Wanda's lazy voice drifted from behind him.
Turning his head, Chen Xi saw her resting her fair arm on the blanket, her rosy lips curving into a playful smile as she blew him a kiss.
What a temptress.
His breathing quickened slightly, and he was just about to walk over when Jean Grey entered from outside the room.
"Breakfast is ready. Whatever else you're thinking of doing can wait until after we eat."
Doing that sort of thing in broad daylight really wasn't ideal.Feeling a little awkward, Chen Xi coughed twice, leaned over, and gave Wanda's bright red lips a quick kiss, then another on Jean's lips before heading to the living room.
The food was delicious, but his mind was elsewhere.
He still had a system.To level it up, he had to complete missions.Right now, he was a Silver Superhuman—already an incredible existence.
But Chen Xi was the type who had to beat a game once he started it.And the next stage was Golden Superhuman—an even more powerful being than Silver.
In the Marvel stories, Golden Superman appeared only briefly.Most of the time, it was Silver Superman and other cosmic beings who were commanding the winds, saving worlds, destroying them, or throwing everything into chaos.
In DC's One Million universe, Golden Superman could create, alter, and know all things.Nothing could harm him.In the lore, his power level surpassed even the Silver Superman.Unfortunately, he never appeared again.
Though no one in this world could defeat Chen Xi anymore, there were still countless other universes beyond it.
After all—this was the Marvel multiverse.
In this world, mutants and ordinary humans lived peacefully together.Everything seemed to be moving toward a bright future.But this very harmony had drawn the discontent of higher-dimensional gods.
Mutants' powers varied in strength and nature.If their abilities continued to evolve, they could one day become an enormous threat to those gods.
The gods observed the human who had changed everything—the one called Chen Xi.
They traced his past, analyzing every possible strategy.
Galactus spoke first:"His growth rate is fast, but he's already reaching a plateau.If we want to eliminate him, now would be the perfect time."
"Death is the best punishment—for him, and for the mutants,"the Goddess of Death said coolly."There's no need to rush.Whether mutant or human, their lives all rest in my hands."
"Eternity can be a terrifying thing," said the God of Eternity, his tone proud."That man, Chen Xi, seems to be pursuing something… I suspect it's Eternity itself.For gods, eternity is compassion.But for mortals, eternity is torment.That man has made a grave mistake."
The God of Oblivion remained silent.To him, this discussion was meaningless.
The God of Infinity sighed softly."Our power is too vast—we can't descend directly into their world.Perhaps we should each send one of our divine agents to deal with this Chen Xi."
The five gods debated for a long time but failed to reach a conclusion.In the end, their gazes once again turned toward Chen Xi.
Sensing something, Chen Xi's eyes suddenly snapped toward the direction from which their divine intent emanated.
That chilling, hair-raising aura didn't frighten him—it thrilled him.
So… he'd been targeted?
For power of this level to make his body tremble uncontrollably, it could only mean one thing—he was being watched by gods from a higher dimension.
What were they planning?Would they send agents after him?Had his existence already made these gods wary?
Then that meant—new enemies were coming soon!
Excitement welled up inside him.Wanda and Jean exchanged confused glances, unable to understand why he looked so delighted.
Finally, Wanda asked, "Dear, what's going on?"
"Something interesting is about to happen," Chen Xi replied with a grin."I'd better start preparing."
He slipped on his coat and walked out of the house.
His departure was like a king's procession—everywhere he went, people turned to him with admiration in their eyes.
To the U.S. government, Chen Xi was both a blessing and a headache.
They appreciated how he solved the biggest problems…but hated how enormous his influence had become.
Where there is light, there must also be shadow.
For every person who admired Chen Xi with pure respect,there was another cursing him in secret, praying for his powers to disappear.
Stark Industries Tower.
When Chen Xi arrived, Tony Stark personally came to greet him.
"Well, this is a rare guest."
Glancing behind him, Tony smirked."Hey, where are your beautiful companions today?"
Whenever Chen Xi went out, he was usually surrounded by stunning women—most of them mutants, powerful and beautiful.They were utterly devoted to him, coexisting peacefully with each other without jealousy.
Tony couldn't help but envy that part.
"I'm here to take a look at your newest weapons."
Chen Xi stated his purpose directly.
Tony blinked in surprise."You need weapons? With your strength, even barehanded, no one can touch you."
Everyone in the world knew how powerful Chen Xi was.
"I don't need them," Chen Xi said calmly."But mutants do.And ordinary humans will need them too."
At those words, Tony's usual playful look vanished completely.He turned serious.
"Ever since that great battle," Tony said, "Pym Technologies and I have been working together.With the help of several mutants, we've made real progress—we've got weapons, enhancers that unlock human potential without harm… depends on what you need."
He paused, glanced back at Chen Xi, and added,"These research results don't come cheap."
Chen Xi smiled faintly."Money? That's one thing I'll never run out of.No matter the price—I can afford it."
He said it with such confidence that there was no doubt at all.
In this world, anyone could go broke—but Chen Xi never would.
