The Emperor was having second thoughts about whether it was actually a good idea to bring Micky here at all. Granted, it was probably better than having a staring contest with Danny while competing to see who can hold their nerve better - a competition which James would never lose but didn't feel 100% confident about against this formidable foe.
Micky, his more sociable cousin, though, was getting too much attention here. He was marveling at the myriads of artifacts that were on display, most of them no doubt from the Kharune tribe. James somewhat regretted that he did not look any further into the Kharunes after they became such a big deal at the last dinner. It seemed this obscure tribe and their culture was a huge deal for Misha, and unexpectedly, his father. But if he were to be honest, perhaps that was precisely the reason that held back James from showing any interest.
