"Chen Xi… are you still bothered by it?"
Susan's voice trembled slightly over the phone, noticing that Chen Xi on the other end had been silent for a long while.
She couldn't understand—this matter had nothing to do with her. Why would he care?
"I'm not bothered," Chen Xi finally said.
In the Marvel universe, goddesses rarely had stable pairings in the original storyline; many had complicated personal lives.
But Chen Xi was different.
For any woman he touched, he was the first man—and all future men would be secondary.
This was the first time he had been approached by someone else's son—especially a future son—so the experience felt unusual.
"Prepare yourself. Tonight, I'll come over and make sure you feel truly cherished."
After saying this, Chen Xi hung up.
Susan had been nervous, but hearing that Chen Xi wasn't bothered made a heavy stone lift from her chest. Light as air, it didn't even hurt.
She smiled to herself, thinking about Chen Xi coming over, and happily began her preparations.
Tonight, she would give everything to make Chen Xi feel an unmatched pleasure.
Susan worked diligently, putting her heart into every move.
Chen Xi noticed the difference—he felt her attentiveness and devotion.
Usually, Susan had a reserved, restrained demeanor with him. He never truly played to his satisfaction.
But tonight… he felt an unusual thrill.
The usual limitations Susan imposed were gone; he tried every variation of pleasure, even staying up late into the night, still unsatisfied.
He even imagined involving Wanda and the others, showing them all the ways to fully enjoy her.
These women were cherished in his heart, and normally he wouldn't risk overdoing anything—if damaged, it would be disastrous.
Susan didn't know that Chen Xi's mind had wandered far from her, even as he lay with her, imagining other women.
"…So, Chen Xi, what's your next move? Or should I just eliminate him?"
Susan asked cautiously while Chen Xi enjoyed the moment.
Initially, he did want to eliminate Franklin Richards, but sparing him proved far more useful than killing him outright.
Chen Xi suspected that Franklin was a pawn for the Planet Devourer.
If the Five Great Deities united, he might not stand a chance. But if taken down individually, there was a real opportunity.
Better to act than be passive.
Better to initiate than wait for gods to challenge him.
Franklin Richards had arrived at just the right time. A god's pawn could be extremely valuable if used wisely—but disastrous if mishandled.
Chen Xi's lips curved into a faint smile.
He scooped the naked Susan into his arms and pressed a fierce kiss to her lips: "You really are my treasure."
Susan felt his joy deepen beyond before, though she didn't know why, and her happiness followed suit.
They spent a wild night together. By morning, Susan was completely exhausted.
"Keep an eye on Franklin Richards. Next time, catch him immediately—don't let him escape."
Franklin was slippery, like a leech.
Chen Xi could track him, but it wasn't easy—and he didn't want to waste time. He knew Franklin would eventually come back for Susan.
Better to leave it to her.
Susan nodded in agreement.
"Don't worry. I'll handle it properly," she said, reluctantly watching Chen Xi get dressed and leave.
She wished she could stay by his side longer.
Just one night wasn't enough.
The task Chen Xi entrusted to her was important, but a week passed without Franklin Richards reappearing.
Susan grew anxious.
Had the mission become impossible?
She didn't know that after meeting her, Franklin realized his mother had already been completely charmed by this Chen Xi.
He didn't try to collaborate again—he went straight after Chen Xi.
Chen Xi was cunning and powerful, leaving Franklin unable to get close.
After several failed attempts, Franklin recalled his own ability: reality manipulation.
He could overwrite an entire universe—but only a pocket universe of his own creation.
His plan: lure Chen Xi into this pocket universe, where his self-created powerful entities would confront him.
Franklin's eyes gleamed with sharp intensity.
He didn't harbor personal hatred toward Chen Xi, but anyone obstructing his birth had to be eliminated.
Mutants or others caught in the crossfire didn't concern him.
Having devised this plan, Franklin felt relief.
He watched Chen Xi frequently visiting his mother, gritting his teeth, eager to act—but creating a pocket universe wasn't instantaneous.
He needed preparation… and greater power.
No one in this world could help him. He couldn't rely on the elusive figure who warned him he'd disappear.
No. There was only one person who could assist him.
His last remaining relative, the one who could truly understand him: Valeria, his beloved sister.
She wasn't a mutant, but her intelligence surpassed even the greatest minds in the universe.
He had strength.
She had wisdom.
Together, they could make sure this Chen Xi would die by their hands.
Thinking this, Franklin's heart surged with determination.
He immediately returned to his original timeline and brought Valeria to his side.
Valeria looked around this world—similar to hers, yet different—and felt a twinge of uncertainty in her heart.
