Chapter 95 - The Girl Who Looks Like Susan

Under a large, lush tree, a small and cute girl was standing with her older brother, watching a beautiful woman emerge from a nearby house.

"Mom?" the girl whispered softly, her lips moving without sound. Her bright eyes lowered quickly, filled with uncertainty.

Her brother, Franklin Richards, had explained many things to her. She understood what he had told her about their past.

"Brother, this isn't Mom," Valeria said calmly.

"How can you say that?" Franklin frowned, surprised by her composure. He had expected her to react like he did—shocked and unwilling to accept the truth.

"Our parents are gone," Valeria explained seriously. "Even if someone named Chen Xi existed in this timeline, we wouldn't be born here. We aren't the same as them."

Franklin, frustrated that his sister was so calm, spun around and stormed off without waiting for her reply.

Valeria was stunned to see her brother leave like that. She stayed in place for a moment, processing the situation.

Suddenly, she felt someone approaching. She turned and came face-to-face with a woman who bore a striking resemblance to Susan.

"Have we met before?" the woman asked, curiosity in her eyes.

Valeria felt nervous. In her world, her mother had passed away long ago. Seeing a younger version of her mother was unsettling.

"I'm new to the neighborhood," Valeria replied with a small smile. "Maybe we've crossed paths by chance."

The woman studied her closely, suspecting that Valeria might not be telling the full truth.

"I live nearby," Valeria continued, "and I sometimes see you and your companion. You seem close." She glanced at her wristwatch. "I should get home; my family's waiting for dinner."

With a polite nod, she turned and walked away. Even as she distanced herself, she could feel the woman's gaze lingering on her back.

Farther down the street, Valeria leaned against a cool wall and let out a quiet sigh of relief.

At that moment, a handsome man approached her with a polite smile.

"Would you like to grab a coffee sometime?" he asked.

This was Chen Xi, coming to check on Susan. He hadn't expected to meet someone who looked like her.

Valeria considered the offer for a moment, then smiled politely.

"Maybe another time," she said softly, shaking her head. "I need to go home now."

Meanwhile, Franklin realized his anger had led him to abandon his sister. He hurried back, but she was already gone.

Despite his ability to manipulate time, he struggled to trace her. He saw only glimpses of her near the tree, speaking briefly with the woman resembling their mother, then disappearing.
