, "I plan to train Antalia to be an Archon. She only needs to protect herself. As long as she becomes an Archmage, she will have enough means of self-preservation. As for enemies, others will be responsible."

"It seems you'll have to form a guard squad for her then," Maiev teased. "How is her development path similar to a Troll Witch Doctor?"

"Are there such beautiful Troll Witch Doctors?" Gale asked with a smile.

After Antalia returned, she immediately handed over government affairs to her deputy, then went to Morning Light Tower, and through the portal, went to Gale's Tower.

Meijia and Luden were both there. Gale wanted to use the well water energy in the stone well to complete the shaping of the meridians. After verification by Gale, Sethonis, and Metri, meridians had become a mature discipline.

Compared to the two, Antalia needed to re-learn, and Sethonis was responsible for guiding her.

A few months later, Meijia and Luden successively became Archmages. They also gave Antalia many suggestions based on their experience.

Even so, Antalia still took a few years to be promoted to Archmage.

Everyone celebrated, and Antalia began to make her Protection Spell Book. Among the protection spells she collected, some were found in the library, and others were collected from the market over the years.

Although she hadn't made a spell book in many years, she was still familiar with the process. This was thanks to the practice she had during her time in the Mage Tower. All the production steps were deeply engraved in her mind.

After completing the Protection Spell Book, Antalia pulled Meijia and Luden to test it.

She used protection spells to defend, letting the two attack in turns. Except for Meijia's soul spells, which were difficult to defend against, she handled all other types of spells with ease. The three epic pieces of equipment gave her a significant boost, making even Luden, who focused on high burst damage, feel a headache.

The test results satisfied Antalia, but she was not content with just that. She still needed to find protection spells that could defend against soul spell attacks, to avoid encountering opponents skilled in soul spells.

Protection Mages were a niche among mages; it was good if one out of a hundred mages specialized in protection spells. But as the first Protection Mage, Antalia's protection spells amazed all mages.
