Chapter 7 - OAA's Gift

Chen Xi was sitting on a park bench, relishing the feeling of the sun on his skin. He felt completely refreshed.

"Where did the clothes come from?"

"Isn't his family's chain of clothing stores everywhere?"

If it were up to him, he'd have preferred to go without clothes and simply bask in the warmth and grandeur of the sun.

Right now, every cell in his body was greedily absorbing energy from the Yellow Sun. The celebration of countless cells brought him a sense of joy.

With trillions of cells celebrating, his power was steadily increasing, growing stronger every second!

"This is a miracle of life!"

"This is a miracle that defies the laws of conservation of energy!"

"If the entire universe were filled with Kryptonian legions, what a spectacle that would be!"

Chen Xi muttered to himself, stunned beyond words.

No wonder Krypton was doomed. They were too strong, forcibly written to die on Krypton, forcibly unable to find a Yellow Sun.

Feeling his power constantly increasing, Chen Xi clenched his fist and slammed it hard into the air. Unsurprisingly, the air exploded.

"This is true security!"

Chen Xi shook his head, a smile of emotion on his face. Don't let the fact he had billions of dollars fool you, soon to be tens of billions.

But the feeling of being on edge, only he knew. In this dangerous Marvel World, it was too perilous.

Heroes were everywhere, villains were as numerous as dogs!

Just in case some crazy person or a runaway Mutant decides to off him one day…

Right then!

"Young man from another world, welcome to the Marvel World."

An old man with a kind smile suddenly appeared on the other side of the bench and greeted Chen Xi.

"Hello, sir. I didn't want to come either!"

Chen Xi was stunned for a long time before answering with a wry smile.

Even though he knew the System had guided him here, Chen Xi was still terrified when facing this supreme god of Marvel.

He knew it in his heart, how could a stowaway from another world like him possibly hide?

He originally thought the old man wouldn't care, as who would pay attention to an ant that wandered into their home?

For the Marvel World, wouldn't he be less than an ant?

But now, this ant, ready to stir things up, wondered if he would be squashed. After all, squashing him now would be infinitely easier than crushing an ant…

"Haha, young man, don't be nervous. I don't intend to settle any scores with you. I just find you very peculiar. So many transmigrators have come to my world, but only you carry an inexplicable aura of karma."

The old man smiled kindly, voicing his confusion.

Transmigrators were as numerous as the hairs on an ox, nothing more than a drop in the ocean to him. How much of a splash could they make?

"Aren't you afraid I'll disrupt your plans? For example, if I start a killing spree?"

Chen Xi continued to probe, knowing the old man wouldn't kill him, so he decided to be bolder.

"A plan? What plan? It's just a single universe under the multiverse. If it's destroyed, I can just rebuild it. It's all within my thoughts."

"Massacre? The equality of all beings is just an illusion. Everything is just a competition, and death is the final destination."

"Countless animals are sent to the dinner table. In their world, humans are all the bad guys. Does good and evil really exist in the infinite multiverse?"

"In every stage of life, after every experience, there will be new understandings. I hope you don't change your original intention and have no regrets about what you are doing now."

Chen Xi couldn't calm down for a long time, staring blankly at the scenery in front of him as it gradually lost focus. So, this is the realm?

Is destroying trillions of lives in the universe so cold?

Turns out, my heart is still burning!

"Alright, you'll understand later. I also know where your karma comes from. Here's a little something for our first meeting."

The old man looked at the dazed Chen Xi and patted his shoulder, smiling.

Then, a light that couldn't be described flashed, and a cube-like object appeared in his hand.

"This is the Inter-Universe Teleportation Matrix. If you encounter a crisis where a strong individual forcibly erases a universe, and I am not wandering in this universe, crushing it will allow you to randomly teleport to other universes. However, I still hope you never need to use it."

Chen Xi regained his senses and looked at the mysterious cube in front of him. A sense of security welled up within him. He hadn't just escaped unscathed; he'd also gained such a benefit! He was thrilled!

"Thank you, old man. Since you put it that way, I'll really go all out." Chen Xi said, half-jokingly.

"Hehe, you should take it easy, kid. This old man is living a good life here, and I quite like it."

The old man waved his hand dismissively, then got up and, like an ordinary old man, ambled away, leaving only his back.

Watching the old man disappear before his eyes, Chen Xi came back to himself and lowered his head in thought, "What did the old man mean by karma?"

The System was silent for a long time before slowly speaking, "What he guessed is only the limit of his abilities. You don't need to know too much."

Chen Xi fell silent upon hearing this. Any transmigrator would want to know the System's origins; there's no free lunch in the world.

But he was already a cheap life to begin with. Every day he lived now was a bonus, and he was openly enjoying a life that shouldn't have belonged to him.

"Can you organize my information for me? I feel like I'm completely in the dark right now," Chen Xi asked.

"No problem."

"Host information has been compiled."

Looking at the System's organized panel, Chen Xi finally understood how powerful he was now. As long as those bald guys didn't show up, he was the boss.

Although Kryptonite didn't exist in the Marvel World, magic certainly did, and there were even powerful psychics.

Superman's magic resistance wasn't comparable to his physical resistance, but it was still better than the average person's. If he really wanted to become super awesome, he'd have to find a way to enhance his magic resistance.

Fight magic with magic?

Find a blue star to bask in? A neutron star? A quasar?

These wild ideas flashed through his mind, but he rejected them all. None of those things were realistic at the moment.

Finally, he turned his attention to the Justice Points. He naturally didn't believe they only served to unlock templates. Sure enough, a System Shop window appeared next to him.

When he entered the System Shop, he realized he was as poor as a beggar...
