Chapter 90 - Stark's Troubles

After finishing the whiskey in his glass, Stark's mood suddenly became a little low.

He looked down at the ground, "At the Terrorists' Base, I saw many weapons manufactured by Stark Industries, which is why I want to close the weapon research and manufacturing department."

But I found that my kidnapping was not simple; someone sold my itinerary. He was the one who sold Stark Industries' weapons to the Terrorists.

He was also the one who revealed my whereabouts to the Terrorists. Although I have a suspect in mind, I don't know who this person truly is."

Indeed, not many people knew his whereabouts.

But these people were all high-ranking executives at Stark Industries, and they had no reason to sell him out to the Terrorists.

Moreover, Stark Industries is the largest arms company in the United States of America; 70% of the Military's weapons are produced and manufactured by Stark Industries.

And among these Military weapons, all the most profitable ones were researched and designed by him personally.

The people in the company had no reason to betray his whereabouts; doing so would bring them no benefit whatsoever.

On the contrary, they would all lose their jobs due to his death. Research personnel were fine; they possessed research technology.

Even if they left Stark Industries, they could find suitable places to continue working.

Stark Industries' competitor, Hammer Industries, had always coveted his employees.

If he had died in Afghanistan, Hammer Industries would have been Happy to take on his company's employees.

But that guy, Justin Hammer, couldn't possibly have known his whereabouts.

And the employees who did know his whereabouts wouldn't betray him for a small amount of money.

Stark felt a bit lost, continuously confiding in Andy.

Andy also had no solution for Stark's predicament.

He didn't know who betrayed Stark's whereabouts, but one thing was certain: Pepper and Happy were not involved.

They were the ones who informed him that Stark had been kidnapped by Terrorists, and they were the ones who asked him to go to Afghanistan to rescue Stark.

Andy couldn't give Stark a correct answer, so he could only pour him a drink as comfort.

Holding the glass Andy handed him, Stark looked at the Mark 2 with empty eyes.

"No matter what, I must close the weapon research and manufacturing department."

"Besides trying to uncover the hidden enemy, I can no longer allow my weapons to fall into the hands of Terrorists."

Andy, lying on the sofa, swirled his glass, glancing at Stark, who was still muttering to himself.

"Alright, stop thinking about that. You have other technical support; the company's transformation will be very simple."

"If problems arise, you can come to me for help. I think it's also a good option for us to partner up and open a new company."

Yes, Andy really wanted to establish a new company because of the Grinner's fundamental technology unlock.

He had more options, but Orokin Technology's expansion outward couldn't always be handled by the parent company.

Establishing a new company was the correct choice, especially after all these years.

Orokin Technology already had many subsidiaries under its banner.

One more subsidiary would have no impact on the current Orokin Technology.

Moreover, if they could partner with Stark Industries, the new company would gain more patented technologies and sales channels.

As for whether Stark would agree to the partnership, that was his business.

But based on Andy's understanding of Stark, their partnership was inevitable.

Andy never doubted this; besides being a super scientist, Stark was also a qualified businessman.

He could always accurately grasp market trends and always find the correct answer among many choices, no matter the time.

Stark finished the drink in his glass in one gulp, rubbed his face, and regained his spirits.

Andy was right; he possessed a large amount of technology, and a transformation would be a very simple matter.

And no matter who betrayed him, he would find that person after the company's transformation.

With a bruise on his forehead, Stark looked at Andy, "You want to establish a new company? Tell me, what kind of company? Maybe I really can get involved."

His head started to hurt again. He gently rubbed his forehead and said, "Get me an ice pack, Jarvis."

"Yes, may you be in good health."

Jarvis responded, and a robotic arm in the mansion retrieved ice from the refrigerator, wrapped it in cloth to make a simple ice pack, and delivered it to Stark.

"It seems my imitation isn't bad. Imitating you in transforming the house into what it is now has had an effect; at least it's very convenient now," Stark said with a smile, holding the ice pack to his head.

Originally, his mansion didn't have so many robotic arms, but after seeing Andy's laboratory, he was also tempted.

Because Andy's laboratory was simply too convenient.

When doing research and experiments, Andy didn't need to walk back and forth to get materials.

He only needed to notify Audis, and a robotic arm would help Andy bring the materials to him.

So Stark also renovated his mansion, with numerous robotic arms and tracks crisscrossing the mansion, which indeed made his life much more convenient.

Andy looked around the equipment in the room and nodded in agreement.

The biggest reason why technology in this World has developed so rapidly is for the convenience of humans themselves.

Even Military equipment has this aspect; firing a shot and reloading versus continuous firing, continuous firing is always more convenient.

Regarding Stark's question about the type of new company, Andy replied, "The type of the new company hasn't been determined yet, but the new company definitely won't be biotechnology."

"I want to develop in the area of powered armor. While designing and manufacturing warframes like Volt, I also designed some conceptual drawings of powered armor."

"The technology inside isn't very advanced, so it can be sold to the Military."

Stark thought about it and agreed to the cooperation; Andy's project was quite interesting.

The technical content wouldn't be too high, which meant low cost and enormous profit margins.

And this type of powered armor had always been sought after by the Military; they had never stopped experimenting.

The inferior powered armor that came out of Military laboratories every year was regarded as a treasure by those people.

If Andy sold this kind of powered armor, the people in the Military would surely be ecstatic.

As for whether the Military would try to crack it, anyone would understand that this was bound to happen.

But everyone has their own methods of technological blockade; Stark himself was an example.

He had sold so many weapons and equipment, and Hammer Industries had bought quite a few, but they still hadn't successfully replicated a single piece of Stark Industries' equipment to this day.

And since Andy dared to sell this powered armor to the Military, he would certainly be prepared for technological blockade.

Stark would definitely not miss such a project with huge profit margins.

"You shouldn't just be inviting me, I think Osborn is also on your invitation list."

He knew Andy too well; this guy always invited people around him to join whenever he had a new project.

In his words, this was called "sharing blessings and enduring hardships together," a proverb from China.

Seeing that Stark had guessed his intentions, Andy said with a smile, "That's right, I am indeed preparing to invite Norman. He has been researching powered flight vehicles for a long time."

"It can be used in conjunction with powered armor. You just figure out how to provide the energy and power! Haha."

Stark had no objections to this; since it was a collaboration, he naturally needed to contribute his own things.

As for the cost of establishing the company, none of the three of them were short on money.

Establishing a company was just a small matter; a little money would certainly not be on their minds.
