As the police began evacuating the captives, Andy moved silently through the stronghold, checking for any remaining threats. He could feel the adrenaline still humming in his veins from the earlier confrontation, but his focus remained razor-sharp. Each corner could hide a hidden assassin, each shadow could conceal a trap.
He crouched near a stack of crates and examined the marks left by the red-clad assassins. The faint scorch patterns and gouges suggested that someone—or something—had moved swiftly through the area before the boxes exploded. Andy's instincts told him this was only a fraction of the Hand's operation.
"Chief George," Andy murmured into his comm, "this isn't the only hub. The Hand has multiple outposts throughout the city. I recommend coordinating with SWAT teams and special units to start clearing them systematically."
Chief George's voice crackled back, tense but steady: "Understood. Keep yourself safe, Andy. Your intel is invaluable. We'll take it from here."
Andy nodded to himself, though Chief George couldn't see it. He had no intention of staying out of the fight. With a swift leap, he vaulted through a nearby window, landing silently on a fire escape below.
From his vantage point, he could see the streets swarming with police reinforcements. Flashing blue lights reflected off puddles and broken glass. Andy felt a surge of satisfaction—justice, at least for this stronghold, had been served.
He activated Ignis briefly, allowing the residual flames to flare along the rooftops, a silent warning to any remaining Hand members lurking nearby. Then, with the grace of a shadow, he vanished into the night, heading toward the next location.
Meanwhile, inside the hideout, Chief George surveyed the chaos. The white powder, the scattered weapons, and the hundreds of freed captives painted a grim picture. "This is just one node," he muttered under his breath. "The Hand's network is enormous. If it's like this here… the city might be crawling with more of these cells."
An officer approached, holding a tablet. "Sir, we've recorded all evidence and captured video of the prisoners. They're being processed now. Should we start cataloging the crates of narcotics?"
"Yes," Chief George replied firmly. "Every box, every powder sample. We need to understand the full scale of their operation before any of it disappears."
As he spoke, one of the freed captives approached hesitantly, tears still streaking their face. "Thank… thank you," they whispered, voice trembling. "I… I thought no one would ever save us."
Chief George gave a tight nod. "You're safe now. Andy's the one who found you and made this possible. You just focus on staying safe."
Outside, the city slept uneasily, unaware of the silent war waged in its streets. Andy, a shadow among shadows, already had his next target in sight. There was no time to celebrate.
The Hand's influence ran deep, and every outpost cleared revealed only a fraction of the organization's power. With Ignis at his side and his sword gleaming in the moonlight, Andy prepared for the next strike. The night was far from over, and the hunt had only just begun.
The Hand would learn soon enough: wherever they hid, no corner of the city would remain untouched by Andy's justice.
