Chapter 156 - 156: A Spectacular Scene

Boom!!!

The grenade exploded, a burst of scorching flames roaring outward.

The shockwave chased the tail of the speeding hypercar, almost licking the edge of the rear wing.

Just a little closer!!

Crash!

The Lykan shattered the glass.

It burst straight out from a 300-meter-high floor!

Bang!!

Five entire glass panels blew apart, shards scattering everywhere.

Flames from the grenade blasted out of the skyscraper—violent, clawing outward as if trying to drag the Lykan back into the tower.

Under the triple assault of fire, shockwaves, and flying glass…

The Lykan barely escaped and began falling in a long parabolic arc.

Tobey was trembling, staring at the ground below, where tiny figures looked like ants.

His heart spasmed violently; his legs felt like jelly.

Damn it, this is 300 meters up!!

Insane!!

Inside the opposite skyscraper, a businessman in a suit was sipping red wine as he admired the beautiful view of Abu Dhabi.

Suddenly the explosion across the way caught his attention.

He raised his head slightly—then froze.

His eyes widened in disbelief.

Outside the window, a red hypercar was flying toward him across the gap between buildings.

Its headlights blazed with an arrogant, untouchable aura.

A car flying between skyscrapers!!

His mind buzzed, thoughts in complete chaos.

He was so shocked he couldn't even make a sound—his mouth hung open in a silent scream.

And the hypercar was still coming closer.

The man completely panicked.

"Holy—!" he screamed, dropping his wine as he dove to the side.

An instant later, the Lykan smashed through his window.

Crash!!

Glass exploded everywhere.

The violent noise drew immediate attention.

This room was an art gallery, with clay sculptures on display.

Seeing the Lykan bursting in, everyone there screamed and scrambled away.

A car??

On the sixty-something floor??

Where the hell did it come from?!

They were completely dumbfounded.

Leon tapped the brakes a few times—

Nothing. Completely dead.

The car couldn't stop at all.

Tobey also realized something was wrong, panic rising in his chest.

He'd driven fast plenty of times—but never in a runaway hypercar with dead brakes, flying between skyscrapers.

This was insane!

"Shit, what do we do?!" Tobey shouted at Leon.

In moments this extreme and dangerous, his instincts trusted only Leon.

He had fully accepted Leon as the backbone of their team.

Whenever chaos hit, he looked to him.

"Relax. I'm here. The car's fine. We're fine."

Leon was calm—almost unnervingly calm.

He pressed the accelerator all the way down.

The Lykan roared, its engine howling even louder as the speed jumped again.

Even faster?!

Tobey nearly fainted.

Another glass wall stood ahead—

And beyond it, another 200-plus-meter fall straight down.

One mistake and they'd turn into paste.

Tobey shut his eyes in terror.

Leon didn't hesitate.

Right before hitting the glass, he yanked the wheel, making the car drift sideways.

The Lykan smashed through the window horizontally—

toward the next skyscraper.

The buildings were at least twenty meters apart.

Could they really make it?

Tobey's heartbeat pounded violently as he stared at the world outside—

the golden sunlight, the tiny ant-like people far below.

If they didn't reach the opposite tower, they were both dead.

His pulse skyrocketed.

Adrenaline blasted through him.

Halfway through the jump, Leon pulled the handbrake and stomped the brake pedal—

letting the hypercar soar freely through the air.

The next building grew closer—

Tobey's breathing sped up.

He could see his own terrified reflection in the glass.

CRASH!

The car broke through the window.

Inside, Leon drift-spun the Lykan repeatedly, using the momentum to bleed off the insane force of impact.

Friction roared through the room, forcing the car to slow down.

They approached another window—

and Tobey grabbed the handle in terror, face pale as a ghost.

Outside was open air.

A gap of at least fifty meters.

There was no way to make another jump.

They'd be dead instantly.

This window was their only hope.

Tobey's palms were drenched in sweat.

He prepared himself mentally to bail out—

But the Lykan finally slowed, then gently tapped the glass, resting safely inside the room.

Not even a crack.

"Haaah…"

Tobey exhaled sharply, collapsing into his seat in a pool of cold sweat.

"You almost killed me…" he muttered, wiping his forehead.

He had truly thought he was about to die.

"Perfect," Leon said casually.

From the moment they flew out of the first building, he had been calm, composed, razor-focused.

Somehow, chaos excited him—and sharpened him.

"One hundred million, earned," Leon said with satisfaction.

A global-limited hypercar, one of only seven in existence, was about to enter his garage.

He wasn't giving it back to that Jordanian prince.

Not a chance.

"How do we get it out of here?" Tobey asked, looking at the cramped room.

The doorway was far too small.

The only option was lifting it out with a helicopter.

"That depends on Benny."

Leon's eyes gleamed.

Right on cue, the sound of helicopter blades echoed outside.

"Gentlemen, the world's most handsome pilot, Benny, at your service."

He even gave Tobey a wink.

Tobey was speechless.

He'd known Benny for years and never realized the guy could steal helicopters this easily.

His skills had leveled up like crazy.

With everyone working together, Benny successfully air-lifted the Lykan to the designated location, where the system's teleportation array could safely transfer it into the garage.

For another two- or three-hundred thousand, the system would fully repair it—

flawless condition, all diamonds intact.

Better than new.

Leon happily paid the fee.

Very soon, videos of the flying-car stunt were all over Twitter—

footage taken from the ground.

People watched in shock as the blazing explosion blew out a window and a hypercar leapt between skyscrapers hundreds of meters up.

Comments exploded:

"Holy hell, I'd go limp up there!!"

"This is INSANE!"

"He really made the jump?!?"

"Where did the explosives come from? Is that from the God's Eye heist?"

"I'm scared just watching this!!"

Everything blew up.
