Just as the Emperor was moving his piece toward what was certain to be his last move, heading to the Broadwalk and Misha rubbing her palms, there was a faint noise upstairs, which only Danny got to hear.
This wasn't good news, as the Dad knew it must have been exceptionally loud sound for it to seep through the bunker's hatch.
Danny quickly reached for the light switch on the wall and flicked it off, although he was confident that no light could escape from this bunker.
"Aw, Dad! I was just about to win!" Misha protested.
"Shh, someone's upstairs," Danny whispered. "You two - with me."
In the darkness, Rachel's agents moved toward his voice, silent and tense.
"This is unacceptable. Breaking into our house," Danny groaned.
"Oh, dear. Please don't hurt anyone," Linda was worried.
"If they come down here, I will," the Dad wasn't in a mood to entertain any more guests tonight.
