Chapter 243 - Chapter 243: Guardian of Truth and Titan Strike

"Bang!"

The Vrykul flew backward, his neck nearly broken by Gale's strike.

"Ugh—"

Yigrim painfully scrambled to his feet, clutching his chin and neck, looking at Gale in shock.

"What kind of weapon is that in your hand?"

The Miao Miao Hammer wasn't a conventional weapon; although it looked like a war hammer, it was more often used as a meteor hammer. Not to mention in the world of Azeroth, even in Marvel, many people couldn't quite grasp this unique weapon.

Gale shrugged, "Just a war hammer!"

Yigrim rolled his eyes. Have you ever seen a war hammer that's spun around?

Gale: "Have I defeated you?"

Yigrim felt a pang of discomfort, "Champion, your strength is indeed superior to mine. I set up this challenge to find a successor for my weapon. However, you already possess such a powerful weapon, you completely don't need the Truth Guardian—"

"Why wouldn't I need it?" Gale interrupted him, "Even if I don't use it, I can give it to someone else."

Yigrim said in a deep voice, "If others wish to use it, they must face the challenge themselves."

Gale said indifferently, "Are you planning to go back on your word?"

Yigrim: "I will not give the Truth Guardian to someone who cannot wield it, even if your strength surpasses mine."

Gale tossed the Miao Miao Hammer in his hand, "You're the first one to try to renege on a deal with me."

Gale was determined to get the Truth Guardian. This sword and shield set was crafted by Tyr. While its defensive capabilities couldn't compare to Aggramar's Shield, it was superior to the Earth Guardian's Scale. Coupled with the artifact shield he created, he could assemble a tank legion capable of withstanding Yogg-Saron's attacks, buying time to defeat Yogg-Saron.

Yigrim looked at Gale with dissatisfaction, saying angrily, "No one can sway my resolve."

"But death can!"

Gale gripped the Miao Miao Hammer tightly and hurled it at Yigrim's head.

"Bang!"

Yigrim's head was instantly splattered open. His body crashed heavily to the ground, but his soul still stood in place, cursing at Gale, "You bandit, even if I die, I will not give you the Truth Guardian!"

Gale couldn't be bothered to look at him anymore. He walked over and looted the corpse. In a short while, he found the Truth Guardian.

"Even if you forcibly take the Truth Guardian from my hands, you won't be able to use it…"

Before Yigrim could finish speaking, Gale activated the Truth Guardian with Holy Light. Sure enough, just as he had thought, this shield was even more powerful than the Earth Guardian's Scale.

"You… how could you use Holy Light?"

Gale: "There are many things you can't imagine."

With that, Gale turned and walked out of the cave.

Yigrim followed him, wanting to get an explanation.

At the cave entrance, Al descended from the sky, "Your Majesty… Is this your newly recruited Valarjar?"

"Al?" Yigrim looked at Al in astonishment, "Have you betrayed Odyn?"

Al was silent for a moment, "Odyn… is dead!"

"That's impossible! How could Odyn die?"

Yigrim couldn't believe it was true, but he quickly froze, because he had personally witnessed the death of a Titan Guardian.

Tyr!

"Odyn and Torim were ambushed by Loken and both died by his hand."

"Loken again!" Yigrim was heartbroken, "Tyr is already dead, aren't the remaining Titan Guardians also in great danger?"

Al nodded, "Indeed. Therefore, Your Majesty Gale is preparing to attack Ulduar, trying to find a way to deal with Loken and Yogg-Saron."

"You're going to attack Ulduar?" Yigrim asked in surprise.

Gale used the beacon crystal's vision to scan the surroundings, searching for the hiding place of another artifact. Hearing Yigrim's question, he casually said, "That's right, I'm collecting artifacts to prepare for the assault on Ulduar."

Yigrim said angrily, "Then why didn't you say so sooner? If you had told me earlier, I would have joined your team with the Truth Guardian!"

Gale glanced at him: "Whether you join or not doesn't affect the outcome of the battle."

Yigrim felt that he was being underestimated. He argued, "Don't look down on me, I'm a seasoned warrior. In the war when the Maw of Winter Clan conquered Ulduar, no one's achievements could compare to mine."

"You are Yigrim?" Al asked in shock.

Yigrim became smug, "That's right, I am Yigrim."

Al explained to Gale: "Yigrim is the strongest Maw of Winter warrior. In that war, even the most powerful Dragon Rider Clan was merely something he could slaughter at will."

Gale said flatly, "But now, he probably can't even defeat any single Valarjar."

Al fell silent. After the Valarjar were strengthened by Gale, truly, any one of them could crush Yigrim.

Yigrim felt insulted, "I will challenge the Valarjar."

Al shook his head, not optimistic about Yigrim's challenge.

"You'll have your chance!" Gale said to Al, "Take him back to the Hall of Valor and let him also be promoted to an Einherjar. Even if he's not of much use, sending him to the Netherworld could still serve a purpose."

"Yes!" Al obeyed, "Then, Your Majesty, when do you plan to return to Northrend?"

"Once I find the other artifact!"

Yigrim then asked, "Are you looking for Titan's Strike?"

Gale looked at him: "You know its whereabouts?"

Yigrim nodded: "Of course, I was nearby when that warlord built his tomb. I'll take you there. If you find Titan's Strike, just take me directly to Northrend. I don't want to be promoted to an Einherjar; I want to directly challenge the Valarjar."

Gale looked at him with amusement, "You'll regret your decision now."

Yigrim said seriously, "I never feel regret."

"I hope you'll still feel that way then!"

Yigrim led Gale to the Vrykul warlord's tomb. Gale forcibly opened the tomb and found Titan's Strike inside. This should be the first firearm in Azeroth, using the power of a raging storm as ammunition, capable of killing anyone below demigod strength with a single shot.

Its range was incredibly astonishing, almost comparable to the Sea Monster Killer. More importantly, it had a built-in aiming system and didn't require great marksmanship. Using it to equip an ordinary taxi soldier could rival a Sentry Shooter using a Sea Monster Killer.

Coupled with its advantage in size, its practicality greatly exceeded that of the Sea Monster Killer.

Gale smiled, it seemed he needed to find a good sniper!

Soon, he thought of a Kaldorei.

"Let's go find Karna!"
