Chapter 50 - Chapter 49 – The Edge of Everything

The walk back to Ryuzí's house was quieter than either of them expected.

Not the exam silence, not the suffocating kind — but a charged quiet, every step crackling with anticipation. Their hands brushed occasionally, fingertips grazing, before Suki shamelessly caught Ryuzí's and laced their fingers together.

"You're tense," Suki teased, voice light but eyes glimmering. "Scared of being alone with me, honey?"

Ryuzí's jaw tightened, his ears flushing red. "…Shut up."

Suki leaned closer, grin widening. "That's not a no."

Ryuzí muttered, "…You're impossible." But his grip didn't loosen.

The Takeda house was still. Shoes lined neatly in the entryway, the faint smell of cedar hanging in the air.

"They're out," Ryuzí said quietly.

Suki's grin widened. "Perfect."

Ryuzí groaned. "…Don't make this weird."

Suki tilted his head, eyes soft. "Weird? No. Perfect? Yes."

He kicked off his sneakers and padded after Ryuzí down the hall, tugging his hand shamelessly.

Ryuzí's room looked the same as always — tidy shelves, neatly made futon, books stacked in precise order. But tonight, the air felt heavier, the silence thicker.

Suki plopped onto the bed without hesitation, sprawling out. "Smells like you," he teased.

Ryuzí's face went crimson. "Don't say that."

Suki propped himself on his elbows, smirking. "Why not? It's true. And I like it."

Ryuzí turned away, ears burning. "…You're ridiculous."

"And you love me," Suki sang softly.

The words landed heavier than usual. Ryuzí froze, then exhaled, his lips twitching faintly. "…Yeah. I do."

Suki's grin softened into something tender. He patted the bed beside him. "Then come here."

Ryuzí sat stiffly at first, hands gripping his knees. Suki slid closer instantly, resting his chin on Ryuzí's shoulder.

"…Relax," he whispered.

Ryuzí's heart hammered. "…I can't. Not with you looking at me like that."

Suki chuckled low. "Like what?"

"Like you're about to eat me alive."

Suki grinned, lips brushing his ear. "…Maybe I am."

Ryuzí shivered. "…Id—" He stopped, exhaling shakily. "…Suki."

That was all it took.

Their lips met in a slow kiss, careful at first. But the moment Ryuzí's hand slid to Suki's waist, Suki sighed into him, tilting his head, deepening it.

The kiss turned hungry fast. Mouths opening, tongues brushing, breaths mingling. Suki pushed him back until Ryuzí lay half on the bed, half sitting up, his hands trembling as they clutched at Suki's shirt.

Suki straddled his lap, grinding down just enough to make Ryuzí groan low in his throat.

"You're holding back," Suki whispered against his lips, voice hot. "Stop."

Ryuzí's chest heaved. "If I don't, I'll—"

"Good," Suki cut in, nipping at his jaw. "I want you to."

Clothes started coming off — slow at first, hesitant. Suki tugged Ryuzí's hoodie over his head, tossing it carelessly aside. His fingers traced the lines of Ryuzí's chest, his grin wicked.

"God, you're built," he whispered. "No wonder everyone stares."

Ryuzí flushed. "…Don't say things like that."

"Why not?" Suki leaned in, teeth grazing his collarbone. "You're mine. I get to say whatever I want."

Ryuzí groaned, his hands gripping Suki's hips. "…You drive me insane."

"And you love me for it," Suki purred, rolling his hips again.

Ryuzí's control wavered. His lips crashed back onto Suki's, their kiss messy now, full of teeth and tongue.

Minutes blurred. Shirts discarded, skin against skin, heat building.

Suki gasped when Ryuzí's hand slipped under his waistband, fingers brushing lower. "Ryuzí—"

Ryuzí froze. "…Is this okay?"

Suki's eyes were glassy, his grin shameless. "More than okay. Please don't stop."

Ryuzí's chest ached at the words, at the trust in his voice. "…Tell me if it's too much."

Suki leaned close, lips brushing his ear, voice dirty and breathless. "Too much? Honey, I want all of you. Every inch. Don't you dare hold back."

Ryuzí shuddered, groaning low. "…You're insane."

"Yours," Suki whispered, kissing him again.

They tumbled back onto the bed fully, tangled in blankets, bodies pressed tight. Kisses turned deeper, touches bolder. Suki's voice filled the room — soft gasps, whispered pleas, dirty little taunts that made Ryuzí's head spin.

"Harder.""Touch me more."

Ryuzí cursed under his breath, kissing him hard enough to shut him up. But even then, Suki smiled against his lips, pulling him closer, begging for more.

By the time they finally paused, both half-naked and trembling, Ryuzí's forehead pressed to Suki's, his voice was rough, breaking. "…I don't want to hurt you."

Suki's eyes softened, his grin still cheeky but laced with sincerity. "You won't. I trust you."

Ryuzí's chest ached. His hand brushed down Suki's side slowly, reverently. "…Are you sure?"

Suki kissed him softly, whispering against his lips. "I've never been more sure."

They kissed again, slower this time, hands roaming, bodies heating. The room felt too small, the air too thick, everything tilting toward one undeniable truth:

This was happening.
