Chapter 33 - 33: Sonic Shockwave

Leon had expected interference — maybe harassment on the road, a few dirty tricks. But these guys weren't here to play.

They were here to kill him.

"Want my life? Then come take it!"

Leon's foot slammed down on the accelerator. The Silver Marauder surged forward, speed skyrocketing as though it had broken free from the laws of physics. The needle climbed past sanity, and Leon aimed directly at the incoming convoy.

His intent was clear: if they wanted blood, he was ready to take them all with him.

The assassins flinched. At this speed, if Leon rammed them head-on, they'd be nothing but mangled steel.

"Crazy bastard!"

"He doesn't even care if he dies!"

"Fine — let's see who breaks first!"

For killers, there was one rule: never show less resolve than your target. If Leon wanted to gamble, then so would they.

They slammed their own accelerators, their ten vehicles thundering forward.

Not ordinary cars. These were Knight XV armored SUVs, each a monster on wheels.

With steel mesh over the headlights, armored grilles, and reinforced bumpers, they were essentially military-grade vehicles disguised as SUVs. Each was built to tank small-arms fire, shrug off collisions, and flatten lesser cars like toys.

And Leon? He was charging them in what looked like just another exotic supercar.

The killers howled with laughter.

"Ha! Suicide move!"

"Who uses a sports car against armored beasts?"

"Ten cars? We don't even need that many. One's enough to crush him flat!"

The convoy jeered, convinced Leon was about to be pulp under their tires. With the bounty on his head, the payday felt all but secured.

One gunman leaned out a window, cackling as he fired round after round at the Silver Marauder.

Bullets pinged harmlessly off the car's reinforced shell. The Marauder's super glass barely rippled under the impacts, not even a scratch left behind. On the bodywork, at most, a little paint chipped.

Leon smirked coldly. Their weapons couldn't even touch him.

But he wasn't about to waste more time.

His eyes hardened. His voice cut like steel.

"Activate: Sonic Shockwave."

The Marauder's AI obeyed instantly. A low-frequency vibration rippled through the frame, then detonated outward in a cataclysmic blast.

WOOOOOOM!

A wave of sonic energy exploded in every direction. Dust and sand erupted into a blinding storm. It was as though the Marauder had breathed out a hurricane of dirt and fury.

The assassins froze. The road vanished into a wall of swirling yellow grit.

Then came the sound.

Not ordinary noise — but a piercing, unnatural screech, like a demon screaming straight into their skulls.

"AAAHHHH!"

Drivers clutched their heads. Ears bled. Their minds swam with pain.

Shattered by agony, their control faltered.

CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!

Their SUVs' bulletproof windows fissured under the resonance. A second later —

BOOOOM!

All ten windshields burst apart, shards blasting inward like shrapnel.

Blood. Screams. Chaos.

Glass slashed faces, tore into eyes, embedded in arms. The killers shrieked, blinded and bleeding.

With their protection gone, the storm of sand roared into their cabins. Drivers gagged as dirt filled their mouths, or choked as grit burned into their lungs.

Blinded, deafened, half-choking, they lost all control.

The SUVs careened violently. Wheels bounced on uneven asphalt. Steering locked in panic.

CRASH! BOOM! ROLLOVER!

One by one, the armored monsters lost traction and toppled. Some spun into boulders, crunching metal into twisted wreckage. Others flipped violently, passengers thrown out like ragdolls.

One assassin hit the ground — just in time for another SUV to barrel over him. His scream cut off in a spray of blood.

Inside other wrecks, airbags burst, but steel frames crumpled like tin cans. Drivers were crushed in their seats, bodies mangled beyond saving.

In mere seconds, the convoy was obliterated.

Ten cars. Forty killers. All reduced to screaming wreckage and mangled corpses.

Through it all, Leon stayed calm. Hands steady. Eyes sharp.

The Silver Marauder glided forward, parting the chaos like a phantom. He didn't even need to swerve — the assassins had destroyed themselves.

The storm lifted. The wreckage smoldered. And Leon roared free of the trap.

One man. One car. Against ten armored SUVs.

Not a single one could stop him.
