Chapter 65 - IMMORTAL SHOP

[Immortal shop opened]

[Listed items for sale]

[Weapons for sale ]

[Blue Goblin Spear tier 1: increases strength by 3. Price: 300 Astrum coins.]

[Iron Breaker Blade tier 2: increases strength by 5. Price: 550 Astrum coins.]

[Swift Bird Twin Dagger tier 2: increases speed and agility by 4. Price: 700 Astrum coins.]

[Boundary Pike tier 1: increases stamina by 4. Price: 400 Astrum coins.]

[Titan Grip Warhammer tier 1: increases stamina and strength by 5. Price: 800 Astrum coins.]

Currently only 5 weapons were available in the weapon section, and the price was pretty high. The issue now was how he was going to get more Astrum coins. Because these weapons were at the low grade, what would happen when he levels up and needs stronger weapons?

The only time the system awards him coins is when he fights high-level targets and completes special missions. Currently, he had about 3,800 Astrum coins which was considered poor since he could barely afford low-level weapons. Thinking about being poor, Ethan scratched his head and reminisced about the past.

Thinking about how he was going to level up, he needed to acquire a dungeon key again, but how would he do that?

Scrolling, he entered the armour section and only 3 items were listed.

[Armour between are only available]

[Vanguard Armour tier 1: blocks 5% of attacks. Price: 400 Astrum coins.]

[Wind Runner Cloak tier 1: adds 3 speed stats. Price: 300 Astrum coins.]

The armour didn't mean much since he had his Lightning Armour tier 3 to get to. At least it could stay strong for him till he reached Apex. Same as the weapons. What he was interested in was the beast mount.

[Mutant Beast Mount Price: 5000 Astrum coins]

Seeing the price, Ethan was flabbergasted. For only a mutant beast it cost this much. He wondered how much a sacred or even heavenly beast would cost. "Damn," Ethan cursed. How was he going to amass Astrum coins now?

Then his mind thought of something—Instant Dungeon. He needed dungeon keys to fight high-level beasts. Not only would he gain Astrum coins, his strength would also increase. The thing was, he didn't know when next the system would reward him with a dungeon key.

Opening his inventory, Ethan decided to check out his newly acquired beast soul.

[Fiery Cloud Toad level 1 exp 0/5000]

[Attributes: strength 50, speed 50, agility 50, stamina 50]

[Skills: fire and wind manipulation, Increasing Mountain ]

[Technique: Fiery Cloud Mountain Technique ]

Ethan was impressed. Who would have thought he would nail this type of beast? Its technique and skills were well-off. Ethan could say this beast could face an Ork Chief and Black Knight to a draw. He was going to try it one day.

Ethan couldn't summon the beast just yet; when he was in a dire situation maybe he could summon it for some seconds. Ethan giggled like a kid who just received a brand-new toy. And he was going to play with it soon—he just needed patience.

Darting his eyes, Ethan came across other sections of his inventory. For example the [Chaos Harbinger Talisman] and the [Divine Relic of Space and Time — ].

For whatever reason, since he received these items he couldn't use them at all, and he was sure they were priceless treasures. For example, the Divine Relic of Space and Time—seeing the description, Ethan was thinking maybe it was a Divine-level weapon. Since he couldn't summon any of them, it meant his level was too low.

If Ethan forced it to summon, he might burst into mince meat. Thinking of how he got the Divine Relic of Space and Time, he couldn't help but feel sad. The king who wanted to see tomorrow reminded him of how desperate someone would be if their loved ones were in deep danger. The king wanted to know what would happen if he died and the greedy gods plundered their planet to an empty shell.

Which was one of the reasons Ethan must get stronger. Perhaps one day he would protect humanity from the evil and greedy gods.

After finishing checking other stuff, Ethan took a health potion and a mana potion. Fighting the Fiery Cloud Toad inflicted some injuries on him and his continuous use of mana had drained him.

After relaxing for about an hour, Freddy was the first to stand up. He used his shadow sense to try and perceive a 5-meter radius from where they sat. He couldn't sense anything. Ethan was happy Freddy was gradually mastering his aspect. Shadow Aspect was very rare and unique. Although he hadn't heard much about them, Ethan knew this type of aspect could make someone stronger than others at the same level.

"Guys, we gotta move. We don't have much time lying around," Ethan said, giving a hand to Lynx so he could get up.

"Ah damn, I feel relaxed now," Gloria said, stretching. Ethan gulped as he saw her long fresh legs and round bosom. Gloria sensed an eye on her and her eyes met Ethan's.

"Eh, I knew you were a pervert," she glared at Ethan angrily.

"I wasn't looking," Ethan denied.

"Whatever," she turned away as she went to meet Freddy.

"Eh, that girl, such spirit," Lynx chuckled.

"Ah, don't get the wrong idea. I am not into that type of girl. She ain't my type," Ethan shook his head.

"Yh right," Lynx laughed.

"Guys, are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Freddy said, looking up at the sky. The others followed, shock filling their faces.

High up in the sky, a billboard was seen hovering mid-air. On it were rankings from one to one hundred, and immediately numerous names appeared on the list.

The most obvious one was number one. It wrote:

ETHAN SYLVESTER — 50 POINTS.

The one that followed was Alex in second with 35 points, and another girl named Chloe with 30 points.

"50 points? How?" Ethan looked and then immediately calmed down. He was going to be first place; he just didn't expect to get there earlier.
